The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has officially received a communication from its presidential candidate, Mr. John Dramani Mahama, regarding the nomination of his running mate in accordance with Article 45 of the NDC Constitution.
In response to this, the party has announced that a meeting of the Council of Elders will be held on Thursday, 7 March 2024, to discuss this important matter.
Following the Council of Elders meeting, the National Executive Committee will convene to further consider the nomination on the same day. The party stated in a statement signed by General Secretary Fifi Kwetey that logistical details for these meetings will be communicated directly to all participants in the near future.
The NDC expressed confidence that the chosen running mate will bring experience, expertise, and dedication to their campaign. The statement further emphasized the party’s commitment to working towards positive transformation and progress for Ghana, echoing their leader’s vision of “Building the Ghana We Want together.”
The NDC also expressed gratitude to their supporters for their loyalty and commitment, calling for unity as they embark on a journey towards a brighter future for the nation.
