Akufo-Addo Under Fire As NPP Chairmen Accuse Him Of Neglect; Say Their Wives Are Leaving Them Due To Hardships
Some stalwarts of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) have accused President Nana Akufo-Addo of neglect The former constituency chairmen say after spending their resources on bringing the party to power, they have been left to their fate They add that their situation has been worsened by the current economic hardships, with some of their wives leaving them A group of stalwarts from the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) have lamented the current economic hardships in the country. According to the former constituency chairpersons from across the country, their woes have been further deepened by the neglect from President Nana Akufo-Addo. The group says they have been left to their fate despite selling their properties and spending huge resources on the campaign to win the 2016 and 2020 general elections. At a press conference, a former Chairman for the Sampa Constituency, Seidu Adams, accused the president of not doing enough to reward them after their various sacrifices in the heat of the campaign seasons. Adams, who spoke on behalf of the group of former constituency chairmen, said some of them have lost their wives because they cannot make ends meet. The group says most of them spent their savings for the 2016 and 2020 elections to campaign for the NPP. To their surprise, they say they haven’t been given the recognition they were assured of after the party won power. The aggrieved NPP chairmen say if nothing is done about their predicament, they will be forced to sabotage the party’s efforts to break the eight. Adams added that they will go to all lengths to ensure the party loses in the 2024 election since they have been rendered useless in their constituencies and families. Akufo-Addo Declares Threats To Vote Out NPP Because He Has Not Delivered Does Not Frighten Him The president told a Kumasi-based radio station that should people decide to vote out the NPP because of concerns about poor road infrastructure, it is entirely their decision. Koku Anyidoho threaten Asiedu Nketiah with a letter
Former deputy General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress, Koku Anyidoho, has threatened to place an injunction on the party’s upcoming national executive elections slated for December 17. According to him, he will head to the law courts to trigger the injunction if his name is removed from the party’s voter’s register by its General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah. In a Twitter post on October 29, Anyidoho insisted that he was still an NDC member and that nobody has sacked him from the party founded by the late former President Jerry John Rawlings. “Just for the record; Nobody has sacked me from the NDC and so if Asiedu-Nketiah, perfidiously removes my name from the voting register, I will have no opinion but to place an injunction on the National Election. Aluta Continua,” he tweeted. Background Koku Anyidoho was in a letter dated July 27, 2021 expelled from the National Democratic Congress for anti-party behaviours. It followed complaints brought against him by some members of the party as well as further investigations and decisions taken by the Functional Executive Committee of the NDC. “At its meeting on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, the Functional Executive Committee (FEC) of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) considered the report and recommendations of the National Disciplinary Committee on the case of misconduct and anti-party behaviour brought against you (Koku Anyidoho), pursuant to article 48(1)(9)(a) of the NDC constitution,” part of the statement signed by Asiedu Nketiah read. “The Functional Executive Committee (FEC) acting in compliance of Article 48(1) of the NDC Constitution unanimously adopted the report and accepts full responsibility for your expulsion from the party,” it said. “You are, therefore, by the decision of FEC expelled from the National Democratic Congress and for that matter you are no more recognised as a member the party and cannot carry yourself as such,” it stated. But Koku Anyidoho on a number of occasions has shot down his dismissal from the party. “It was an individual who came out and said so,” he said in a February 17 interview with Accra-based Asaase Radio. —Dailynewsghana— For publication please kindly contact us @0256336062 or Email apexnewsgh@gmail.com
UER: NDC much more committed to the realization of Upper East Regional Airport than…..–Dr. Dominic Ayine
The Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga East Constituency and former Deputy Attorney General Dr. Domnic Akuritinga Ayine has said, as far as the issue of Upper East Regional Airport is concerned, the NDC as a party is much more committed to the realization of that project than the NPP. Apexnewsgh.com report The Bolga East legislature set the record straight during an engagement on Apexnews Ghana’s flagship development programme dubbed “SPEAKOUT UPPER EAST REGION” with Ngamegbulam Chidozie Stephen on Wednesday, October 28, 2022. The Upper East Regional Airport has been in the news over a period following the decisions by political parties and their representatives in and outside the region. First, it was a big problem between two communities in the BONABOTO Zone Sherigu and Sumbrungu quarreling over citing location, which was later partially resolved. Then, when the misunderstanding between the two above communities was about resolving, the Aviation Minister of the blessed memory Mr. Kofi Adda decided to change the location to his constituency in Navrongo. That matter wasn’t resolved until he was removed as Aviation Minister and subsequently met his untimely death. However, sharing his experience and the effort he has made as far as the Upper East Regional Airport is concerned Dr. Ayine gave detailed explanations. He said under the NDC, plans were more advanced; “When we were in office, plans were far advanced for the regional airport to be constructed. When we lost power, Hon. Kofi Adda became Minister of Aviation. I went to him and told him that the plan we had for the regional airport should be continued. He agreed with me but, subsequently when I spoke with him, may God bless his soul, i can’t lie for a dead person. He told me from the ground, it was not going to be good for him if he moved the venue of the airport from Navrongo to Sumbrungu. He said, it was not going to be good for him politically. Dr. Ayine revealed “But I kept urging him and his deputy Mr. Afful, i kept telling them to buy the bullet and go ahead and do as we have planned. He was there for 4 years, he didn’t let a finger because of this political issue he raised and finally, he was removed as Aviation Minister and subsequently met his untimely death”. He explained The Bolga East legislator further explained how he engaged the Transport Minister on the Airport Issue and the response he got. “I have spoken several times to the Transport Minister on the matter and he told me that the Regional Minister is working assiduously on it and the regional minister himself informed me that they have brought two investors one was from Morocco and that they are doing visibility studies to know whether or not it will be wealth wise in investing resources to construct and manage the regional airport on what they called Build Operate and Transfer basis (BOT). That is where we are with the regional airport”. He stated However, Dr. Ayine believes, as far as the Upper East Regional Airport matter is concerned, the NDC as a party is much more committed to the realization of that project than the NPP. “Because this is the sixth year running and not even a sod cutting has taken place as far as the regional airport is concerned”. Ghanaians can Argue till the cat comes home, President Akufo-Addo won’t listen to them–Alhaji Mbalba
Alhaji Alhassan Mbalba, Chairman of the United Kingdom/Ireland Chapter of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is of the view that, if Ghanaians want they should argue till the cat comes home, President Akufo-Addo will not listen to Ghanaians when they cry out loud. Apexnewsgh.com report According to Alhaji Mbalba, the only thing the President could easily tell Ghanaians when they are seriously crying about hardship and hunger was that Ghanaians are even lucky to have him as president. Alhaji Mbalba made the pronouncement during an engagement on Apexnews Ghana’s flagship programme dubbed “SPEAKOUT UPPER EAST REGION” with Ngamegbulam Chidozie Stephen on Wednesday, October 26, 2022. “If you argue till the cat comes home, Nana will not listen to Ghanaians, he is not a listening President, Ghanaians are dying of hunger and he is telling us that we are even lucky to have him as a president. And this was a man who literally went down on his kneels crying, begging Ghanaians try me, try me, now he is telling us we are lucky to have him as President”. Meanwhile, reacting to the numerous calls coming from Ghanaians for the Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta to be removed from office, Alhaji Mbalba questioned why the President appeared too adamant following the cry of the masses “What is stopping the President from sacking the Finance Minister”? He asked He said, just like the President cannot be removed, the constitution has given him the right to fire and appoint his Ministers. “He can even choose to appoint his family, girlfriend whosoever, the constitution has given him that right, there are no any criteria he can appoint anybody and that is why we have a government of families and friends in Ghana” He pointed out Source: Apexnewsgh.com/Ghana For publication please kindly contact us at 0256336062 or Email: apexnewsgh@gmail.com
