David Agorogo

The Bolgatanga Central Communication Officer made the pronouncement during an engagement on Apexnews Ghana’s flagship development programme dubbed “SPEAKOUT UPPER EAST REGION” with Ngamegbulam Chidozie Stephen on Monday, October 24, 2022.

According to Mr. Agorogo, the NPP was never ready to construct an airport for the Upper East.
“If is politics without development, then is meaningless. There is a need for us to do our politics for development reasons” He stated

He said, even though there has been some ongoing comparison between the two main political parties in the region in terms of development, Mr. Agorogo said, “we will always admit that NDC is ahead of NPP when it comes to making provision for development in the Upper East Region”.

He further revealed that, Under the NDC led by Prof. Mills and John Dramani Mahama, a sod was cut at Sumbrungu for the construction of the airport, and work done was about 25 percent completed and governance is also all about continuation and if any government starts a project and could not complete it and a new government comes in, there is need for the new government to continue it from there.

He believes the NPP as a political party was trying to play smart on the people of the region by trying to incite the people of Navrongo and the BONABOTO zone together.
However, Mr. Agorogo was very confident in mentioning that, NDC has given to the people of Upper East Region more than any other political party in the region, he mentioned brand new secondary schools, inner city road asphalted, and regional hospital insisting that they came in with the project.
