A few days after Dr. Bawumia’s encounter at the TESCON Conference 2022 which was organized in collaboration with the Danquah Institute at the Pentecost Conference Centre at the Millennium City in Kasoa in the Central Region, the Russian government has said disassociated itself from the pronouncement made by Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia during his lecture.

Dr. Bawumia on April 7, blamed the high cost of commodity prices on the Ukraine-Russian war. Dr. Bawumia said: “The increase in commodity prices has been exacerbated by the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Russia and Ukraine together account for 30 percent of the global wheat export. The longer the conflict the greater will be the disruptions to the global food supply. The conflict is also likely to slow global growth”.
