The Bolgatanga East District Chief Executive (DCE) Mr. David Akologo Amoah has hinted the possibility of his district being a hub for smock materials and weaving come 2023. Apexnewsgh.com report
The DCE noted that the District has a lot of economic potential.
According to Mr. Amoah, smock weaving and smock sawing are all over the place. “So, we think if we are able to put up a small market for the smock activities”.
In an exclusive interview with Ngamegbulam Chidozie Stephen of Apexnewsgh.com, the DCE revealed that a budget has been put together to see if they can construct a market next year 2023 for smock activities.
He believes the move will enable people to know that Bolga East is a one-stop shop for smock material and smock weaving.
Meanwhile, outlining some of the District challenges, the DCE mentioned modern market and lorry stations as one of the economic activities that could easily push them to a higher level. This he said, the Assembly and the traditional authorities are working hard to achieve.
That’s reason why at the community’s last Adaakwaya, the Zuarungu Chief launched a campaign for an appeal for fund for the construction of a lorry station. He stressed
