Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, the Member of Parliament for Ellembelle Constituency, recently found himself in a heated exchange with Kwasi Bonzo, the District Chief Executive, over a deteriorating road in the area.
The exact cause of the disagreement remains unclear, but a video captured the MP and the DCE confronting each other in an intense argument. Initially, they used inappropriate language in English before switching to their local dialect.
According to witnesses, the MP had organized a group of individuals to repair the potholes on the road. However, the DCE intervened, claiming that the road was already under contract and construction was in progress.
In the video, the MP, who also serves as the Deputy Minority Leader, can be heard saying, “I arrange for people to fix the road, and now you have a problem.” Mr. Bonzo responded by stating, “The road is under contract. This is nothing but cheap politics.”
