Veteran Ghanaian actor Samuel Karikari Seth K-Okyere, widely known as Koo Fori from the popular television series “Efiewura”, has been apprehended by the Accra Central Police Command for allegedly defrauding a US-based Ghanaian of $50,000.
Reports indicate that the veteran actor is accused of receiving a substantial sum from a Ghanaian resident in California, all under the pretense of facilitating the purchase of a parcel of land in Ghana. However, after receiving the funds, Koo Fori allegedly reneged on his agreement and subsequently went into hiding.
What began as a seemingly legitimate investment has swiftly escalated into a legal issue, prompting the victim to report the matter to the authorities after failing to reach the actor multiple times.
Compounding the situation, sources reveal that Koo Fori had missed several court appearances at the Dansoman Circuit Court, resulting in a bench warrant being issued for his arrest. His recent apprehension is viewed as a necessary step to ensure he faces justice and addresses the serious charges against him.
