We are poised to win a considerable number of seats in the region which includes Bolgatanga Central– NPP Reg Youth Org to Isaac Adongo
The Upper East Youth Organizer of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Salahu- Deen Musah Al-Khomeini has sent a strong message to the Member of Parliament for the Bolgatanga Central Isaac Adongo, that the NPP in the Upper East Region is poised to win a considerable number of seats which includes Bolgatanga Central where he (Isaac Adongo) occupies as a lawmaker. The NPP Regional Youth Organizer descended on the Bolgatanga Member of Parliament (MP) Isaac Adongo following the MPs description of his colleague Member of Parliament for Binduri Constituency Abdulai Abanga during a TEIN programme Organized by the Regional Opposition youth wing at St. John Bosco College of Education on Saturday, February 18, 2023. The Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Central Hon. Isaac Adongo, whiles addressing students and party men and women describes his colleague Member of Parliament for Binduri Hon. Abdulai Abanga as a strange person roaming in parliament. “My colleague members of Parliament from the Upper East (and I) are very grateful to you for the numbers you gave us. But you know we have seen some strange person roaming in Parliament and saying that he is from Upper East” However, his comment has been described as very condescending and disrespectful by the Upper East Regional Youth Organizer of the governing NPP in the region. Mr. Musah Al-Khomeini posted this on his wall in response to Mr. Adongo’s pronouncement. “The Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Central Hon. Isaac Adongo, describes his colleague Member of Parliament for Binduri Hon. Abdulai Abanga as a strange person roaming in parliament. This is very condescending and disrespectful, to say the least. In fact, this kind of uncouth and unguarded utterance is unbecoming of him. He should be rest assured, it’s his seat that we are coming after. The NPP in the Upper East Region is poised to win a considerable number of seats which includes Bolgatanga Central”. Upper East NDC leadership are late commas, reasons why they can’t get development for the region
If you are wondering why the debate about the NDC in the Upper East Region not bringing development still exists in the minds of some residents of the region, don’t look any further. Apexnewsgh.com report Mr. Yen Nyeya has revealed, that those seen as NDC leadership in the Upper East Region are late commas in the party, they are not seen as parts and parcels of the party. The reason they are not given attention by the party when it comes to sharing the national cake for the region’s development. Mr. Nyeya made the pronouncement in an exclusive interview with Ngamegbulam Chidozie Stephen of Apexnewsgh.com on Friday, February 3, 2023. Giving a brief history of what happened in the past, he said Upper West is well recognized by the NDC because when former President Jerry J. Rawlings needed an alternative, he found Upper West as a source to recruit and counterpart people in the Upper East Region and that is why we have the Alban Kingsford Sumana Bagbin’s, the present Speaker, you had the late Sali and others who were brought into the regime and in the process of development, any little development is sent there. So, the Upper Easterners who later joined the PNDC or the NDC were late commas and you can see, that they don’t have that strength or control. Supposing if I and Nicholas Atampugre and Co had stayed, we may have been able to extract resources. The Cletus Avoka and Mahama Ayariga, they came later. So, because they were late commas, they were not able to gain that access because is about those whose voices are heard. But unfortunately, they are not seen as part of the various government that has ruled in the NDC and NPP, the leadership are not seen as part and parcel of those parties, they are not seen as owners. Hon. Asaga and co were Ministers but they were seen as late commas. Mr. Nyeya believes the people he describes as late commas in the NDC didn’t have much influence to extract development for the region. “So, they didn’t have that much influence and even in terms of a new colonial development, they could not access the little resources that were there to the region and that is why up to now, we don’t have an Airport”. He told Apexnewsgh.com
NDC: Haruna, Muntaka not cooperating with Speaker of Parliament–Asiedu Nketia
Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, the just-elected National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress, (NDC) has once again justified the party’s decision to reshuffle the leadership caucus of the Minority in Parliament. Mr. Asiedu Nketia at a Press Conference in the United Kingdom openly said, changing the party leadership in Parliament became necessary because the Minority leadership was not in a good working relationship. He claimed that the minority leaders had issues cooperating with the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin. He said: “Why did we struggle to get an NDC person elected as a Speaker of Parliament? There are certainly some advantages and those advantages can be tapped into when your leadership is cooperating with the Speaker. So we cannot have a situation where NPP leadership is cooperating with the Speaker, and our NDC leadership has challenges cooperating with the Speaker.” “And if you are given a party whose leadership in Parliament is not working together, what will you do, you make the changes, or you resign, and I’m not about to resign,” The chairman stated. The comments by the National Chairman of the NDC come after the Council of Elders of the NDC admonished aggrieved members of the party, Members of Parliament and party leadership to refrain from further public pronouncements following the change in Minority leadership. In a statement issued on Saturday, January 28, 2023, the Council assured to come up with an early and principled resolution on the matter. The NDC last week reshuffled its leadership in Parliament replacing Minority Leader Haruna Iddrisu with Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, MP for Ellembelle also replaced Ketu North MP, James Klutse Avedzi as the Deputy Minority Leader while Kwame Governs Agbodza replaced Asawase MP, Muntaka Mubarak as the Minority Chief Whip. But several NDC MPs have described the leadership changes as undemocratic and deeply worrying after they claimed they were not consulted before the change. Meanwhile, over 70 MPs subsequently signed a petition to reject the decision of the party. For publication please kindly contact us on +233256336062 or Email apexnewsgh@gmail.com

He said: I encourage you not to lose hope in Ghana and Africa because it is far more useful to look forward to the future with hope than to brood over the present with despair. My phone is the most-called in the whole NDC—NDC Chairman
The newly-elected National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Johnson Asiedu Nketiah has said, he is the most called in the whole of NDC, as he denied the accusation of not making himself accessible to the grassroots which came up as an issue strongly against him in the run-up to the 10th National Congress of the NDC. Speaking on Metro TV monitored by Apexnewsgh.com, Mr. Asiedu Nketia said, “There is no truth about that. I have only one number and you can’t be talking on many phones. People will call you if they believe that you offer solutions and because of that my phone is the most-called in the whole NDC. “Because I provide solutions, things that are to be handled by constituency executives are sometimes brought to my attention. “I’m on more than 3,000 NDC platforms and I don’t know how any human being can follow and post on all these platforms. Because you don’t have the opportunity to explain your side of the story, people always blame you,” he told Metro TV. However, he also adds that as hard as he tries to keep up, he is unable to respond to all calls and texts sent to him. He also denied allegations he has multiple phone numbers. NMC Chair Ayeboafo demands immediate resignation of Asiedu Nketia
The Chairman of the National Media Commission (NMC), Yaw Boadu Ayeboafo, has called on newly elected Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, to resign as a member of the Parliamentary Service board. He said the position demands neutrality of the highest sense and he doesn’t think a leader of a political party can do this. Mr Asiedu Nketia, who at the weekend beat incumbent Samuel Ofosu Ampofo to be NDC National Chairman, has served on the board since 2021. He was appointed together with former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament Abraham Ossei Aidoo as the Speaker of Parliament’s nominees onto the Board. The Majority Leader, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, Minority Leader Haruna Iddrisu, and the Clerk of Parliament, Cyril Nsiah, are the members with the Speaker as the Chair. But Mr Ayeboafo says it unconstitutional for a leader of a political party to advise the Speaker, for that matter. He cited how the late Peter Ala Adjetey was removed from the Commission because he was the National Chairman of the NPP. The former Editor-in-Chief of state newspaper Daily Graphic said the constitution was amended to ensure that Mr Ala Adjetey did not stay on as a member of the Commission. “So, if somebody holding political office cannot be a member of the Commission, how can somebody leading a political party advise the Speaker which is supposed to demonstrate objectively and neutrality of the highest sense?” 3news—
