The Methodist Church Ghana has distanced the church from the recent political pronouncement voiced by the Bishop of the Obuasi Dioceses in the Ashanti Region, Rt Rev. Stephen Richard Bosomtwe-Ayensu.

Over the weekend, Rt Rev. Bosomtwe-Ayensu took former president John Dramani Mahama on for claiming he would repeal the controversial Electronic Levy if given the opportunity in the 2024 general elections.
