Apexnewsgh

The Ikeja Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Court has postponed its judgment until January 26th in the case of Lagos bishop Oluwafeyiropo Daniel, who is accused of raping his assistant pastor and another person.

The bishop is also facing charges of attempted rape of another alleged survivor. Daniel pleaded not guilty to the four-count charge of rape, sexual assault, and attempted rape.

Both the defense counsel and the state counsel presented their final written statements, with the defense counsel arguing for the defendant’s release, citing malice and financial gains on the part of the alleged survivors.

The state counsel, however, argued for the defendant’s conviction, stating that there was evidence of struggle and that the contradictions in the evidence were immaterial.
