I Used To Spend Pounds In School, Moses Asaga Never Paid My School Fees- Lawyer Anthony Namoo

The Upper East Regional Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party Lawyer Anthony Namoo has told Ngamegbulam Chidozie Stephen of Apexnewsgh.com that the pronouncement made by the former Member Parliament for Nabdam Constituency against his person is false. In November 2,2020, while addressing party sympathizers at Zanlerigu-Wooredaa during the commissioning of a CHPS facility, the former Member of Parliament for the Nabdam Constituency in the Upper East Region, Hon. Moses Asaga was captured speaking on top of his voice, angrilly saying “the first person he paid his school was Anthony Namoo, stressing that, he expected the NPP Regional Chairman to grow up to respect elders and people who are his seniors in society but was rather taken aback at his ‘lose’ character. But, when Ngamegbulam Chidozie Stephen of Apexnewsgh.com approched the Regional Chairman for clarification, this was his reactions. “I lobbied the Vice President for him to help roof Sekoti Multipurpose community center, so the Vice President gave an amount of Seventy Thousand Cedis (Ghc 70,000.00) for me to present. Now, on the programme my position was there as making a remark and after that, I told them that because of my time schedule and concern that day, I had attended 4 funerals in addition to the programme. So, I said after the programme I have to leave. So, i told the chairman that I was leaving earlier. Moses was never task to say anything on the programme. So, what is it? The programme line up was there and my name was there as somebody to say something. After my speech, I donated Five Thousand Ghana cedis (Ghc 5,000.00) myself and the Vice Donated Seventy Thousand (70,000.00). Vice President Ghc70,000.00, was presented to the contractor who will be doing the roofing. So, this is it about Sekoti.” He explained. “For my school fees, Moses Asaga came at a time I had finished A’Level and I got admission at the University of Ghana to do Law, in the course of my studies I use to go to United Kingdom to work and get money ok, So, me I was a student I was rich, I have pounds, I use to make pounds and spend, not bragging. My uncles who supported me are there. It was only on one occasion that the late N.N Nayenbil who was then a presiding member of the then Bolgatanga District Assembly told him that, you have such an intelligent person doing law and you are helping people with Common Fund and don’t give him. Then, I was there Nayenbil said I should come for the Common Fund. So, Asaga as a person, I have never gone to him for any money. Ofcourse, that time he was the Member of Parliament, so, is only on one occasion and that one is Nayenbil asked me to come for the money and not Asaga. Is only one occasion, that money could not even buy one textbook on Law of studies.” He insisted Apexnewsgh.com/Ghana/Ngamegbulam Chidozie Stephen Please contact Apexnewsgh.com on email apexnewsgh@gmail.com for your credible news publications

I paid the school fees of Lawyer Anthony Namoo – Hon. Moses Asaga discloses

Former Member of Parliament for the Nabdam Constituency in the Upper East Region, Hon. Moses Asaga has revealed that he had once paid the school fees of Anthony Namoo, the Upper East Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, NPP. The former lawmaker said he expected the NPP regional chairman to grow up to respect elders and people who are his seniors in society but was rather taken aback at his ‘lose’ character. Speaking on top of his voice, Hon. Moses Asaga said, “the first person I paid his school is Anthony Namoo. I’m not saying that I took care of his education but when he was going to law school, there was no money to pay his fees. It was myself Moses Asaga, Professor Saa Dittoh, late N.N Nayenbil, Dr. Tii, Somtim, Dr. Yenbila, Mrs. Anderson, and Damol Daan who came together to contribute money to assist Anthony Namoo.” Hon Asaga recounted. Hon. Moses Asaga was addressing party sympathizers at Zanlerigu-Wooredaa during the commissioning of a CHPS facility which happens to be one of the projects executed by the Member of Parliament of the area, Dr. Mark Kurt Nawaane. The three office accommodation CHPS Compound with a consulting room, an OPD, and washrooms is expected to serve the health needs of over five other communities at the Zanlerigu electoral area. Speaking to the teeming supporters, Hon. Asaga further narrated that because he was the MP of the area, he decided to foot the admission bills of Anthony Namoo so he could go and report to school in time. “You know how difficult it becomes when different people are coming together to contribute money to support someone. So I decided to take care of the entire bills for him to go to school. As I speak today, I did not ask the committee for any refund of that money. So he should learn to respect people, and appreciate me for the assistance I gave him.” He concluded. The former MP who is also the immediate past Chief Executive Officer of the National Petroleum Authority has been campaigning in the Nabdam Constituency for John Dramani Mahama and Dr. Mark Kurt Nawaane on the ticket of NDC ahead of the December 7 elections. NABDAM: Come and let’s spend and enjoy our pension money together and forget parliament – Moses Asaga counsels Boniface Gambila

In what sounded like a brotherly advice to a colleague politician, the laughter and roar that accompanied it could make it look like a mockery and disapproval. Yes! A very discouraging and ‘stomach running’ statement from an astute politician can cause one to give up in life. And this one is not different. Former Member of Parliament for the Nabdam Constituency in the Upper East Region Hon. Moses Asaga has called on Mr. Boniface Gambila to forget returning to Parliament this year again. He said Mr. Boniface Gambila cannot be the MP for Nabdam any day. He has therefore called on him to come so that they could enjoy their pension benefits as former MPs. Hon. Asaga was addressing thousands of NDC sympathizers during a Youth Walk at Sekoti. “I want you to tell Gambila that Moses Saa Dok says he should come so that we can spend the pension money. So he should allow the smart and energetic person to be our MP. So he should come so that he and Moses Saa Dok who are age mates and also a former MP spend our pension together. So he shouldn’t bother himself engaging in political campaigns.’’ Hon. Asaga counselled. Hon. Moses Asaga is the immediate past Chief Executive Officer of the National Petroleum Authority. He served as MP of the area from 1996 till he lost it to Boniface Gambila in 2012. The walk was organized by the youth of the Sekoti enclave to drum home the need to retain the Member of Parliament of the area, Dr. Mark Kurt Nawaane for another four years. This according to them is due to the fact that he has taken the development of Nabdam like his personal home. They also called on the people of the area to vote massively for John Dramani Mahama as President in the December general elections to save their children from dropping out of school. David Dong, a convener of the youth questioned Boniface Gambila that “what legacy do you have as a former MP in Nabdam and you think you deserve to return to Parliament? Do not give your vote out to Boniface because of GHc5.00. The youth of Sekoti are poised to supporting people with development conscience.” The incumbent MP who arrived in the company of Tetteh Zure (constituency chairman) James Tenga (communications officer) Damian Azong (treasurer), Ambrose Yambire (Election Director) among other top shots of the party walked through the principal streets of Ndanbooh through Nyogbare-Benzure-Nabokin to Kotintaabig-Kugrin and ended at Sekoti Senior High School. He commended the youth for the initiative to mobilize themselves to support him to win the elections. He encouraged them to be on guard and campaign vigorously for victory come December 7. He also assured them of Mr. Mahama’s manifesto pledge of making primary health care free for Ghanaians should he win the December polls.
