Delete any motivation or inspiration of joining politics to amass wealth for yourself—BTU TEIN President to Youth

Akoogo Solomon Apeawin the TEIN President at the Bolgatanga Technical University (BTU) has advised colleagues inducted Tertiary Education Institutions Network of NDC (TEIN) Bolgatanga Technical University (BTU) to delete any motivation or inspiration of joining politics to amass wealth to themselves but to be of public good, service and useful to society. Mr. Solomon Apeawin gave the free advice when addressing the congregation during the occasion of welcoming new students of Bolgatanga Technical University (BTU) into the intellectual wing of the party. “Dear young man/woman, let your motivation or inspiration to join politics not be to amass wealth to self but to be of public good, service, and use to society. We’ve all got just one Ghana and if we don’t build it with good values, and the right moral principles of nationhood, we shall all be called FAILURES in time to come”. He said. Adding his voice to the current state of the nation under the leadership of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, The BTU TEIN President believes that: “Indeed there is a VAST difference between a POLITICIAN and a LEADER. In the past decade alone I am sure you have seen the ‘differentials’ if asked, between the NDC and the NPP. His Excellency the incoming President, John Dramani Mahama deserves to be canonized as a LEADER and undoubtedly, the same CAN NOT BE said of President Nana Akufo-Addo who has woefully failed Ghanaians”. He said, if the youth of today wants plays politics of anything goes then, there is a need to change such a narrative for a better tomorrow for the country at large. Go back home and help in re-organizing the party–Ebenezer Ndebilla Alumire to BTU TEIN

Members of the Tertiary Education Institutional Network, (TEIN), and a youth wing of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has been tasked to go back home and help in re-organizing their various districts and constituency level. Apexnewsgh.com report Former NDC aspirant for the position of Member of Parliament at the Zebilla Constituency, Mr. Ebenezer Ndebilla Alumire gave the advice when speaking at a welcome ceremony for new members of TEIN in the Bolgatanga Technical University (BTU) on Saturday, August 20, 2022. Advising the freshers, Ndebilla Alumire: “As an intellectual wing of the party, what we need to do is to go back home and help in re-organizing the party because that is very key”. “In fact, as a student myself in 2008 at KNUST, I became an agent in the first round of the election and that was where I realized that having educated ones serving as agents at the polling stations helps a lot”. He recounts He narrated how they were able to protect about 280 people from not voting. He said that is a clear signal that if the party does not support members to do the right thing, the party will always do the right thing and get the wrong result. Meanwhile, advising those in leadership, the former aspirant appealed to the party leadership and those elected in positions not to turn their back on the members in times of need. “And again, as we are leaving here, I want to also urge our leaders which am also aspiring to be one that, we should not forget our students, let’s us not forget about them. At this particular moment, this is a time we need them and we come to them, this is time we are putting a lot of pressure on them to do A, do B, and do C then when we get power sometimes, some of us turned our back on them. So, I want to now say let us remember our students when we get power, let us pick up their calls when they call us, and let us attend to their school fees needs if it is possible. So, my plea to you is to work very hard as the party comes to power come 2024 you will be rewarded bountifully”. NDC will not ask you to bring English and Mathematics for recruitment anymore, NPP has shown us the way–NDC MP

Mr. Abed-Nego Bandim Member of Parliament (MP) for Bunkpurugu Constituency of the North East Region has assured party youth that the Opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) will not ask them to bring English and Mathematics before offering them job opportunities in any of the security agencies. “l am saying that, when we come back to power, we will not also ask you to come with English and mathematics, that is false. If the NPP can recruit people from the circle who repair mobile phones, we can recruit our TEIN members to wear uniforms as well”. stressed The Bunkpurugu Member of Parliament made the pronouncement on Saturday, August 20, 2022, when addressing fresher students of Bolgatanga Technical University (BTU) and party youth at the occasion of TEIN induction. Mr. Abed-Nego said, when the NDC comes to power in 2025, they will not forget about the youth. Because they are not in normal times. He added: “The NPP has shown us the way”. Referencing his experience of what happened during the Ayawaso Wuogon by-election, he stressed: “It is time to look for our own. When they molested us in Ayawaaso during the bye-election, and they killed our youth in the general election in Techiman South, I said to myself, these people wearing Police and Army uniforms and shooting our people were not people with English and Mathematics, they were just ordinary Ghanaians NPP foot soldiers. So why can’t we do so to our people? l am saying that, when we come back to power, we will not also ask you to come with English and mathematics, that is false. If the NPP can recruit people from the circle who repair mobile phones, we can recruit our TEIN members to wear uniforms as well”.
