Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, former General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has hinted at tabling a suggestion with the National Council to permit both Boakye Agyarko and Francis Addai-Nimoh to contest the November 4 Presidential Primary. According to reports, Kwabena Agyepong, the former General Secretary of the NPP, has indicated his intention to propose a suggestion to the National Council of the party. His suggestion is aimed at allowing both Boakye Agyarko and Francis Addai-Nimoh to compete in the upcoming Presidential Primary on November 4. Agyepong believes that both candidates should be given the opportunity to participate in the primary, as they both received the same number of votes during the party’s Super Delegates Conference. This would provide a fair and democratic process for determining the NPP’s presidential candidate. It remains to be seen how the National Council will respond to Agyepong’s proposal. The decision ultimately lies in their hands, and they will have to take into account various factors before making a final decision on the matter. A comment Mr. Amoah says bothered him and still bothering him. The incumbent Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga East District Constituency Dr. Dominic Ayine while addressing the media after his nomination filing, gave what he claimed to be advice to Mathew Silas Amoah the Parliamentary Candidate for the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) to spend his money wisely because whether he likes it or not, he Dominic Ayine is going to retain the seat to continue his good mandate. “So please, tell Mathew Amoah my good junior brother wherever he has gotten his money from, he should spend it wisely because am going to retain the seat,” Dr. Ayine said. Look, in our part of the region with Ghc 200.00, someone can start a business. I was able to give a woman Ghc 200.00 sometime back, the last time I visited the woman she had a table and I was able to add her Ghc 300.00 and I know the next time I will visit her, she probably will have a small kiosk. So, this is not spending wisely? I should keep the money in Accra, driving a different car in Accra, and bring a different car home to drive, is that spending wisely?
