George Opare Addo, the National Youth Organizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), is making waves with his recent comments directed at the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP). Apexnewsgh reports In a bold move, he questioned how many children of NPP members are enrolled in the Free Senior High School (FSHS) program, which is one of the flagship policies of the NPP. Opare Addo’s skepticism is rooted in the NPP’s track record of unfulfilled promises, particularly their pledges of One Million Dollars per constituency and One District One Factory. He emphasized the lack of tangible results from these promises, highlighting the contrast with the NDC’s approach to setting realistic and achievable goals under the leadership of John Dramani Mahama. Speaking passionately to nursing students, Opare Addo stressed the importance of their role as influential opinion leaders in their communities. He urged them to initiate positive change and emphasized the power of their voices in shaping the future of Ghana. As the NDC gears up for the December 7th general elections, Opare Addo’s message resonates strongly with the party’s focus on accessible education and responsible governance, setting the stage for a compelling campaign centered on education and economic development. NDC Youth Organizer Exposes NPP’s Media Manipulation Amidst Government Scandals
In a scathing address at the launch of the Party Youth Manifesto, Lawyer Opare Addo, National Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), accused the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) of bribing the media to conceal their incompetence and corruption. Apexnewsgh reports According to Addo, the government is pumping millions of cedis into the media to create a distorted reality, downplaying the hardships faced by Ghanaians. He cited examples of the government’s extravagance, including the President’s use of a private jet at $17,000 an hour, while citizens struggle with basic needs like healthcare and employment. Addo highlighted the stark contrast between the government’s priorities and the people’s concerns. He mentioned the scandalous importation of condoms worth 3.9 million cedis, the disappearance of 12 million cedis worth of fertilizer, and the appointment of friends and family to high positions, despite the country’s economic struggles. The NDC Youth Organizer condemned the government’s response to criticisms, including a 400% increase in salaries and allowances for the Ghana gas cylinder manufacturing company, and a $40 million expenditure on tourism capacity building. He emphasized that the NPP’s actions demonstrate a callous disregard for the welfare of Ghanaians, particularly the youth. “The President responds by hiring a private jet at $17,000 an hour. When we tell them, young people struggle with our jobs, they answer you by appointing your friends and family into high places. We cry about increasing food prices every day, they answer by blowing 3.9 million on the importation and buy of condoms. We complain that times are hard and there is no food on the market. We wake up to a scandal of 12 million worth of fertilizer vanishing. We complain about higher rents, and they respond by installing elected conditions in a two-bedroom house. And as if that is not enough, the owner of the two-bedroom house is appointed board chairman, just to tell you that they don’t care about you. We criticize them. We criticize them for price increases, and they increase the salaries and Allowances of the Ghana gas cylinder manufacturing company by a whopping 400% this is what the ekufado Mahmud is giving to all of us when we cry more. They top it up by playing $40 million on capacity building for tourism. Young people cry for daily bread, and they give us daily scandals”. UER: NDC Youth Organizer accuses EC/NPP of plans to rig election 2024 with indelible ink
During the inauguration ceremony of the Upper East Regional Youth Working Committee in Bogatanga, Abraham Azumah Lambon, the Upper East Regional Youth Organizer, voiced his concern that the Electoral Commission (EC) is planning to manipulate the upcoming 2024 election in favor of the NPP party. Mr. Lambon accused the EC of collaborating with the NPP and emphasized the need to address these potential rigging tactics. “For the first time in the history of Ghana, the Electoral Commission is to conduct the district level elections without indelible ink being applied on the fingers of voters. The polling station staff have also been reduced from 5 to 3 among other machinations”. The NDC Youth Wing makes it clear to the EC and NPP government that if they proceed with reducing the number of polling station staff and removing the use of indelible ink, there will be no district level elections in the Upper East Region. The NDC Youth Wing asserts that they will strongly oppose these changes and warns that the EC will be held accountable for any negative consequences or violence that may occur in the region. They emphasize the importance of increasing efforts for the upcoming 2020 elections in order to secure a significant victory in 2024. The Inauguration, approved by the National Youth Organizer and other influential figures within the party, aimed to provide the youth with essential knowledge in different areas prior to the 2024 general election. Meanwhile, Lawyer Apanga Lamtiig, former Nabdam Parliamentary candidate, was appointed as the chairperson of the Upper East Youth working committee. “Dr. Bawumia is a bad news”—NDC National Youth Organizer
The National Youth Organizer of the Opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) George Opare Addo has described the Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as bad news for the people of Upper East and Ghanaians people. Lawyer Opare Addo made the pronouncement during his engagement with the media at the Inauguration ceremony of the Upper East Regional Youth Working Committee in Bolgatanga on Thursday December 14, 2023. “I believe the people from our strongholds are discerning enough to know that Dr. Bawumia is bad news for them. In my language, we have a saying that the one that will give you something, he shows signs of giving you when he has something big. When Bawumia was made Vice President, what has been his contributions to the economy of his country? What has been his significant contribution? What has he done to turn the face of this economy? What has he done for Ghanaians? What has he done for the people of the northern region, including the Upper West and Upper East regions? Clearly nothing. And I can tell you that if you are looking for a leader who you can trust, and a leader you should be bold enough to say that this is the man who will make the difference, is John Dramani Mahama. I think Bawumia has brought a lot more disgrace to the office of the Vice President and any other vice president”. Speaking about the education sector, the national Youth Organizer, pointed the scholarship opportunities in the country are currently limited to only people within the NPP. “Education has been brought to its knees. I understand creative students are being urged to go to school for one month. Clearly this is not a social contract. Unemployment is at its worst. The rate of unemployment is the highest ever since”. He maintained “The first-time young people who have work, save money and even gone ahead to procure government bonds, which is the safest way of investing your money, and now they are being told they cannot get access to those bonds”. “So, there is a lot of despair for young people. And that is clearly what this government has stood on all of us. It is a hopeless situation, totally hopeless. And so, for young people in this country, we’ve lost hope”. “We’ve lost all hope in this government. We know that the only way we can save this country is by changing the government”. “Not too long ago, the president himself passed a vote of no confidence in himself by telling us that the problems that he’s faced as president, he cannot solve it and that we should wait for a new leader to come and solve it for us. What it means is that, if you’re a young person, the man is telling us that he and his administration have no solutions to your problems at this time, but we all agree that they failed us, and we must move on and bring in a government that resonate and speak the language of the people. A government that cares for young people. The government that sets the necessary framework for young people to develop their talents, dream and achieve those dreams. Lawyer Opare Addo told the media. My land cruiser is a gift I received out of someone’s love for Mahama’ – Sammy Gyamfi
The National Communications Officer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi has hinted that he got his land cruiser vehicle as a gift. According to him, he has only one Land Cruiser which was given to him because of the love his benefactor has for former President John Mahama. His comments follow the allegations made by some critics, including George Opare Addo, the newly elected National Youth Organiser, that he has numerous vehicles, including six land cruisers and a house at Airport Hills. The critics asked him to disclose his source of wealth. Speaking on Accra-based Onua TV on Wednesday morning, he said, “they said I have six Land Cruisers but I have only one and even that one someone gave it to me out of the love he has for Mahama.” He, however, accepted the claims that he is wealthy and asked God to make it come to pass. “I’m not the owner of those houses trending on social media. But in fact, the houses I am going to build will be five times better than those.” It would be recalled that the newly re-elected National Youth Organizer of the NDC, George Opare Addo openly asked Sammy Gyamfi to explain his source of wealth. According to him, he considered the contest between he and Brogya Genfi as being against “that Airport Hills small boy” Sammy Gyamfi. However, the National Communication Officer has denied all the allegations. —Myjoyonline—

John Boadu not qualified for NDC’s branch post – Opare Addo
George Opare Addo National Youth Organizer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) opposes that the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) General Secretary John Boadu does not even merit to be called branch youth organizer in NDC. According to his argument, the set of executives in the NPP reflects the kind of shallow minds they have as a political party. The NDC National Organiser spoke on Accra-based Adom TV when he made this known in response to Prof Ameyaw Akumfi’s claims that the General Secretary for the NDC jokes too much to be considered for the Chairmanship of the NDC. George Opare Addo cited an example of a narrow-minded Chairman Wontumi who has been allowed to be Chairman for the party in its stronghold, the Ashanti Region indicating that he will not qualify to clean shoes in the NDC. “It’s unfortunate that Ameyaw Akumfi will say that because Ameyaw Akumfi belongs to a political party where in his region, he has Abronye as his Regional Chairman, he belongs to a party whose General Secretary is John Boadu. And I will tell you for free, in the NDC John Boadu is not fit to be a branch youth organizer but he’s the General Secretary of the NPP. Ameyaw Akumfi belongs to a party that has its stronghold’s Chairman as Wontumi. In the NDC Wontumi cannot even clean shoes. They have exhibited over the years that they are narrow-minded but these are leaders in the NPP. Who is the National Chairman of the NPP? What has been his record? Who is the General Secretary of the NPP, who is the Youth Organizer of the NPP? compare and look at Asiedu Nketia and his pedigree. I’m not saying I support him to come and run for National chairman or anything because he’s not said he will run for Chairman but truth be told, the pedigree of the people Ameyaw Akumfi worships as leaders in his party, it will be in his own interest to keep quiet,” he said. Background It could be remembered that a leading contender for the Chairmanship position in the NPP Ameyaw Akumfi in an interview on Accra-based Asempa FM asked that jokers are flushed out of Ghana’s politics. He was emphatic that Asiedu Nketia who is his compatriot jokes to much and cannot be trusted with the Chairmanship position for a party like the NDC. “Being a Chairman of a political party is a serious business and I will be serious than either the two of them. It is not in your place as a Chairman to be cracking jokes and glossing over facts just because in Ghana anything goes so you lie and think that will be accepted.” Asked specifically if Asiedu Nketia the current General Secretary for the National Democratic Congress was not a serious person to be considered for the Chairmanship position, Prof Akumfi said ” he is from my hometown, he jokes too much. For a party like that there should be some level of seriousness. Maybe because of my training in academia. In academia, you deal with facts and usually when you are a researcher you want to make sure that whatever you come up with can be backed by facts but here we have characters who sometimes make statements not backed by facts. I don’t back that as features of big-time party leaders”. Pictures of Kwabena Duffuor’s 2024 Campaign Team Pops Up And Causes Stir
Kwabena Duffuor is reportedly planning to contest for the flagbearer position of the NDC A picture of his supposed campaign team has been making rounds on social media. Yaw Boateng Gyan believes he is the right person to lead the NDC. Speculations continue to gather grounds that former Finance Minister Dr Kwabena Duffuor is lacing his boots to give John Dramani a stiff competition for the flagbearer slot of the National Democratic Congress for the 2024 elections. Barely 48 hours after Yaw Boateng Gyan of the NDC declared his support for Dr Kwabena Duffuor as the right candidate for the party, a picture has surfaced of the alleged campaign team of the business mogul. The picture features Yaw Boateng Gyan as Campaign Coordinator, his son Kwabena Duffuor Jnr as fundraising strategist and George Opare Addo as Youth Coordinator. The list also includes Kofi Kukubor as Director of Communications, Naval Captain (rtd) Kwadwo Adunkwa Butah as Security Coordinator, Antwi Bosiako as Director of Operations, Jones Yaw Antwi as Director of Research and Solomon Nkansah as Deputy Director of Communications. Kwabena Duffuor’s perceived intention to rival John Mahama for the presidential aspirant position was first disclosed by private legal practitioner Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko. “Former Finance Minister under Prof Mills, who is aspiring to be elected as the 2024 presidential candidate of the NDC is sending a message straight to his main contender and former Presidential Candidate John Mahama that 2024 may be a “do or die” affair for him, JM and his political life, but not for the majority of their party supporters and Ghana,” he said. On Wednesday, September 15, 2021, Yaw Boateng Gyan said that reports of Dr Duffour competing with Mahama is music to his ears. “I would be extremely happy if Dr. Duffour decides to contest as flagbearer of the NDC. I would support him wholeheartedly. If Dr. Duffour opens his mouth to declare his intent today, I would lead his campaign,” he told Okay FM.
