Hon. Dominic Ayine, is not bringing enough development, vote him out–UER-NPP Regional Youth Organizer to voters

The Upper East Regional Youth Organizer of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Salahu- Deen Musah Al-Khomeini has admonished electorates in the Bolgatanga East constituency to unanimously vote out their current Member of Parliament, Hon. Dominic Akuritinga-yine for not bringing development that directly affects their lives positively in the constituency. The Regional Youth Organizer did not miss any words whiles addressing the media during a Health Walk organized in the Constituency on Saturday, February 25, 2023. According to him, “Dr. Dominic Ayine has done nothing since he went to parliament. The library project that he started is still uncompleted but the Gh2.5 million party office that he built has been completed. Do you know what that money can do for this constituency? Do you know the number of boreholes that would have been constructed?” The Youth Organizer further tasked the youth to remain resolute and steadfast: “We have only one seat but with a united front, we can win more seats and the Bolga East seat is one of them, there is no doubt about that. I, therefore, urge the youth of the party in this constituency to continue to remain resolute and steadfast and I know with that commitment, God will reward us.” The health walk saw dignitaries of the party in the constituency and the region, such as the former 1st Vice Chairman, Dr. Moses Atanga, Regional Youth Organizer, Sala-Hudeen, Regional first Vice, Mr. Isaac Atesige, Regional Organizer, Charles Ndaabon, Regional Secretary, Figo, Awonekai, and all constituency executives and other high profile executives were in attendance. Apexnewsgh.com report The former Trade Minister, made the pronouncement when addressing party men and women in Bolgatanga as part of his engagement. “The delegates who eventually will be deciding who becomes the flagbearer will make a decision to someone who NPP can market to the country and beyond Ghana. Basically, that’s the over-ranking consideration that abreast the attention of delegates”. He also noted, that the party is looking for somebody who can consolidate the NPP vote in their stronghold in the Ashanti Region. ”We are not looking for a flagbearer, we are looking for somebody who becomes president and by doing so puts NPP in power. We are looking for someone who can consolidate our votes in our strongholds Ashanti region and also dilute the strength of the NDC in their stronghold. NDC man who said it’s oK to kill NPP supporters for Mahama’s victory detained by police

Police in the Ashanti region has detained the Suame Constituency youth organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for inflaming electoral violence. Razak Koampa Avoliya, who has been charged with offensive conduct, was detained at the Suntreso District police command after turning himself in at the regional police headquarters. He was accompanied to the police station by the National Organiser of the NDC, Mr Joseph Yamin; Deputy General Secretary Mustapha Bandi as well as some regional executives of the party. Scores of supporters of the party in the Suame constituency as well as other constituencies in the region also stormed the police station to sympathise with him amidst war chants. Speaking to the media, the lawyer for the NDC youth organiser, Mr Evans Amankwa, told the media that his client has been charged after his statement was taken. Mr Amankwa said Koampa, popularly called ‘Mosquito’, was supposed to be taken to court but due to the time factor, he will rather be arraigned tomorrow. Mr Amankwa wants the police to take steps to arrest members of the NPP who have made similar statements as his client to avoid selective justice. His client, he said, meant what he said and is not in any way perturbed about it but has no intention of destabilising the peace of the nation as the statement has been misinterpreted. The suspect, in a viral video, was captured calling on supporters of the NDC to attack and even kill supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the run-up to the 2024 general elections.

Politics in Ghana, too divisive Alan Kyerematen

Former Trades Minister Alan Kyerematen, has stated that politics in Ghana is too divisive. He believes that keeps out some of the country’s best talents in offering themselves for political appointments. “Yes, we pride ourselves as being the bastion of democracy in Africa, but that does not mean that we should allow partisan politics to destroy our collective interests”. The former Trade Minister also noted that “…the arrogance of power has been a major obstruction to progress in our country. People in positions of authority must understand that leadership is an opportunity to serve the people, and not to lord it over them. In servant leadership, humility is an asset and not a weakness, He made this known on Tuesday, 10 January 2023 during his national broadcast. Read Mr Kyerematen’s full address below: Fellow countrymen and women. Friends of Ghana. Let me start first by wishing you all a happy, healthy, productive and prosperous New Year. Secondly, I wish to express formally, my profound gratitude to His Excellency the President for the opportunity given me to serve the good people of Ghana in his Administration over the last six years, and for graciously accepting my resignation as Cabinet Minister responsible for Trade and Industry, with effect from 16th of January 2023. Thirdly, I wish to use this platform to formally announce my decision to contest the flagbearership of the New Patriotic Party when the party officially opens nominations for that purpose. His Excellency the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has been a good friend of mine and will always remain so based on our shared commitment to the ideals and principles that inspired the founding fathers of our great Party, the New Patriotic Party (NPP). We have competed in the past but have always worked together thereafter. The president has laid a strong foundation for the socioeconomic development of our country, although I believe there are things that could have been done differently. My vision is to build a superstructure on this foundation that will bring prosperity to our nation. The pre-COVID-19 performance of our economy, the flagship programmes including the Free SHS, the One District One Factory (1D1F) initiative, the Planting for Food and Jobs programme, the Agenda 111 project and the COVID-19 Response initiatives, are all testimonies of the strong leadership that the president has provided over the last six years. In spite of all of the above, however, it is an undeniable fact that the combined effect of the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine war, has stampeded our country into a crisis of unprecedented proportions, with its negative impacts on the economy, businesses, and on our social lives. I have no doubt that the anticipated International Monetary Fund (IMF) Support Package will restore confidence in our economy, and bring it back to the pre-COVID levels. Fellow Countrymen and Women This is the seventeenth time that we have gone to the IMF over the last 57 years. We promised never to go back but we have gone back. One of the lessons that we have learnt from the recent developments is that Ghana’s economy is still fragile, vulnerable and susceptible to both external and domestic shocks. This primarily is as a result of the fact that our economy is highly dependent on the export of commodities with little or no value addition. Indeed, the 5.1% projected GDP growth for the Ghanaian economy for 2023 is based on the anticipated increase in commodity prices. To avoid going back to the IMF, we need a new plan. A plan that will lead us to a more self-reliant and resilient economy. That plan must move Ghana from stability and growth to transformation. Fellow Countrymen and Women If, by the will of God and through your goodwill, I am voted first, as the flagbearer of the NPP and subsequently as president of the Republic in the next general elections, I will become the transformational leader of our time, who will build on the foundations laid by successive leaders of our nation over the last sixty-five (65) years. To achieve this strategic goal of transforming our dear country to become the shining star of the new Africa, I will, as president, launch and lead the execution of the Great Transformational Plan (GTP) of Ghana which will span the period 2025 to 2030. The Post-COVID Economic Recovery Programme (P-CERP) currently being implemented with the anticipated support from the IMF from 2023 to 2025, will be a transitional economic programme leading to the roll out of this Great Transformational Plan. Fellow Countrymen and Women Before I proceed to provide a brief insight into the key elements of the Great Transformational Plan, seven critical considerations would need to be taken into account to guarantee the success of the Plan. The primacy of the private sector in our national development agenda. The private sector, both domestic and foreign, formal and informal has to be at the centre of our transformational agenda. The government’s focus must be to facilitate the process of making our private sector competitive, by creating an enabling environment for businesses. Attitude to work and enforcement of discipline. We, as a people, should appreciate the need for discipline in all spheres of our national lives and change our attitude to work. Whether you are working for the private sector or for government, as a worker, you are not doing a favour to your employer. It is your duty to ensure that you earn your living from the efforts of your labour. Corruption and petty theft or thievery, particularly from the public purse, deny our country the benefit of utilising its tax revenue and other resources for the development of our country. The arrogance of power has been a major obstruction to progress in our country. People in positions of authority must understand that leadership is an opportunity to serve the people, and not to lord it over them. In servant leadership, humility is an asset and not a weakness. “You are the worst Regional Minister in the region history–NPP Reg Org Charles Ndabon fires Minister for locking DCEs out.

The Upper East Regional Organizer of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Mr. Charles T. Ndabon popularly as ‘Champion man’ has described his party man, the Upper East Regional Minister Mr. Stephen Yakubu as the worst Regional Minister ever had in the history of the region. Apexnewsgh.com report The party Regional Organizer who was registering his dissatisfaction following Regional Minister’s action against some DCEs said, the Regional Minister only used the DCEs as scapegoats to make it look like he is working in the eyes of his boss the president. A news item reported by GNA on December 24, 2022, says, “Mr. Stephen Yakubu, Upper East Regional Minister locked out some Municipal and District Chiefs Executives (MDCEs) and heads of departments in Bolgatanga for reporting late to the Regional Coordinating Council meeting”. Meanwhile, the Regional Organizer believes the Minister acted wrongly and stressed that the DCEs are under the Regional Minister, “if something like that happened, he can call them for a closed-door meeting, but he is rather bringing these things out to score a political point. He advised, the Regional Minister to sit up with the way he is dealing with his office. “The meeting was for the development of the region. So, if the DCEs are late for 2 to 5 minutes, that is enough but to take public for your boss to know that you are working meanwhile you are the worst Regional Minister we ever have”. he revealed Responding to the question of whether he disliked the Minister? Mr. Ndabon said, “Is not that I don’t like him, I respect him a lot but bringing this thing to the media for them to adore him as a hardworking Minister, I disagree with him, is a setup”. “Did he even engage them before to know why they were late to the meeting? The Regional Minister needs to explain this to the people of the region. Because, he cannot just say they came and he locked them outside, based on what? Each person has to tell his or her story and if the story is not reasonable you can take an action”. he stressed He also believes that the Minister’s action was a strategy way to undermine party projects. Insisting that if things go well the NPP wants to win more seats in the region. “But is this a way to win more seats? He asked “Supposing what they were going to discuss is something that is going to bring development in their various districts and he locked them outside, will they be able to know what is going to happen? He asked “Have you ever heard that President Nana Akufo-Addo locked out his Ministers? Are you telling me that all the cabinet Ministers have been attending meetings at the right time? So, you think the President doesn’t face those things? He does experience those things but, he doesn’t bring them out. The Minister only wants to score a political point and that should not be the case because, if we do that we are rather selling ourselves to our party opponents. Akufo-Addo Under Fire As NPP Chairmen Accuse Him Of Neglect; Say Their Wives Are Leaving Them Due To Hardships

Some stalwarts of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) have accused President Nana Akufo-Addo of neglect The former constituency chairmen say after spending their resources on bringing the party to power, they have been left to their fate They add that their situation has been worsened by the current economic hardships, with some of their wives leaving them   A group of stalwarts from the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) have lamented the current economic hardships in the country. According to the former constituency chairpersons from across the country, their woes have been further deepened by the neglect from President Nana Akufo-Addo. The group says they have been left to their fate despite selling their properties and spending huge resources on the campaign to win the 2016 and 2020 general elections. At a press conference, a former Chairman for the Sampa Constituency, Seidu Adams, accused the president of not doing enough to reward them after their various sacrifices in the heat of the campaign seasons. Adams, who spoke on behalf of the group of former constituency chairmen, said some of them have lost their wives because they cannot make ends meet. The group says most of them spent their savings for the 2016 and 2020 elections to campaign for the NPP. To their surprise, they say they haven’t been given the recognition they were assured of after the party won power. The aggrieved NPP chairmen say if nothing is done about their predicament, they will be forced to sabotage the party’s efforts to break the eight. Adams added that they will go to all lengths to ensure the party loses in the 2024 election since they have been rendered useless in their constituencies and families. Akufo-Addo Declares Threats To Vote Out NPP Because He Has Not Delivered Does Not Frighten Him The president told a Kumasi-based radio station that should people decide to vote out the NPP because of concerns about poor road infrastructure, it is entirely their decision.
