How can we can we break the 8?– Chairman Wontumi

The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Bernard Antwi Boasiako popularly Known as Chairman Wontumi has questioned members how winning 2024 election is possible for NPP without members securing their Ghana Card. Speaking at the NPP Ashanti Regional Branch of the Tertiary Student Confederacy (TESCON) three days camp meeting by members of all the 58 tertiary institutions in Kumasi, Chairman Wontumi said “You are always saying break the 8 but you don’t have a Ghana Card. How can we win the election in 2024 while you still don’t have a Ghana card? If you are a TESCON member and you don’t have a Ghana Card it means you are not ready for power. Winning election 2024 is a process which starts with securing a Ghana card followed by other actions through the years ahead before the final action on the Election Day’’ he said According to the controversial Chairman, ”breaking the 8 agenda requires extra tactical and hardworking mentality by all members and various professional groups within the party to achieve the party’s agenda for election 2024. Breaking the 8 is not just by mouth but action’’ he said. He further, tasked all TESCON members in the country to secure a copy of the Ghana card which is one of the election-winning tools for the party. Invite Nana Agradaa over Owusu Bempah’s case – Wontumi to Ghana Police

• Ghana Police on Sunday arrested Rev Owusu Bempah and 3 others for storming the residence of converted fetish priestess, Nana Agradaa • Chairman Wontumi has asked the police service to also invite Agradaa for questioning • He also suggested that investigations are launched into the matter Ashanti Regional Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, has opined that the Ghana Police Service needs to also invite Nana Agradaa for questioning following the arrest of Reverend Owusu Bempah. In his view, Agradaa needs to be implicated in this case and the Ghana Police Service needs to launch an investigation into the matter to ensure that such situations do not repeat itself. According to him, the “Ghana Police has a lot of work to do so that what happened will not replicate itself. We all know that Reverend Owusu Bempah’s friend is Agradaa. Most times, the hatred one has for the fellow supersedes the love they both shared. We all saw on social media that they both spoke and insulted each other” “I think with what transpired, the Ghana Police has to invite Agradaa. They have to implicate them and investigate so that it does not happen again,” he said on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Wednesday, September 15, 2021. “It’s not only pulling a gun that is murderous, saying something to someone can also lead to the death of the person is also a crime,” he stated. It would be recalled that the founder of Glorious Word Power Ministries International, Reverend Owusu Bempah, stormed the house of Nana Agradaa after she challenged him to a fight. In a video gone viral on social media, some bodyguards and junior pastors of Owusu Bempah brandished guns and dared Agradaa to come out and face them squarely. The police stormed the church premises of Owusu Bempah to arrest him and his boys on Sunday but it turned out that some police personnel were assaulted. According to the police statement, the injured police personnel have since received medical treatment. On Wednesday, September 15, the man of God was granted bail of GH¢200,000 with two sureties. He was charged with offensive conduct conducive to the breach of peace and threat of death. —ghanaweb Please contact Apexnewsgh.com on email apexnewsgh@gmail.com for your credible news publications. NDC used propaganda during the campaign and peddled several falsehoods but the Supreme Court has exposed them.”  According to him, it is an indication that lies do not win in any sphere of life. Chairman Wontumi who was speaking on Accra-based Original FM said the NDC peddled falsehood during the election and did not focus on working to win at the polling stations.
