The aggrieved members of Upper East Regional communication team has called off their strike against the party regional leadership after appointing Peter Ayinbisa as the Regional Communication Director.
The communicators have been on strike for over few months now.
The press statement copied to Apexnewsgh.com says, “We would like to inform the general public, particularly the esteemed media outlets in the Upper East Region, that we have decided to call off our sit-down strike with immediate effect. Following a series of interventions by the powers that be especially the Regional Minister, we have determined that the strike must be called off”.

The New Patriotic Party Upper East Regional Communications Team has called off its strike
We would like to inform the general public, particularly the esteemed media outlets in the Upper East Region, that we have decided to call off our sit-down strike with immediate effect. Following a series of interventions by the powers that be especially the Regional Minister, we have determined that the strike must be called off. The regional communication team members decided to resume responsibility in order to ensure the party’s unity in the region and to break the eight-year streak (8).
We believe that the status quo should be maintained so that we can operate in the best interests of the party rather than the whims and caprices of individuals, especially at this critical juncture when competence is required to explain government programs, policies, and pro-poor interventions to the discerning Ghanaians.
The team would like to reassure the media that the defective communication that they witnessed in our absence due to alleged mixed-shift recruitment that debased their programs would come to an end.
By issuing this statement, we urge our respected media outlets to accept and invite our core communication team members whose names were captured in our previous petition to the national Communication Directorate.
