Street lighting in Bawku: Madam Gabiana must take the credit not Mahama Ayariga– Kariyama

A member of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Regional Communication Team Osman Kariyama has said, when it comes to providing community street lighting in the Bawku Municipality Madam Gabiana the 2020 NPP Parliamentary must take the credit and not Mahama Ayariga. Mr. Kariyama made the point on Monday, October 10, 2022, on Apexnews Ghana’s flagship Programme dubbed: SPEAK OUT UPPER EAST” when the NDC representative Ibrahim Anaribazanga made a claim that the Bawku legislature Hon. Mahama Ayariga has provided streetlights across the Bawku Municipality. Meanwhile, responding to the NDC claim, Mr. Kariyama said: “When you look at Bawku, is divided into 3 zones, just like Upper East is divided into 3 zones. We have the Bawku Zone, we have the BONABOTO zone, and the Western zone. Like Bawku is divided into 3 zones, we have the Central zone, we have the Kusasi zone and we have the Bissa belt”. “At the Bissa belt, all the street lights there were put by Madam Gabiana. All the community lights in the Bissa belt were put by Madam Gabiana”. he stressed And when you come to the Central zone, because they already have their street lights. So, for most of the street lights that went off, Madam Gabiana had to replace them. She replaced all the dead street lights and then, in the Kusasi zone whereby some of their light went off, we have Area Coordinators who came and she gave it to them and they went and replaced it. Where there is no street light, they replaced and where there is a street light they don’t replace it. And we did the distribution, we did all the work”. He explained “So, if they say Mahama Ayariga has put street lights, probably he has gone somewhere or maybe some have gone dead and he went and put. But for that one, we were not aware of it because we know what we did during the 2020 election”. The holy bible NPP is having is FSHS–Anaribazanga Ibrahim mocked NPP

A member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Regional Communication Team Ibrahim Anaribazanga has mocked the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) by describing their FSHS policy as their holy bible. Speaking on Apexnews Ghana’s flagship programme dubbed: “SPEAKOUT UPPER EAST” on Monday, October 10, 2022, the Bolga East Communication Officer of the opposition NDC Anaribazanga Ibrahim mocked the NPP. According to him, “the only bible now for the NPP is Free Senior High. If you want to sheet Free Senior High, if you want to urinate Free Senior High. If you asked them, why are doctors not in the hospital? They say Free Senior High School. You asked them why is the cedi depreciating against the dollar, they say Free Senior High School. All their answers is pointing to Free Senior High School. And the Free Senior High School they are talking about, this is not what we call Free Senior High School, the kids are suffering in this country and for them to feed is a problem, Is that Free Senior High School? He asked The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, on Tuesday, 12th September, 2017, launched the Free Senior High School policy, describing the programme as the means to creating a society of opportunities and empowerment for every citizen. At a ceremony at the West Africa Senior High School, President Akufo-Addo noted that he made the Free SHS pledge “because I know that knowledge and talent are not for the rich and privileged alone, and that free education widens the gates of opportunities to every child, especially those whose talents are arrested because of poverty.” President Akufo-Addo noted that the countries that have made rapid progress around the world put education at the heart of their development, referencing the transition to publicly funded high school education by the United States in the mid-nineteenth century. “It must have been a daunting prospect at the time – paying for the education of so many children, for such an extended period of time out of limited public resources, transferring a potential workforce away from immediate productivity for an investment like schooling. But the experiment paid off,” President said Source: Apexnewsgh.com|Ghana For publication please kindly contact us on 0256336063 or Email: apexnewsgh@gmail.com
