Alhaji Abdallah Otito, the New Patriotic Party’s parliamentary candidate for Navrongo Central Constituency in the Upper East Region, is confident about his prospects in the upcoming December 7 election. Apexnewsgh reports
His confidence stems from the various initiatives and projects he has spearheaded in the constituency, all aimed at making a positive impact on the lives of the people.
One of Alhaji Otito’s notable initiatives was providing meals to 2,500 BECE candidates and invigilators during the exam period, a first in the constituency’s history. Recognizing the importance of nourishment for the young exam-takers, he ensured that they were well-fed throughout the examination period, a move that garnered appreciation from the children’s parents.
In addition, when a rainstorm damaged several schools in the area, Alhaji Otito took it upon himself to reroof and even about to repaint four of these schools, a move to restore them to their former glory. This act of swift and effective assistance earned him the gratitude of the affected communities, further solidifying his standing among the people.
Moreover, Alhaji Otito addressed the critical issue of electricity supply for the Ghana Education Service (GES) in Navrongo. When the service was unable to function due to a prolonged power cut and mounting electricity bills, he stepped in and paid off the outstanding GHC 24,000 bill, ensuring that the service could resume its operations promptly. This act of support for the education sector resonated deeply with the local teachers and community members.
Beyond these impactful interventions, Alhaji Otito has also conducted skills training for women and is organizing to provide them with financial assistance through loans. He has prioritized the health of the community by conducting health screenings and has supported farmers by providing them with fertilizers. Additionally, he has aided seamstresses by donating sewing machines to bolster their businesses.
Alhaji Otito’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of his constituency is evident through these diverse efforts, demonstrating his genuine care and concern for the people he aims to represent. With his proven track record of proactive and meaningful initiatives, he is optimistic that the community will endorse him on December 7.
