In the Upper East Region, four (4) new faces have emerged as parliamentary candidates elect for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in their respective constituencies.

In the Chiana/ Paga constituency, Mr. Alamzy Billa snatched the seat from the incumbent Mr. Thomas Addah Dalu.

In Garu, Dr. Winsum Anaba, the former Medical Director for the Greater Accra Regional Hospital, who was sacked by the NPP shortly after they assumed office snatched the seat from the incumbent Albert Alaazuga Akuka with no mercy.

Navrongo also brought a new face in the person of Simon Aworigo Akibangethe man who returned from the United Kingdom as the NDC- UK Ireland Chapter secretary to claim a Parliamentary seat he believes belongs to him. He beat the incumbent Member of Parliament for the Navrongo Central Constituency Sampson Tangombu Chiragia and emerge victorious.

 Meanwhile, in the Bongo Constituency, Lawyer Charles Bawadua beat the incumbent Bongo MP Edward Bawa slightly to claim the overwhelming victory
