Excerpt of late Latif Solomon Yenah NPP Youth Organizer’s Interview in 2020 (Audio)

The Upper East Regional Youth Organizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Abraham Lambon in 2020 chided the Regional Youth Organizer of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Latif Solomon for campaigning in some secondary schools with government Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) meant for second cycle institutions. Mr. Latif Solomon, while monitoring the Electoral Commission’s registration exercise in some senior high schools, was spotted in a video distributing PPE to students and urging them not to disappoint President Nana Addo for the implementation of the Free SHS education policy. An action the NDC Youth Organizer Mr. Lambon described as unfortunate and an act of impunity despite a ban on visitation to secondary schools by the Ghana Education Service. But in a reaction to the NDC’s claims, the NPP Youth Organizer, now late Latif Solomon Yenah, said, his action was a kind gesture to students who were not seen wearing nose masks at the time of registering for their voter’s identification cards. NPP Upper East Regional Youth Organizer Latif Solomon is dead

Members of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) across the Upper East Region have seen themselves in a melancholic mood after the news broke out that Latif Solomon Yenah their Regional Party Youth Organizer has passed on. Before now, Mr. Latif has been very instrumental in his job as a regional youth organizer by involving party youth especially in some of the government flagship programmes. At a time, the name Latif Solomon was taken over as ‘COMMANDER ONE’ due to his activeness in addressing issues to the party youth. However, after a while during the later part of Akufo-Addo’s first administration, Latif Solomon’s health condition changed from bad to worst and due to his love for his party, he was still seen around the various campaign platforms in Chaina/Paga Constituency and Bolgatanga. Latif Solomon has later flown out abroad for further medical treatment where he spent some months and later returned in March 2021.
