Fiifi Kwetey, General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), denounced the Akufo-Addo government’s Nation Builders Corps (NABCO) policy as a mere vote-grabbing scam. Apexnewsgh reports

Addressing party supporters at the NDC Youth Manifesto launch in Accra, Kwetey emphasized the stark difference between the NDC’s development-focused policies and the NPP’s vote-driven initiatives.

Kwetey’s sentiments were echoed by George Opare Addo, National Youth Organizer for the NDC, who condemned the government’s inaction on pressing issues like the 21.7% youth unemployment rate and the daily struggle of 8.4 million Ghanaians to access food. Addo criticized the government’s excessive spending, citing examples such as the president’s $17,000-an-hour private jet hire and lavish expenditures on condoms, air conditioning, and tourism capacity building.

Addo emphasized that the government has become the problem, with daily scandals and no solutions to the country’s challenges. He urged citizens to demand better from their leaders, stating, “We elected governments to solve our problems. Unfortunately, this government has become our problem that you and I will have to deal with every day.”

The NDC Youth Wing is calling for change and accountability, slamming the Akufo-Addo government’s priorities as a betrayal of the people’s trust.
