The disappointment witnessed by President at Katanga Agenda 111 is a blessing to us—NPP Communication

The Navrongo constituency Secretary of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Moses Amoah has described President Akufo-Addo’s visit to the Agenda 111 in Katanga a community in Zaurungu of the Bolgatanga East District in the Upper East Region as a blessing. As part of President Akufo-Addo’s itinerary for his one-day tour to the Upper East Region on the 5th of August, he visits Katanga a community in the Bolgatanga East District just after commissioning the Tono water expansion project in Navrongo. But sadly, it appears President Akufo-Addo’s mood automatically changed immediately after he arrived at the site scene and saw what looks like foundation-level work already done by the contractor in charge and he angrily went back straight to RCC residence. However, reacting to the issue on Apexnewsgh.com’s SPEAKOUT UPPER EAST REGION programme, Mr. Amoah said: “I can tell you that President’s movement to Bolga East was a blessing to us”. According to him, “President saw the lackadaisical attitude the contractor was exhibiting at the site, he saw it very clearly. This one is not about someone telling President that this contractor is not doing this or that, the President saw it with his eyes. And you saw that when the President got there, he wasn’t happy, he was angry and that is a positive response. When you have a President getting to a venue and probably leaves with anger, it tells you the person’s expectation”. “The President expected that by the time he got there, the project should have been at a different level but unfortunately, that wasn’t where he met it and that is even a blessing. Now that the President saw the project at that level when he goes back, he will streamline things”. UER: President Akufo-Addo left Agenda 111 site in Katanga because …..

The Upper East Regional Minister Stephen Yakubu has revealed, that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo wasn’t pleased with the level of work done by the contractor in charge of Agenda 111 in Katanga a community in the Bolgatanga East District of the Upper East Region. Apexnewsgh.com report   As part of President Akufo-Addo’s itinerary for his one-day tour to the Upper East Region, he was supposed to visit Katanga a community in the Bolgatanga East District just after commissioning the Tono water expansion project in Navrongo.    But sadly, it appears President Akufo-Addo’s mood automatically changed immediately after he arrived at the site scene and saw what looks like foundation-level work already done by the contractor in charge.   However, immediately, the already organized durbar to welcome the president was brought to a standstill and he immediately turned his car and left the scene.   The Chiefs, elders, and people of Bolgatanga East were not satisfied with the action they witnessed hence, it has become a talking point.   Meanwhile, when Apexnewsgh.com engaged the Upper East Regional Minister Stephen Yakubu in an exclusive interview, the Minister who was not excited with such drama witnessed at the site scene said: “The question is why are other contractors doing well and others are not doing well? According to Mr. Yakubu, “Is not the making of government, the party or the President, is the making of the contractor. The problem is not as if the government has not given mobilization to the contractors, it has been done. So is not a money matter”. He stressed   “So, we took the President there and he got there and saw what was there. So, he wasn’t very pleased that is it. Is not about location, because the location is usually decided at the base level with DCE and the DCE also didn’t do it alone, he did it in consultation with the chiefs and the elders. As you saw, the Chiefs were happy to come there to meet with the President”. He disregards the ‘location’ rumor    “If you look at the location, there are more people living around the site. That wasn’t an issue. The issue was the contractor not actually moving as fast as the President wanted him to and that was the reason why the president thought that he has seen it and things are not pretty good”.    We have about 8 of these Agenda 111 in this region and if you look at the other areas such as the Bawku areas, they are doing very well, it is just the BONABOTO area here that they are really not doing fantastic work and I have been on them. Regional Minister told Apexnewsgh.com   Below was the level of work captured by Apexnewsgh.com during our visit Katanga Agenda 111.
