Former Deputy Upper East Regional Minister Agnes Asangalisa Chigabatia has admonished party members across the country to stop the mentality of the Alan/ Nana faction because such actions will only end up destroying the party than bringing unity.
The Veteran politician made the appeal during an exclusive interview with Ngamegbulam Chidozie Stephen of Apexnewsgh.com
Madam Chigabatia who appeared so disappointed with such utterances coming from some party members especially those she expects to know better admonished them to stop such act for the betterment of the cooperate entity which is the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
“Let me tell you something, is only people who don’t understand politics knows about faction because, Alan is NPP, Nana is NPP. Alan is a minister under Nana, so what is the difference? People tell me, we learned you are in Alan’s camp and I say Alan is not a soldier man, he has no camp, I only know one soldier camp in Ghana, Burma Camp. You see, we should stop that. Have you seen NDC saying Atta Mills camp- John Mahama’s camp, so why are we doing that to ourselves? NPP is holistic one party, regardless of whoever you are we have one President and one Vice President and their beautiful wives and some appointed ministers, so that thing must be stopped. Alan is one of the best ministers and he is there serving the President and mother Ghana. So why should people say Alan faction, Kufour faction, and Nana faction, and even in my constituency they have Chigabatia faction. Those who don’t understand politics should stop saying those things, Alan is comfortable working with the President, so why do you bring faction inside it? Those saying all those things, have they asked themselves why didn’t Nana say he won’t give Alan a ministerial appointment? Those things must stop”. She told Apexnewsgh.com
