Nabdam Constituency Receives Donation from Dr. Vida Nyagre Yakong

In a show of unwavering support for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr. Vida Nyagre Yakong, a multifaceted leader and Dean of the UDS School of Nursing and Midwifery, donated 500 branded T-shirts featuring Excellency John Dramani Mahama and Dr. Mark Kurt Nawaane to the Nabdam Constituency on November 20, 2024. This generous gesture fulfilled a pledge she made during a fundraising dinner with H.E. John Dramani Mahama at Akayet Hotel in Bolgatanga.

Accompanied by Hon. Saani Kahuna, a member of the Upper East Research Committee, and Madam Vida Bengre, Coordinator for the Upper East Pro-Forum Nurses and Midwives, Dr. Yakong handed over the T-shirts to the constituency’s top brass, including Chairman, Organizer, Women Organizer, and former MP Hon. Moses Asaga.

Hon. Moses Asaga expressed gratitude and confidently declared, “We are retaining the seat for the party.” Dr. Mark Kurt Nawaane, the NDC’s 2024 Parliamentary Candidate for Nabdam Constituency, also thanked Dr. Yakong for her steadfast support and numerous contributions to the constituency.

The incumbent Nabdam MP who doubles as the Parliamentry Candidate Dr. Nawaane extended his gratitude to Dr. Yakong for the kind gesture, as he praised the unity displayed during the campaign and vowed to work tirelessly to retain the seat and increase the party’s vote percentage.

The constituency chairman, on behalf of the executives, thanked Dr. Yakong and prayed for victory for H.E. John Dramani Mahama and Dr. Nawaane.

As campaign team leader, Dr. Yakong met with sectional team members to review strategies and provided Ghc1,000 to support their fuel costs.

Dr. Yakong’s leadership roles extend to the Research Committee for Upper East Region NDC, PRO-Forum Northern Region, TEIN UDS Tamale Campus, Prof-Forum National Campaign Team, and Pro-Forum Young Professionals.

Her dedication to the NDC’s success is evident in her actions, inspiring confidence in the party’s prospects for the 2024 elections.
