Bongo: Our DCE embarked on familiarization tour without involving Party Executives– Executives

Executives of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Bongo Constituency in a report presented to the Local Government and Rural Development Minister against the District Chief Executive Rita Atanga says, she embarked on a familiarization tour within the district without the involving Party Executives. Apexnewsgh.com report “After her confirmation, the Hon. DCE embarked on a familiarization tour within the District. As worthy as such tours were to the Assembly, our Party could not take the due advantage of same. Party Executives at all levels within the constituency were not informed”. The report also said, the DCE visited Traditional Chiefs without the usual involvement of Polling Station Executives, Electoral Area Coordinators, and Constituency Executives who are seen as the face of the Party. “Worse of it all are Traditional Areas, where Assembly Members who are members of the fraternity were not informed. Not even a call from the Constituency Chairman and Executives on her to at least involve Electoral Area Coordinators and Assemble Members sympathetic towards the NPP was heeded to. Per the report, they believes “the consequences of such action if not addressed will lead to disaffection and apathy among the rank and file of our party in the Constituency. Meanwhile, the Executives in the report to the Local Government Minister say all their efforts which include several invitations from the Chairman and Elders extended to her for a meeting to resolve all the issues were turned down by the DCE. The report was released to the media following an accusation by a party member Wilson Dabuo who claimed the former DCE Peter Ayinbisa and executives are attempting to remove the current DCE from office. Bongo NPP: Our mission to Accra was to resolve issues which largely remained unresolved–NPP Executives

Executives of the New Patriotic Party in the Bongo Constituency have disassociated themselves from the accusations of attempting to remove their District Chief Executive as posted by Wilson Dabuo, a party member. Apexnewsgh.com report According to Wilson Dabuo in a Meta post on Friday, August 26, 2022, he accused the Bongo Constituency Executives of what he says is an attempt to remove District Chief Executive Rita Atanga from office. Mr. Dabuo additionally pointed a finger at the former District Chief Executive Peter Ayinbisa for being the brain behind the DCE’s removal agenda. However, responding to the accusation, the Bongo Constituency Executives of the governing New Patriotic Party said, their mission in going to Accra was not to remove Miss Rita Atanga from her position as Bongo DCE but to resolve the misunderstanding between the DCE and the party Executives which they said, is currently affecting the party growth and unity in the area. Read the full statement: PRESS STATEMENT For immediate released To: All media Houses The attention of the Constituency Secretariat of the New Patriotic Party in Bongo has been drawn to a piece authored by Wilson Dabuo. The said piece is captioned as “Peter Ayinbisa Ayamga: The Problem of Bongo Constituency has now become the Problem of the Region’s Communication Team. An Avoidable Bad Omen”. As much as we would have wanted to ignore this loose cannon, we are reluctantly responding to his piece of scraps to reassure our numerous members in the Constituency that we were elected as officers to work for the interest of the Party and we are prepared to do just that. Aside, it is increasingly becoming clear that, Wilson Dabuo is an imposter with an unbridled ego who is always ready to throw tantrums at any person and anywhere once few cowries are thrown at him. We are aware of his love for money and the use of his persona as a vehicle to denigrate others at any beck and call, however, the extent at which he goes about it nowadays is a disgrace to the youth and the Institution in which he is currently working under. The public would recall that in 2019, this same Wilson was suspended from NPP Regional Communication Team for making baseless statements and virtually denigrating the persona of former deputy Upper East Regional Minister and then member of parliament for Zebilla, Hon. Frank Adongo Fuseini. As one of the spokespersons of our respected party, one would expect that he would exude the highest level of discipline, accuracy and sense of maturity to reflect the goodwill and image of the New Patriotic Party. Though he later apologized and was subsequently recalled to the team, one thing that is not recalled off him is his penchant to say anything once the thoughts money crosses his mind. Once again, he is at it because of his perception that he has been deprived of money. It is not our duty as Constituency Executives to respond to issues concerning the Regional Communication Team and what happened during the President’s recent visit to the region, however, the deliberate dragging and wanton denigration of the Constituency Chairman and Executives’ hard-earned reputation in the mud in that manner is what we wish to address. It is of public knowledge that, the Bongo Constituency Executives disagreed with certain decisions taken by the District Chief Executive which does not engender trust and unity among the rank and file of the Constituency. Several efforts to have such issues resolved at the constituency level proved futile. Subsequently, such issues were escalated to the regional level by the Constituency Executives in our bid to address such problems between us and the Hon DCE. As much as the Regional Executives together with the Hon Regional Minister tried in resolving the issues, same remained largely unresolved to the extent that, the Constituency Executives cannot have a meeting without armed thugs from the Hon DCE disrupting them. Matters involving political thuggery are not only affecting the cohesion of the Party in the Constituency but the general operation and development of the District. It is of great worry to every citizen and more especially members of the District Assembly that as at now, the District is yet to organize an Assembly session to elect a Presiding Member for business of the Assembly to go on. It will only take members with tainted love for the Party like the likes of Wilson not see this as concern that needs urgent resolution. As Executives elected to the further course of the Party, we see it very worrying and repugnant to the antecedence of our tradition of rule of law for an Assembly not to have organize any Assembly meeting as yet. Hence, as an interested group and a major stakeholder in the developmental discourse of the District, we will take every necessary step including but not limited to, our recent visit to Local Government Minister’s Office to have the issues confronting Bongo resolved. To do this and have a member who claimed to have much love for the Party describing this constitutionally bound duty of ours, as an assortment to an individual (Peter Ayinbisa Ayamga) interest is most distasteful and mind boggling. It must be put on record without hesitation that the Hon Former DCE, Ayinbisa Peter was not part of the delegation. We are grown enough and well educated to dance to the tune of an individual. Again, the claim by Wilson that, the Constituency Executives are seeking the removal of the Hon. DCE only demonstrates his character of spewing out lies mostly driven by motives other than genuineness. The Constituency Executives have always maintained that, they prefer the path of working peacefully with the DCE for the good of the Party in the Constituency to her dismissal. For want of a better word, the Constituency Executives have NEVER asked for the DCE to be removed from her position. Regarding the claim that, the Executives were denied access to the His Excellency, Vice President

According to him, Northern Ghana has a beautiful and wider diversity of Culture, lots of undiscovered tourist sites, and amazing cuisine. He said, according to statistics, Northern Ghana has the strongest and healthiest group of people in the country. Their strength and health are greatly attributed to the indigenous and highly nutritional food contents they eat and the activities they engage in as people. “The northern people of Ghana are known for eating for strength and vitality and not for enjoyment and this can be seen in the richness of the numerous plant-based meals they have. NDC will offer permanent employment to NABCO beneficiaries—Bunkprugu MP

Member of Parliament for Bunkprugu Constituency in the North East Region Mr. Abed-Nego Bandim has sympathized with beneficiaries of Nation Builders Corps (NABCO) on their current predicaments with the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) as he assured them a permanent job when NDC assumed office. Apexnewsgh.com report Speaking exclusively to Ngamegbulam Chidozie Stephen of Apexnewsgh.com, the Bunkprugu legislator said: “The NABCO programme was only introduced by the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) as a tool for political profiteering.  According to him, “…because the government wanted to use the youth to get into power and we in the NDC foresaw this and we warn the youth of this country that is a trap and is not going to help anything because we could see that its introduction, they were only interested in people who were aligned into the NPP. We saw people who they perceived to be NDC were taken out, they never received salary and we said No, this is not right, these are Ghanaians. So, if such a policy is been rollout, ensure that it favors everybody. But that wasn’t what we saw. So we warned them and the majority of them were before the 2020 election flying and shouting 4 more 4 Nana because there was NABCO but we knew it will not work and this is the result of it, that after they have won power now they cannot pay them, the economy is in shambled and they are now suffering and that is why they are embarking on demonstrations”. He said: “We from the NDC’s side, we recognized that the youth who are the future of this country has lots to offer and therefore, we will come out with sound policies that will be in our manifesto that they will see that it is workable, implementable and sustainable for them when we come to power. However, asking whether NABCO beneficiaries will be given a permanent job if NDC won power, Mr, Abed-Nego said ‘yes’. Explaining further the MP said: “We from the NDC side have the ability to create jobs and we have done that before. If you look at the inflationary rates, the employment rate before John Mahama handed over, it is now on the high side especially when they came out with all these measures, and yet it didn’t work out. So, we from the NDC will have a policy that will absorb our youth into permanent employment to ensure that everybody in Ghana is happy, we have done it before under Jerry Rawlings, Atta Mills and John Mahama so we have a track record. Don’t put all your hopes and minds on ‘NURSING’ consider ‘CATERING’ is more beneficial—Chef Abiro to BOGISS students

A member of the Ghana Chefs Association Ghana Food Movement Mr. Wisdom Abiro Seidu popularly Known in the hospitality industry as ‘Chef Abiro’ has advised economics students of Bolgatanga Girls Senior High School (BOGISS) to consider venturing into the catering business than putting all their hopes and minds on becoming nurses without a job after many years of graduating from school. Apexnewsgh.com report According to him, there are more benefits for anyone who embraces catering as a business idea in his or her future career. Because is one business that can easily expose people from the lower class to very influential personalities with massive qualifications and positions across the world. He said, in order to put the North on the national and international map, he has come up with a project known as “TASTE OF THE NORTH” where he wants to reach out to major key players within the food industry in the northern sector to help address the problem by organizing practical sessions where training will be given on how to properly present northern cuisine to meet international standards and to also help demonstrate how to prevent food waste in the kitchens and how to be very innovative with some of the underutilized ingredients found in the North. Going through some exhibitions with the Students of Bolgatanga Girls Senior High School (BOGISS) said, the project will consider the problem from the youth level to the market level. “That is to say we start from students in high schools studying home economics, to students studying hotel catering and tourism in the Technical University, from the traditional caterers to the chefs in the hotels who understand the vision and want to be part of the change”. He said, as a chef, his main focus is to expose Northern cuisine to the world. Adding that, it is painful that foreigners from various parts of the world visit Ghana without knowing little or absolutely nothing about Northern Ghana cuisine and culture.
