The leader of Narrative Changers, a pressure group in the Upper East Region, Solomon Gbenga, has noted that the youth of the Upper East Region are not angry for development.

The leader of the pressure group made the revelation during an interview with Ngamegbulam Chidozie Stephen on Apexnewsgh flagship programme “SPEAKOUT OUT UPPER EAST” on Friday, April 21, 2023.

He was responding to the attitude of Members of Parliaments (MPs) from the region who have not shown any seriousness as far as contributing to the regional dialysis project is concerned.
“The youth are not angry enough for the development of the region, they have buried themselves in political colours.

Sickness does not discriminate. The people of the region are dying at a high rate of kidney problems in our various constituencies, people move to Tamale for them to even change their blood either weekly or monthly at a very high cost. Everybody is talking about it, everybody wants to get the dialysis project done. But the youth groups that are supposed to come out and talk about it are mute”.

“And the politician is aware that these people don’t even know what they want and that is why about 15 of those politicians will not even alter a word on that critical issue. They don’t care, and they are the same youth carrying them around all the constituencies to campaign. Campaign for what?
And then, the moment you want to bring these people together, the politician will not want to see us united, they always want to see us disunited”. He stressed

Mr. Gbenga, pointed out that youth in the region must be angry for development such as Dialysis Center, Passport office, airport project, and more.
