Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the Foreign Affairs Minister-designate, has outlined an innovative solution to address Ghana’s brain drain issue. Apexnewsgh reports

Appearing before the Appointments Committee of Parliament, Ablakwa assured that his leadership will focus on establishing bilateral agreements with Western countries to export Ghanaian professionals, ultimately benefiting the country and resolving unemployment.

Ablakwa emphasized the need to regulate migration and create a win-win situation. He plans to pursue economic diplomacy aggressively, allowing for bilateral agreements that will solve Ghana’s unemployment crisis. He noted that many countries are seeking Ghanaian professionals and artisans, and Ghana should take advantage of this opportunity.

The Foreign Affairs ministry, under Ablakwa’s leadership, will prioritize brain drain and transform it into “brain gain.” He explained that foreign policy will be used to solve unemployment, creating jobs for young people through bilateral agreements.

Ablakwa cited Cuba and Indonesia as examples of countries that have successfully utilized strategic foreign policies and bilateral agreements to benefit from export labor.
