The Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources, Madam Cecilia Abena Dapaah has tasked the people of the Upper East Region to continue trusting in the lord and thank him for giving them a great leader such as with certain qualities of honesty, truthfulness, and integrity. UER: Tempane DCE sent an appreciation message to President Akufo-Addo for his visit to the region

The Tempane District Chief Executive (DCE) Issaka Anabida has sent an appreciation message to President Nana Dankwa Akufo-Addo a few days after visiting the people of the Upper East Region. He said, aside from the water initiative, the President and his government have brought a lot of developments into the region such as Agenda 111 which has currently benefited 8 districts in the Upper East Region, One Constituency One Ambulance, One District One Dam, One District One Warehouse, Free SHS and more. He said, he so grateful for the President’s Visit, he is hopeful that by the time president Akufo-Akufo will visit the region again the majority of the ongoing projects will be completed. Meanwhile, according to some angry residents “At the sod-cutting ceremony in July 2018, we were categorically told the project will be completed in nine months. In fact, the contractor promised to finish it in 8 months and hand it over to us as a valentine’s gift. To wit, the project in normalcy should have been completed in 2019 even if it would have had some delays. However, there has been some debate of mistrust coming from some sections of residents of Navrongo who hold the view that the President Akufo-Addo will not listen to the appeal of their Chief.
