57% of Ghanaians satisfied with Akufo-Addo’s performance – IEA Polls

At least 57% of Ghanaians have given thumbs up to the Akufo-Addo administration in a poll conducted by the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA). The Twitter-based poll by the think-tank gauged how Ghanaians were satisfied with the performance of President Akufo-Addo over the past three-and-a-half years. IEA Ghana on the 16th of October 2020, administered a poll on its Twitter Handle @IEAGhana and asked as follows, “how satisfied are you with the performance of the current government over the past 4 years”. Respondents had four options to choose from, namely; “Very satisfied, Satisfied, Dissatisfied, and Very dissatisfied”. Over all, 5,625 people voted according to the final results of the poll. Fifty-seven percent (57%) of the respondents who voted chose “Very Satisfied”. Six percent (6%) settled on “Satisfied”, seven percent (7%) opted for “Dissatisfied” and twenty-nine percent (29%) chose “Very dissatisfied”. Implications of the Polls The results of the poll according to some social and political commentators who have expressed their opinions about the development seem to suggest that the flagship programmes of government such as the free SHS, Planting for food and jobs, one district, one factory, one village, one dam among others have caught on well with the Ghanaian people. Additionally, some comments also point to the fact that the Ghanaian people appear to be happy about the level of leadership shown by President Akufo-Addo in the fight against the novel corona virus, COVID-19. With forty-nine (49) days to election 2020 (7 weeks), if the IEA polls is anything to go by, there is clear indication that the Ghanaian people have made up their mind to maintain President Akufo-Addo in office. I am heart broken because of the general insecurity in the country- James Agalga

The Member of Parliament for Builsa North Constituency James Agalga of the Upper East Region, said he is heartbroken with the recent insecurity happenings in the country. Mr. Agalga who was speaking in an interview on Bolgatanga based A1 radio’s ‘Daybreak Upper East’ monitored by Apexnewsgh.com lamented that the unprecedented attacks, robbery and murder the country has witnessed recent times is becoming alarming. He said, even though all these murders and attacks are witnessed under the leadership of President Akufo Addo, no single soul had been brought to justice as a result of the heinous crime. However, Mr Agalga also blamed the Police for not helping matters, claiming that most of the vigilantes that are been trained are responsible for the ongoing robbery and attacks. He believes the moral of Police Service in the very is very low, “they speak to me every time because am their ranking member, so I know how low their morale is”. The mode of recruitment must be transparent, because they always recruit vigilantes just like the likes of DOUBLE and co as National Security officials” Mr. Agalga also pointed that murder and armed robbery has seen an increase to about 27% percent compared to the prevailing situation during the John Dramani Mahama government in 2016. “I presented the evidence to the Speaker in Parliament, murder and armed robbery has increased to about 27% compared to the prevailing situation in 2016.” “Lives are been lost every now and then.” He added However, he called on government to improve the general security situation of the country to enhance citizen’s protection. “Let us improve general security situation of our country, so that citizens will be protected”
Ursula Owusu campaigning across Ghana for her Vice Presidential ambition – A Plus

Social Commentator, Kwame A Plus has said that Communications Minister, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful does not deserve any praise for her campaign activities across the country. An influential member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Gabby Otchere-Darko a few days ago in a post on Facebook was grateful to Ursula Owusu for involving herself in the party’s campaign regardless of her busy schedule as a Minister. He expressed disgust at other government appointees who have failed to join the campaign in the name of being busy and quizzed them on who they want to campaign for them to be reappointed. But reacting to this, Kwame A Plus insists that Ursula Owusu is campaigning for herself and not because she has the interest of the party at heart. According to him, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful has a Vice Presidential ambition and therefore is using this opportunity to market herself to members of the NPP. He wrote: “New Patriotic Party (NPP) stalwart, Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko is questioning why most appointees in the Akufo-Addo-led administration are yet to sell the party’s successes to canvass for votes ahead of the December 7 polls.” He has, however, commended Communications Minister, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, for her nationwide campaign tour describing her tenacity and zeal in campaigning for the ruling party as “exceptional.” “Why is Gabby pretending that he does not know why Ursula Owusu who is the NPP Ablekuma West parliamentary candidate would leave her constituency and be campaigning in the Upper East, Northern region and other parts of Ghana instead of concentrating on her constituency? I have been reliably informed that she has vice presidential ambitions. Let her take a lie detector test to prove that she does not.” “She is campaigning for herself, not any NPP biaa. As an MP who must concentrate on winning your constituency, when the president pass here you too you pass there – campaigning in other people’s constituency why? Are you contesting for nationwide MP? She is just trying to build an image to be selected as Bawumia’s vice very soon. Because nobody knows here outside Accra. If I walk with her on the streets people will identify me and ask if that’s my Maame no she’s fine though. Alakit But you see, money and power has deleted the 2007 experience from their heads. Just as Kuffour was not able to force Alan Kyeremanten on NPP then, Akufo Addo can’t force anyone on NPP now!!!” “Even if he is able to win this election, from 2022 nobody would pick his calls and those who contest for even polling station chairman in his name will lose. “Bawumia would be flag bearer and Ursula would be his running mate We are waiting for you the “perfect couple” Mo trim y3 mo d3 paa mo saa squad wei Politicians nankasa I don’t know how their brains work. The kind of humiliation that awaits these people errrrh…. what happened to president Kufuor between 2007 and 2010 is small koraa. That sakawa ambition that you people are nursing. All your money will finish. Dey there and misbehave,” he concluded. MyNewsGh Please kindly contact Apexnewsgh.com on Email: apexnewsgh@gmail.com for your credible news publications

What Isaac Adongo said about President Akufo Addo after his Upper East tour will surprise you

Isaac Adongo the Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Central, has described President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s with a bloody unbelievable words. According to incumbent Member of Parliament, since the President Akufo Addo came into the region with his chair, the lives of people of Upper East has been in danger, because there has been numerous deaths recorded even after his departure. According Mr. Adongo, not even only is the President’s Chair is satanic, he the President himself according to the Bolgatanga Central Member of Parliament is a demon. Even though his has been deleted, but people citizens who visits his Facebook wall were able to have snapshots of his posts in their cell phones. However, over a period now, a set of Ghanaians especially people from the opposition party have criticized president for moving around with his presidential seat as he moves around the country. The Member of Parliament (MP) of Bolgatanga Central explained that amongst the many drain on the nation’s coffers aside the government’s ‘bloated’ Ministers and ‘excessive borrowing with nothing to show for’ is ‘President Akufo-Addo carrying his chair around in one dedicated field van which comes at a cost to the taxpayer.’ President Akufo-Addo when he was campaigning for our votes in 2016 sat on our benches to eat kenkey with us. He sat in our shops to talk to us without bringing his own chair but today, even when he goes to a private wedding or funeral, he carries his chair around. Have you asked yourself who bears that cost? Aside he having nothing to show for with his excessive borrowing, he has taken it upon himself to leave huge financial debt before he leaves office. This is what we are against. He must put a stop to piling up our national debt. It is needless of him to be carrying his chair around in a dedicated van. If you could come to our shops and eat kenkey with us on our benches, what is the rationale behind you fueling a van and moving your chair around?” Apexnewsgh.com/Ghana Please kindly contact Apexnewsgh.com on Email: apexnewsgh@gmail.com for your credible news publications
BONGO: A must read campaign message from Peter Ayinbisa as he files nomination form

Before the filling of his nomination form on Friday, Peter Ayinbisa participated in a public forum organized by A1 radio a Bolgatanga based radio station. The initiative dubbed ‘PEOPLE’S FORUM’ a programme designed to engage constituents together with their aspiring parliamentary candidates as a way of letting those aspiring to know issues affecting the people in case they were given the opportunity serve them in parliament . The Programme was fully monitored by Apexnewsgh.com, where the parliamentary candidates for PPP, GUM and NPP fully participated, but unfortunately, the candidate of the opposition NDC who equally given an invitation such as other candidates, told our source that he will not be part of the programme because he will be moving back to Accra as parliament has resumed. But unfortunately, just a minute after the engagement with the other parliamentary candidates, the NDC candidate Edward Bawa was seen near the Bongo Rural bank with some of his supporters, just fews steps to the lorry park where the PEOPLE’S FORUM event took place. However, his absence could not prevent the PEOPLE’S FORUM which ended very successful and interesting with massive participation of citizens of Bongo. Meanwhile, Ayinbisa visited the paramount Chief of the Bongo Traditional area Bon Naaba Salifu Atamale Lemyarum to officially informed him about his readiness to proceed with the filling process to the Electoral Commission(EC) “From now onwards, we are going to intensify our campaigns, we are not going to relent, we are not going to relax, we will continue to campaign, move from village to village, community to community, area to area and house to house until we are declared winners of the Bongo Constituency elections. From here as you can see, we are entering the Zorko community particularly Kadare where we are going to continue explaining government policies and telling them they need to maintain Nana Akufo Addo giving him 4 more years to continue his good works and giving me to the opportunity to serve the people of Bongo as their Member of Parliament. The Bongo people obviously will love to retain Nana Addo for the coming elections. What we are telling the electorate to do now, is to change the direction of the parliamentary votes, because since 1992, has controlled and enjoyed this constituency as they continue to get the majority votes to represent them. But since 1992, we have had various people representing us such as Gaaga, Albert Abongo, Alangre now to Edward Bawa. All of them have contributed to some level of development in the constituency, they have done their part, and they are no more interested in the elections but now, it is my senior brother Bawa who is in the race. What am telling the electorate is that, they should put us together; they should look at our records, look at the NDCs record and look at the NPPs record. They should look at the NPPs records in their first 4 years in government and look at the NDCs records their first 4 years in government, compare the record sector by sector. Let’s look at Education, what do they do? Let’s look at health what do they do, let’s look at good governance, what do they do, let’s look at agriculture, what do they do? So when we compare the two parties, what we have done for the people of Bongo, then, people of Bongo will be in a better position to judge which party should retain power and which parliamentary candidate should be elected. By the time this assessment is done, nobody will choose any other political party than the New Patriotic Party (NPP).” However, the District Chief Executive who doubles as the parliamentary candidate for the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Bongo District, used the opportunity to admonish officials of the Electoral Commission (EC) to do their works without taking sides, because according to him, the constitution of the Republic of Ghana does not allow EC officials to participate in active politics. “Avoid posting partisan thing on social media, it is not allowed.” He added Apexnewsgh.com/Ghana Please kindly contact Apexnewsgh.com on Email: apexnewsgh@gmail.com for your credible news publications.
Your respect for the Chieftaincy Institution is outstanding—Paramount Chief of Nangodi to President Akufo Addo

The Paramount Chief of Nangodi Naba Yelzoya Asaga II has shown appreciation of praises to the President of the Republic His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo for his loyalty and respect to the chieftaincy institution in the country. The chief who was excited during the reading of his welcome address to the President narrated how President Akufo Addo has conducted himself anytime he had the opportunity to meet with him in Accra. “We are indeed grateful and deeply humbled to have you in our midst. Your presence is an excellent demonstration of your outstanding respect for the chieftaincy institution. I remember the first time I met you in Accra for a programme about illegal mining when you were entering, your agents wanted to receive you as President of who you are. But I remembered when you came in, you were eager to let chiefs sit, even though we continue to give you the respects that was due you, that is your attitude and anytime I have met, that always what I saw you, that has shown that you indeed respect and regards chieftaincy and that is what I mean by your outstanding regards for the chieftaincy institution.” He said According to Naba Yelzoya Asaga II, Nabdam has not been left out in the share of the national cake. He was satisfied to inform the president that all his good policies, such as NABO, One District One Warehouse (1D1W), Planting for Food and Jobs (PFJ), etc are poverty alleviated policies which in one way or the other have to benefit the ordinary citizens of Nabdam. “His Excellency, I am pleased to inform you that Nabdam has got its own share of the national cake of which we are grateful. If you are observant, you can see around you we have placards indicating what we have received from you, we are grateful. We have also the past three years witnessed the implementation of several developmental projects, notable among which are the Planting for Food and Jobs (PFJ), Nation Builder Corps (NABCO) Youth in Aforestation, One Village One Dam (1V1D), One constituency One ambulance (1C1A), One District One warehouse (1D1W) which you just finished commissioning a while ago.” He stated According to the Nabdam Chief, Nabdam has been known as a largely farming community, interventions of this nature will go a long way to enhance their livelihood. He extended appreciation to the president for the Minibus he provided to the only Senior High Secondary School and also the pick up to the District Education Directorate. However, like Oliver Twist, Naba Yelzoya appeals to the president for an ultra-modern office complex for the District Education Directorate and a pick up for the Kongo Senior High to enhance education in the district. “Also worth noting, is our initiating of a community base Senior High School in Nalerigu and Sakoti which are been challenged with the implementation of the Senior High School policy, we will therefore be grateful if the Ministry of Education will fully adopt these schools to prevent their collapse.” He pleaded The Nabdam Chief made these pronouncement during the President two day tour in the Upper East Region. Your general performance, is shambolic, abysmal and crummy– Talensi Constituency Secretary to NPP

The Secretary of the Opposition National Democratic Congress in the Talensi District of the Upper East Region Zinekena Solomon has registered some level of displeasure with the President and governing New Patriotic Party, especially with issues of Talensi developments and promises made the people of the Upper East Region. In a press statement released by the constituency Secretary on Tuesday, October 6, 2020, captured by Apexnewsgh.com, they constituency Secretary said, they as a party are not against President visiting of Namoalogo Dam, but they believes, the said dam does not fall squarely under the 1 Village 1 Dam (1V1D) policy per chapter 4, page 50 of the NPP 2016 manifesto. “The President cannot find time to visit one of such dams to commission it but rather seeks cover to inspect the progress of work of a project that does not fall squarely under the President’s flagship policy of 1V1D.” He further stated that for over a year now, no work is going on at the site of Pwalugu Multi-Purpose dam. According to him, they expected the President to place a higher priority on the multi-million project to avert the perennial flooding caused by the spillage of the Bagre Dam as he suggested during his sod-cutting speech, which isn’t what they are currently experiencing as he described President pronouncement then as a deception to the people of Talensi and the region at large. However, Mr. Zenekena pointed that another huge infrastructure project that the people of Talensi and the Upper East Region were expecting the President to pay attention to during his visit is the Pusonamogo 120 – Affordable Housing Units called Rock Estates in the Talensi District, which he claimed the Vice President Dr. Bawumia told a falsehood the people of Talensi during his launching of the NPP’s Delivery Tracker. Below are the full details: SPEECH BY COMRADE ZINEKENA SOLOMON T.T.B., TALENSI CONSTITUENCY SECRETARY OF THE NDC, AT PUSUNAMOGO ON TUESDAY, 6TH OCTOBER, 2020. Title: PRESIDENT NANA ADDO’S VISIT TO THE TALENSI CONSTITUENCY; A FARCE AND ELECTORAL DECEIT. Good morning ladies and gentlemen of the media. Thank you once again for your kind coverage of this crucial platform. Ladies and gentle of the media, this venue is chosen because we want to engage in an evidence-based press conference to put things in perspective for the good people of Talensi and Ghanaians at large. Ladies and gentlemen, the Talensi NDC has intercepted the itinerary of President Nana Addo’s visit to the Upper East Region. In the said document, the President will only inspect an irrigation dam under the Ghana Irrigation Development Authority (GIDA) at Namoalogo in the Talensi District. Ladies and gentlemen, we have combed through the entire proposed programme of the President’s visit, and it appears that it is the only site/project that he is visiting in Talensi. Ladies and gentlemen, the NDC is not against the President’s visit to the dam at the Eastern Zone of the Constituency. However, this press conference is to exposed the record shambolic, abysmal and crummy performance of the NPP government under President Nana Addo and Bawumia by cataloging the NPP’s so-called flagship and unprecedented projects in Talensi which have not caught the attention of the President in his visit. A –The Pwalugu Multipurpose Dam and Irrigation Project. Ladies and gentlemen of the media, you will recall that President Nana Addo on Friday, November 29, 2019, cut sod for the construction of the Pwalugu Multipurpose Dam and Irrigation Project. In his speech at the sod-cutting ceremony, he stated categorically that the project ‘will be the single, largest investment ever made by any Government in the Northern sector of the country’. He also stated that ‘construction of the Dam will avert the perennial flooding caused by the spillage of the Bagre Dam’. Prior to the sod cutting, Vice President Bawumia on Saturday, August 31, 2019, at the Upper West Regional capital, Wa said that it will be the single, largest investment made by any Government in Northern Ghana since independence. Ladies and gentlemen, were these speeches made by President Nana Addo and his Vice their usual rhetoric and lip service speeches where walking the talk become a heavy barrier? If not, why is the President not visiting the site on his way to the Region since Pwalugu is the first community one will first meet when visiting the Upper East Region from Tamale? It is actually the gateway to the Region. It, however, beats the imagination of discerning Ghanaians why the President would abandon and desert a project he claims is the single, largest investment ever made by any Government in the Northern sector of the country. It is also insensitive and clueless on the part of the President to have ignored the project amidst the recent devastating flood in the Northern sector which has claimed several lives, rendered hundreds homeless, destroyed thousands of hectares of farms worth millions of Ghana Cedis, carried away several livestocks and broke culverts and bridges leading to stagnation of economic activities in the affected areas. We expected the President to place a higher priority on this project to avert the perennial flooding caused by the spillage of the Bagre Dam as he suggested in his sod-cutting speech. In the contrary, ladies and gentlemen, it is almost one solid year today, and there is absolutely nothing going on at the site. If it is not for DECEPTION, then, what is this? Ladies and gentlemen, President Nana Addo is not physically stronger than any of us here such he will be the only person to use the pick-axe or shovel to cut sod but it must be backed by the action of implementation. B – 120 Affordable Housing Units at Pusonamogo. Ladies and gentlemen of the media, another huge infrastructure project that the good people of Talensi and the Upper East Region were expecting the President to pay attention to in his visit is the Pusonamogo 120 – Affordable Housing Units called Rock Estates in the Talensi District, which the
“We can now call you ‘PROMISE DO’ President –Tongraan to President Akufo- Addo

The Paramount Chief of the Talensi Traditional Area, Tongraan Kubilsong Nalebegtang, has given the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the name “President Promise-Do”. According to the Tong-Rana, “Mr. President, you have heard most of our prayers, our cries and concerns already. We want to acknowledge your response to them, especially the Pwalugu Multipurpose Dam, the Bolga-Bawku-Polimakom road, which was promised to be constructed by previous regimes without any action, but is today nearing completion under your stewardship.” He noted that several other projects such as the 1-Village-1-Dam initiative, the Free Senior High School policy and the construction of its attendant infrastructure, and the construction of several road and rail projects are examples of the amount of work undertaken by President Akufo-Addo and his Government. To this end, “Mr. President, I say well done. Mr. President, I will call you ‘President Promise-Do’, because you do what you say you will. So, Mr. President, you take the name ‘President Promise-Do’ from this palace,” Tong-Rana Kubilsong Nalebegtang added. The Tong-Rana made this known on Wednesday, 7th October 2020, when President Akufo-Addo paid a courtesy call on him at his palace in Tongo, at the commencement of his 2-day working visit to the Upper East Region. With the President having visited the Ton-Rana’s palace on a “special prayer day and a day of sacrifice for Tong-Ran, which is a period of thanksgiving to God for the harvest, peace, good health and long life of Talen-Teng”, the Tong-Rana stated that “I do not know who told you or proposed this date to you, but I must say that the gods of Talen-teng and Almighty directed you to come here, particularly today, to receive your victory blessings.” Having upgraded the Bolgatanga Polytechnic into a Technical University status, Tong-Rana Kubilsong Nalebegtang expressed the appreciation of the people of Talensi, and, indeed, the Upper West Region for the work undertaken by the President and his Government to transform the country. “We know that there are quite a number of projects in mind which, very soon, in your next term, will brighten the whole of the Upper East Region, and Tongo inclusive. We, therefore, want to say that you have already cleared the way for your next term in office,” he said. The Tong-Rana continued, “Once you have entered this palace, you are the first to enter this palace in this time of the period where the political campaign has started, and, therefore, being the first to be here, you will be the first at the end of it all.” Appealing for the maintenance of the peace, unity and stability of the nation, Tong-Rana Kubilsong Nalebegtang urged President Akufo-Addo to “ensure that, as the Commander-in-Chief, you will nip in the bud all the activities of those who want to divide this country and bring disunity. Mr. President, we know that you are a peace-loving President, and you have always advocated for this. We will, therefore, pray for you to achieve all your aims.” Apexnewsgh.com/Ghana/Ngamegbulam Chidozie Stephen Please kindly contact apexnewsgh.com on Email: apexnewsgh@gmail.com for your credible news publications.
