People who cannot afford food for families call me for assistance—Edward Bawa

The Member of Parliament for Bongo Constituency Edward Bawa has lamented, that the current hardship under the watch of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has rendered hard workers useless to the extent, that they can no longer afford food for their families. Apexnewsgh.com report “We are in very serious times, we seem to be making jokes out of the problem that we have and until you lead individuals, you will not know how serious it is. Throughout my life I have known people who never in their life call me Eddy.. charlly it is hot today ooo, if you have this amount give it to me because I can’t make it and these are people throughout my existence and throughout the period I have known them, they have never asked me for a favor because they are capable of taking care of themselves and their families but now, these same people simply cannot make put food on the table. Not because they are lazy, not because they have refused to work harder, but just because the system will not reward them for the hard work they put in. that is exactly where we found ourselves in. We have people who could afford three meals a day and now even one meal they have to negotiate with their family, there are people whose jobs have messed up and they have no job to do”. Adding to his earlier observation, the MP Said: “I know a number of people in Accra who have decided to park their cars because they cannot buy fuel and not because they are playing politics” he pointed He was speaking at a TEIN induction programme organized  by the youth wing of the party at the Bolgatanga Technical University (BTU) which was covered by Apexnewsgh.com. I have not on any occasion called on any regional executive or lobby for any appointment–Peter Ayinbisa

The former Bongo District Chief Executive (DCE) Peter Ayinbisa has disassociated himself from the information gaining momentum on social media which says, he is going around lobbying for the position of a Regional Communication Director for the governing New Patriotic Party in the region. Speaking in an exclusive interview with Ngamegbulam Chidozie Stephen of Apexnewsgh.com on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, the former DCE said: “i have not by any such of any imagination, I have not on any occasion called on any regional executive that has just been elected to lobby for an appointment and I have not asked anyone to do lobbying on my behalf and I have not been told that, people have lobbied for me and I have been given the opportunity to serve as the regional communication position”. The former DCE in the recent just regional party elections contested the Organizer’s position, even though he couldn’t win, he made remarkable progress by losing to his opponent with just 27 votes after making his intention known a month before the election. “What I do know is that, I wanted to be a member of the team as the organizer for the region. The good delegates of our region, have good reason to think that it should not be me at this material moment. So, I accept the verdict by the delegates. But of course, the delegates did a good job, this is the first time I have come on board and I used one month for the campaign, some other people used more than two years, after the 2018 elections, they went back to the drawing board and started campaigning. They sponsored and followed the constituency elections. I did not, because I declared my intention shortly after the constituency election. So, i would have loved to be part of the team as the Organizer”. “So, when I lost, I took it easy because I believed in the delegate’s ability to decide who should be the organizer. So, I have not told anybody that I want to be the Regional Communication Director for that matter so they should give it to me. Am surprised, reading yesterday’s comment by some people who have come to say that, why should I bring myself that low? That i am struggling to become the regional communication director am surprised. But am aware that, the regional executive met 2 days ago and one of the reasons they met was to deliberate on the appointments. “I have not heard and not been briefed on any information from the meeting but I was surprised to hear and read from people that my name was mentioned at that meeting”. “So, I believe that those who have written those things extensively on social media were not in the meeting. UER: Bolgatanga-Bongo Road Developing Potholes After 2years Of Construction

Bolgatanga-Bongo road which was started with what construction engineers normally described as ‘reshaping’ by the NDC Mills-Mahama administration between 2009/2010 and later completed by Akufo-Addo-Bawumia New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration in 2019 has started deteriorating with dangerous potholes. The road was constructed by Myturn Company Limited. The current state of the road looks to us like a timing bomb gradually waiting to explode. Meanwhile, if nothing urgent is done by way of maintaining the road by authorities responsible it might cause serious harm to innocent road users. Sadly, these potholes were seen positioned in the middle of the tarred road. The developing potholes were identified by Apexnewsgh.com during their visit to the Bongo district on Saturday, July 23, 2021. BONGO: A must read campaign message from Peter Ayinbisa as he files nomination form

Before the filling of his nomination form on Friday, Peter Ayinbisa participated in a public forum organized by A1 radio a Bolgatanga based radio station. The initiative dubbed ‘PEOPLE’S FORUM’ a programme designed to engage constituents together with their aspiring parliamentary candidates as a way of letting those aspiring to know issues affecting the people in case they were given the opportunity serve them in parliament . The Programme was fully monitored by Apexnewsgh.com, where the parliamentary candidates for PPP, GUM and NPP fully participated, but unfortunately, the candidate of the opposition NDC who equally given an invitation such as other candidates, told our source that he will not be part of the programme because he will be moving back to Accra as parliament has resumed. But unfortunately, just a minute after the engagement with the other parliamentary candidates, the NDC candidate Edward Bawa was seen near the Bongo Rural bank with some of his supporters, just fews steps to the lorry park where the PEOPLE’S FORUM event took place. However, his absence could not prevent the PEOPLE’S FORUM which ended very successful and interesting with massive participation of citizens of Bongo. Meanwhile, Ayinbisa visited the paramount Chief of the Bongo Traditional area Bon Naaba Salifu Atamale Lemyarum to officially informed him about his readiness to proceed with the filling process to the Electoral Commission(EC) “From now onwards, we are going to intensify our campaigns, we are not going to relent, we are not going to relax, we will continue to campaign, move from village to village, community to community, area to area and house to house until we are declared winners of the Bongo Constituency elections. From here as you can see, we are entering the Zorko community particularly Kadare where we are going to continue explaining government policies and telling them they need to maintain Nana Akufo Addo giving him 4 more years to continue his good works and giving me to the opportunity to serve the people of Bongo as their Member of Parliament. The Bongo people obviously will love to retain Nana Addo for the coming elections. What we are telling the electorate to do now, is to change the direction of the parliamentary votes, because since 1992, has controlled and enjoyed this constituency as they continue to get the majority votes to represent them. But since 1992, we have had various people representing us such as Gaaga, Albert Abongo, Alangre now to Edward Bawa. All of them have contributed to some level of development in the constituency, they have done their part, and they are no more interested in the elections but now, it is my senior brother Bawa who is in the race. What am telling the electorate is that, they should put us together; they should look at our records, look at the NDCs record and look at the NPPs record. They should look at the NPPs records in their first 4 years in government and look at the NDCs records their first 4 years in government, compare the record sector by sector. Let’s look at Education, what do they do? Let’s look at health what do they do, let’s look at good governance, what do they do, let’s look at agriculture, what do they do? So when we compare the two parties, what we have done for the people of Bongo, then, people of Bongo will be in a better position to judge which party should retain power and which parliamentary candidate should be elected. By the time this assessment is done, nobody will choose any other political party than the New Patriotic Party (NPP).” However, the District Chief Executive who doubles as the parliamentary candidate for the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Bongo District, used the opportunity to admonish officials of the Electoral Commission (EC) to do their works without taking sides, because according to him, the constitution of the Republic of Ghana does not allow EC officials to participate in active politics. “Avoid posting partisan thing on social media, it is not allowed.” He added Apexnewsgh.com/Ghana Please kindly contact Apexnewsgh.com on Email: apexnewsgh@gmail.com for your credible news publications.
