UER: NDC Regional Women’s Wing Donates Soft Drinks to Support Ongoing Registration Exercise

The Upper East Regional Women Wing of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), led by Madam Fawzia Abagnamah Yakubu, has made a significant contribution to support the 2024 Electoral Commission (EC) registration exercise. Apexnewsgh reports The women’s wing has donated 300 cartons of soft drinks to all 15 constituencies in the region to aid party members during the registration process. According to Madam Fawzia, the Upper East Women’s Organizer, the soft drinks were distributed to the various constituencies through the constituency Women’s Organizers. This gesture is aimed at supporting party members who are working tirelessly to ensure a successful registration exercise. The current economic hardship is a case point that requires the immediate attention of the said Ministry. It’s therefore very key, the president should be given the Ministry not just attention, but quickly enable it economically to be able to help its target audience: LEAP should be increased. Widows and orphans should be prioritized with additional social interventions like food/staples handouts. The school feeding should be immediately increased regards per head and nutrition should be key. Metro mass transport should give fare rebates, not free rides to women of 70 yrs and above as well as girls of 16 yrs and below with priority to students who have ID cards. MDAs should ensure PLWDA – People Living With Disabilities funds are disbursed in time and if possible increase it.
