Disregard the purported Ministerial appointment, is NPP plan to divide us- Inusah Fuseini

The Member of Parliament for Tamale Central Hon. Inusah Fuseini has cleared the air following the purported ministerial appointment list dated November 26, 2020 captured by Apexnewsgh.com making rounds on social media. Mr. Fuseini told Apexnewsgh.com in an exclusive interview, that no opposition Presidential aspirant will make a ministerial appointment before going in for an election. “…no President appoints people when he is going for an election, it doesn’t happen that way, disregard the Ministerial appointment list-making rounds on social media, it is just NPP propaganda. It cannot happen, even before you nominate somebody for any appointment, you must consult that person. But, i can assure you that for now, the former President Mahama is focused on winning the 2020 election and after that process, he will surely appoint people to work with.” He explained He believes, the purported Ministerial appointments lists as he described it, is a calculated strategy by the NPP to initiate some kind of division within the NDC family. However, Mr. Fuseini insisted that John Dramani Mahama he knows, cannot do such a thing before elections because he is a man of dignity. Mr Joseph Kofi Adda, the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Navrongo Central Constituency in the Upper East Region has declared support for Mr Robert Apechira Aloo, the Parliamentary Candidate (PC) for the Chiana-Paga Constituency. The MP joined supporters of the New Patriotic Party at Chiana for “health walk,” and called on Pe Ditundini Adiali Ayagitam III, the Paramount Chief of the Chiana Traditional Area. Mr Adda, who spoke to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) after addressing Constituents in the local dialect, ‘Kasem’, said “I joined them to show solidarity as my commitment to help them to win the seat in the Chiana-Paga Constituency.” He said most of the youth from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Constituency had joined the NPP, and explained that “They have seen somebody they can identify with, a young active man, who was a banker, worked with Standard Chartered Bank, and later with Stanbic Bank.” Mr Adda, who is the Minister of Aviation, said Mr Aloo had over the years supported him right from his (Mr Aloo) days as a student at the University of Ghana, Legon. “Now that is his turn and he wants to serve his Constituency, I felt it is obligatory, and also because of the faith and trust I have in him as a potentially good Candidate who can serve the people of the Constituency. “I went through the health walk with them and addressed them. I recalled their minds to the good things that the Nana Akufo-Addo’s government has done for the country. Chiana is particularly a place in the Kassena-Nankana area where public school education system started,” Mr Adda indicated. He emphasized the need for the educational system to be strengthened further beyond the current situation, saying “Based on the good policies of Akufo-Addo, the Free-SHS and school feeding programme are policies that they have benefited from. “I personally also helped to construct some boreholes in that area. So many good things have come to the area for them to see and know that the government is there to serve them and to improve their lives.” The Aviation Minister said since Ghana gained independence, Chiana, which was part of Paga and the eastern area of the Constituency had never had an MP. He noted that the PCs for the two main political parties, the NPP and the NDC, Mr Aloo and Mr Thomas Dalu were both from Chiana, adding that even though it was Mr Aloo’s first time, “he has shown some real drive and zeal and has some exposure.” Mr Adda called on Constituents to cast their votes on December 7 in favour of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to retain his seat and vote for Mr Aloo as their MP to continue with the development of the area. The PC who also addressed supporters, in the local dialect later told the GNA that Mr Adda’s support for his Candidature was “Good and welcoming news, he is a father to the Chiana-Paga Constituency, very experienced politician and the people look up to him.” The PC, referred to Me Adda as a father, and stressed that “To have a whole Aviation Minister who is also an MP supporting me, means I have people who are behind me.” The Paramount Chief, Pe Ayagitam III urged leadership and supporters of the Party to be mindful of the COVID-19 protocols as they went about their campaigns and prayed for the blessings of the gods of the land for them. I have never said ‘monkey dey work or baboon dey chop’ – Mike Oquaye Jnr

The Office of Ghana’s High Commissioner to India, Mike Oquaye Jnr has responded to false allegations made against him by a local newspaper, the Herald. According to his Office, the newspaper has always carried false news about the High Commissioner and that makes them believe the paper is on a mission to malign the good and spotless reputation of H.E Mike Oquaye Jnr. Portions of the release sighted by Happy 98.9 FM read; It has come to the attention of Ambassador Mike Oquaye Jnr that a mischievous headline by the Herald is floating about. We wish to state clearly that this was a live show on Metro TV and was not gossip or idle chat. We wish to state categorically for the record that he never mentioned any monkey work or baboon chop. In fact, he never stated or insinuated that whatsoever. He also never mentioned anything about a Minister. In fact, he is not on record to have mentioned to any family or friends he ever wanted to be a Minister. All he chatted openly on TV about was how he enjoyed being an Ambassador and how we should not think it is only for older people has been twisted. On the show with Randy Abbey, he even went on to say he was mistaken about the job and that he was very proud to have been chosen to serve Ghana The same Media house also published an article on or around February 12, 2020, about Ambassador Mike Oquaye jnr “Bring me Back Home – Amb Cries from India”. this assertion was also officially debunked around 16/02/2020. What is the obsession of this newspaper about this job in relation to Amb. Mike Oquaye? In fact but for the upcoming elections, he would have even gone further but he is focused on campaigning in Ghana and Dome- Kwabenya for Ghanaians to vote for 4More years for President Nana Akufo-Addo as President and for Hon. Adwoa Safo as MP, and he is doing a great job at it – as recently shown in the unsurpassed unity campaign message when the President Visited Dome Kwabenya last Wednesday. We will not be drawn into arguments and lies about personalities such as who started Free SHS in Ghana, when even kids on the street know it is a lie to say anyone else did but President Nana Akufo-Addo, is the unchallenged implementer of his dream – Free SHS. No lies, embellishments and false exaggerations will deter the agenda of Elections ion 2020Thank you for your attention.
