The Superintendent Minister of the Ebenezer Methodist Church, Very Rev. Simon Oteng Amponsah has reminded churchgoers and persons who profess to be serving God to show that through their lifestyle and action rather than words and outward appearance.
He observed people have been going to church and making disciples for so long and it is time they manifest deeds of godly devotion.
Speaking to Apexnewsgh.com on the sidelines of a special service known as Covenant Service in Bolgatanga, Very Rev. Oteng Amponsah urged Christians to use the years 2022 to show a renewed spirit in order to merit God’s favor.
A number of Churches in the Christian Community throughout the World used New Year Day to hold a special service known as Covenant Service.
It is held on the first Sunday of every year to symbolize the Covenant signed between God and Abraham and used by the Christians to take stock of their spiritual and physical performances in the past and renew it.
Meanwhile, at the Bolgatanga Ebenezer Methodist Church, all the organizations including the Choir used the occasion to put on their ceremonial robes while the other congregants, as well as the ministers, wore white cassocks.
