MD for Yeyenya Mining Group condemns attack on Judge few days after convicting influencers

The managing Director of Yeyenya Mining Group Hon. Charles T. Ndanbon has added his voice to the unfortunate drama that took place at the Bolgatanga High Court 2 on Friday, March 21, 2023, between the High Court Judge, Justice Alexander Graham and the two messengers of the Paramount Chief of the Talensi District who upon admitting on their own plea were convicted and later ended up signing a six-month bond of good behavior. Hon. Ndanbon, lauded the High Court Judge for his tremendous and exemplary action exhibited in the interest of the majority of the vulnerable people in the region who do not have such skills and capacity to influence judges against the innocent people of the region that are having good cases at the various courts. Hon. Ndanbon who seems not excited with such development, says, such action of influence has affected more innocent residents of the region and because of that, they fear going to court for justice even though their case is white as snow. He sighted the Chinese he individually brought into the country for a mining support service, always telling him to go to court. He believes that what is giving the Chinese man courage is because they believe they can easily influence judges through these kinds of elements in society. “Yenyeya Mining Enterprise has suffered a lot at the hands of these so-called “influential personalities” in the system, to the extent of forcing me to hand over my business to the Chinese and I stood firm by saying a big ‘NO’ because such cannot happen even in China”. He lamented However, he further extended his plea to the Chief Justice to bring Justice Alexander Graham back to the region and also ensure he is given enough security for his protection. Kindly read the full statement below:                                                           YEYENYA MINING GROUP                                                                  PRESS STATEMENT                                                                                                                                                               21/3/2023 Good day to you able men and women of the press. It is my pleasure to salute you for the wonderful work you are doing for the region and the country at large. Indeed, I see it necessary and important at this point to condemn the unfortunate drama the region witnessed at the Bolgatanga High Court 2 on Friday between a High Court Judge, Justice Alexander Graham and the two personalities who were later convicted on their own plea and later sign a 6months bond of good behavior. Truthfully, the Judge deserves an honor for his brave working skills which from what we saw and witnessed in the courtroom clearly shows his genuine love and care for the ordinary persons who cannot afford to send their servants to the judge’s chambers, homes or even somewhere outside the region in the name influencing Judges to always give a wrong verdict against innocent people of Upper East with genuine cases. The action exhibited by the Bolgatanga High court Judge has resurrected the lost hope of the people of Upper East Region who have gone through some level of margination by the so-called people with ‘influence’ Ladies and gentlemen, I decided to stay away from court for some time now, when a Chinese I brought into the country to render a mining support service started singing it to me like a song to go to court and the question I asked myself was, what is giving the Chinese man the confidence and later I realized, that what just happened on Friday between Justice Alexander Graham and the two that claimed they were sent by the Talensi Paramount Chief is the answer and the reason the Chinese man has lost respect for the people of Talensi District and Upper East at large. It is believed that they are confident of using this same channel to buy off any public official including the Judiciary with their indelible mentality “GHANA BIGMAN BIG ENVELOPE FINISH AM”. The action exhibited by Justice Graham, is the best thing that has happened to the people of the Upper East Region since the beginning of the year 2023 and this simply shows that there is something called “natural justice” that no matter how rich, how intelligent, how influential, I mean how popular you think you are, you cannot influence that “natural justice” Yenyeya Mining Enterprise has suffered a lot at the hands of these so-called “influential personalities” in the system, to the extent of forcing me to hand over my business to the Chinese and I stood firm by saying a big ‘NO’ because such cannot happen even in China. How can I hand over my business to those I personally brought into the country to render a mining support service to my business? I am not a fool, my name is Charles T. Ndanbon, I am a resident of Upper East Region and a citizen of Ghana and I am confident that with a brave and sincere Judge such as Justice Alexander Graham people like us without influence and strong connection will see a natural justice in our law court. Let me also join the good reasoning people of the Upper East Region who are very saddened by the unfortunate incident attack at the residence of Justice Alexander Graham on Wednesday night leading to

UER: I didn’t threaten Charles, he rather reported me to the party executive—Regional Minister

The Upper East Regional Minister Stephen Yakubu has denied an alleged threat issued against his party Regional Organizer Charles Taleog Ndanbon who also doubles as the Managing Director (MD) of a registered mining firm known as Yenyeya Mining Enterprise operating in Gbene a community in the Talensi District of the Upper East Region. The Regional Minister denied the alleged threat allegation during an engagement with Ngamegbulam Chidozie Stephen of Apexnewsgh.com on Friday, January 27, 2023. In some other engagement, the Managing Director of Yenyeya Mining Enterprise Hon. Charles T. Ndanbon has registered some amount of dissatisfaction over what he described as a threat from Minister Stephen Yakubu. According to him, The Minister had cautioned him not to set foot at his mining site again, adding that if he insisted, he will let police and military arrest him. A threat Hon. Ndanbon found it very ridiculous. Meanwhile, when this platform asked the Minister about the alleged threat, he responded by saying: “I didn’t threaten him, he reported me to the party because we have agreed, the company agreed to pay him some money and he said that am wasting his time for the company to pay him. And I told him, and I have communication with Charles, I can prove this. The company said they will pay him so so and so and am not holding the money in my pocket to be given to him, So is the company that is arranging to pay him and Charles was always on me about that. “In fact, they gave them 6 months to pay the money to them, because they agreed they were going to accept this offer that the company should pay them and the company [Earl International] said, they were going to pay them within 6 months. So within these 6months, Charles even took me to the regional party executive. When he took me there, we sat on the matter and I explained to them that, this is what we have done so far and the company is saying that they will pay within a certain time, so is not me that has gotten the money to give to Charles and am not given him. Of course, the company had earlier pay some monies, which they said they are not happy with and they went ahead and negotiated for more and that money is there. So, if he wants that money, he can come for it because as for that money, he knows that is his money. He can come for it and wait for the other one to be paid”. He further explained“After we talked about this, when we left, Charles got his lawyer and write to me saying he is giving me only one month to be able to get the company to pay him. I am just a facilitator, I am not the company, I am not mineral commission, I am just facilitating. I told him, this one month you have given me to do this, this is not what we agreed. So, we organized a meeting, that day his lawyer was there, he Charles was there, Mineral Commission were there for us to look at it. In this world we are, we have to be telling the truth. So, at this moment what will I do? I am not the company, I am just helping for my citizens in the region to get what they accepted The Regional Minister explained that, despite all his efforts, Hon. Ndanbon reported him across the country to some of the party big men “That was my conversation with Charles, and the next minute Charles went round and said he didn’t ask me to go and negotiate on his behalf. So, if you didn’t ask me to go and negotiate on his behalf, how is he then putting a lot of pressure on me? He went to Bugre Naabu, call Bugre Naabu and ask him, he went to Alhaji Sulemana Yirimea who is a member of the Council of State, he took me to a number of places as if it was me who is not allowing the company to pay him. The Regional Minister laments Hon. Charles Ndanbon has agreed to give his response soon More to come… For publication please kindly contact us on +233256336062 or Email apexnewsgh@gmail.com

UER: I have no right as an individual to take away anybody’s business or concession—Stephen Yakubu

The Upper East Regional Minister Stephen Yakubu has refuted claims that he has given concessions or killed businesses belonging to some indigenous people operating at the Gbane mining site in the Talensi District of the Upper East Region to the Chinese mining company Earl International.  Apexnewsgh.com report The Regional Minister was responding to Ngamegbulam Stephen of Apexnewsgh.com in an exclusive engagement on Friday, January 27, 2023, following accusations coming from some aggrieve mining actors and stakeholders in the region. The Regional Minister said, he has no right as an individual to take anybody’s concession, “do I work with Mineral Commission? Am I the company [Earl International]? The problem is that, this company they are talking about [Earl International], they had a license and this license was signed by then Minister in 2019 and my understanding is that, it has been ratified by parliament and if you go deep into the matter, you would see that people were not even happy that they have given the concession to them”. “We have a ministry that deals with that. So, it is not the Regional Minister that give that concession to Earl International and it happened in 2019, 2019 was I here? I wasn’t here”. He asked He further insisted “It wasn’t me who signed the large-scale mining, I wasn’t even here when the large-scale mining was signed. I came in when the small-scale miners were really agitating because in unblocking and giving the small-scale miner’s concession to large-scale mining the documentation is there”. The Minister pointed out that, when he came into the region, the miners have started negotiating with the company and they were a lot of issues and agitations “But, the issue was that, how the company is going to compensate them and I even came to meet it when they were negotiating and they were having a lot of problems there and the people were agitating at a time that whatever the company was giving to them, they were not happy with it. They met in Akayet, they met in Alisa Hotel, they met a lot and they were trying to find a common ground in which the company will be able to sort them out”. “Is the same small-scale miners who came to complain to me, that they are negotiating and they are not seeing their way forward. This same Charles, ask him the number of times he came to my house in the morning here to beg me to try and help so that the company compensates them. Call him and ask him whether he has been here to tell me about this or not. I have documentation that Charles himself has told me to help them. He insisted “Charles and the company were in court, ask him whether in court there, they didn’t even say that the regional minister was helping to broker the peace deal with them? And because of that, they were actually all the time having to extend the time so that we will be able to look at it. So, if we have looked at it and he is not happy about whatever offer the company is professing, can’t he just say Minister, am not happy about this arrangement, I want to go back to the company to negotiate by my own self, will I stop him doing that? He asked More to come soon… For publication please kindly contact us on +233256336062 or Email apexnewsgh@gmail.com

I have not recruited or hired Upper East Regional Minister to negotiate on my behalf— MD YENYEYA Mining Group

Hon. Charles Taleog Ndabon, the Managing Director of YENYEYA Mining Group, a Talensi-based indigenous mining company licensed in 2007 and registered under the Companies Act 1963 has revealed in a press statement sighted by Apexnewsgh.com that, he has not surrendered his mining license to Wei Xing, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of SHAANXI MINING LIMITED and now EARL INTERNATIONAL GROUP GHANA GOLD LIMITED, because he sees no reason or sense in performing such a ridiculous act as a businessman. The statement further reveals that personalities pretending to have been acting on his behalf by way of negotiation or signing of any document should desist from such act because, he has not recruited anyone to do so on his behalf “Let me also make it clear to the general public and mining stakeholders that, YENYEYA has not recruited or hired anyone and not even the Upper East Regional Minister Stephen Yakubu to negotiate any form of business or sign any form of agreement on my behalf together with Wei Xing, CEO of SHAANXI now so-called EARL INTERNATIONAL”. The state said Mr. Ndanbon strongly reaffirmed that he is determined and very committed to fighting for his right and will not allow any CEO of the Mineral Commission or any traditional ruler to conspire with the Chinese man Wei Xing CEO of SHAANXI now so-called EARL INTERNATIONAL to forcefully snatch away my business. Kindly read the full statement: PRESS STATEMENT Tuesday, January 17, 2023 Being silent is a great way to let people know they did something wrong and it will be unfortunate for people to take my silence over their crokard activities against me and my company as a weakness. The management of YENYEYA Mining Group, a Talensi-based indigenous mining company licensed in 2007 and registered under the Companies Act 1963, found it necessary to provide a few updates to all stakeholders in the mining sector in the Upper East Region and the general public interested in the matters arising. That, for the past 25 years now, mining has been my business, and i was already in the mining business before bringing Wei Xing Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of SHAANXI MINING LIMITED and now the so-called EARL INTERNATIONAL GROUP GHANA GOLD LIMITED from China in 2008 to come and render mining support service to my outfit YENYEYA. Important things to note: I want to state it clear to the general public and mining stakeholders that, YENYEYA together with Wei Xing, CEO of SHAANXI now the so-called EARL INTERNATIONAL had the earlier agreement in 2008 under the small scale. However, in 2017 when SHAANXI now the so-called EARL INTERNATIONAL wanted to expand to a large scale we together had another addendum and agreement which is still authentic. I want the general public to know that, YENYEYA has not surrendered his mining license to Wei Xing, the CEO of SHAANXI now so-called EARL INTERNATIONAL, because i see no reason or sense in performing such a ridiculous act. YENYEYA was not part of any small-scale miners association that has signed an agreement with Wei Xing, the CEO of SHAANXI now the so-called EARL INTERNATIONAL. Let me also make it clear to the general public and mining stakeholders that, YENYEYA has not recruited or hired anyone and not even the Upper East Regional Minister Stephen Yakubu to negotiate any form of business or sign any form of agreement on my behalf together with Wei Xing, CEO of SHAANXI now so-called EARL INTERNATIONAL. YENYEYA is very committed to fighting for his right and will not allow any CEO of the Mineral Commission or any traditional ruler to conspire with the Chinese man Wei Xing CEO of SHAANXI now so-called EARL INTERNATIONAL to forcefully snatch away my business.
