The Chinese government has established police stations in Nigeria and in over 20 other countries in Europe, the Americas, Asia and Africa, in its effort to tackle the growing cases of fraud and telecommunication crimes of its citizens living abroad. This was disclosed via an investigative statement titled, ‘110 Overseas Chinese Transnational Policing Gone Wild.’ There are only three African countries that have Chinese police stations, with Nigeria being one while Lesotho and Tanzania are the two other African nations. According to the report by Safeguard Defender; “Rather than cooperating with local authorities in the full respect of territorial sovereignty, it prefers…to cooperate with (United Front-linked) overseas ‘NGOs’ or ‘civil society associations’ across the five continents, setting up an alternative policing and judicial system within third countries, and directly implicating those organisations in the illegal methods employed to pursue ‘fugitives’.” The investigation report noted that the Chinese authorities claimed that from April 2021 to July 2022, 230,000 nationals had been “persuaded to return” to face criminal proceedings in China. The report also revealed that China established the overseas Chinese police “service stations” and created national police emergency phone numbers through the campaign which started in 2018. The Minqing County Procuratorate, Fujian, Li Riqin, was also quoted as saying; “The procuratorial work involving overseas Chinese is long-term. The procuratorial and overseas Chinese should cooperate closely and strengthen interaction to normalize the mechanisms such as information exchange, legal publicity, joint visits and joint meetings. “They should give full play to the ‘four major procuratorial’ functions of the procuratorial organs in criminal, civil, administrative and public interest litigation.” “Through the establishment of overseas service centers, Qingtian County Police has made breakthroughs in its overseas pursuit of fugitives. Since 2018, the Qingtian police have detected and solved six criminal cases related to overseas Chinese, successfully arrested a red notice fugitive, and persuaded two suspects to surrender under the assistance from the Overseas centers”. The investigative report further disclosed that, China has designated nine countries as having serious fraud, telecom fraud and web crimes, and Chinese nationals are no longer allowed to stay in those countries without “good reason.”
VIDEO: Nigeria will split into two in 2022, Ghanaian Prophet— David Rauf
A popular Ghanaian Prophet, David Rauf of Star of Heaven Ministries has made an interesting prophecy about Nigeria, “Nigeria will split into two in the year 2022”. He prophesied Prophet Rauf made the revelation during an all-night program dubbed “One Night of Supper Natural Helps” with his congregation in Bolgatanga Municipality of the Upper East Region of Ghana. However, during his time of prophecy Prophet David Rauf admonished his congregation to pray for the country NIGERIA which is known as the giant African due to large population and economy. Nigeria as a country has been in the news over the years following the introduction of Boko Haram in 2012 and in recent times the attacks on innocent Nigerians by the Fulani herdsmen in various communities and forests, coupled with the kidnapping of innocent school children and their families as they demand ransom. The security situation in current Nigeria under the governing APC President Mahamadu Buhari has been criticized by security experts in both Nigeria and international for his inactiveness and bias way of tackling issues of banditry and terrorism in Nigeria. Nigeria is yet to successfully prosecute and convict any high-profile terrorist or sponsor of terror. The only segment of our operations that have enjoyed prominent attention is the rehabilitation of ‘repentant terrorists’ and their families — which has made many people wonder if there are different laws applicable to the terrorists. Report says Meanwhile, all these coupled with what is described as injustice and unfair treatment against the Eastern People of Nigeria has triggered a massive call for separation from Nigeria by a group known as Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) led by one of their illustrious sons Mazi. Nnamdi Kalu of Afara Ukwu Ibeku in Umuahia Abia State. According to the leader of IPOB Mazi Nnamdi Kalu, their demand to the Nigerian government is very simple. All they want is their freedom because they are very capable of surviving and making life better for themselves with the resources and God-given wisdom offered them by Chukwu Okike Abiama. Mazi Nnamdi Kalu is currently in DSS detention in Nigeria after a drama between Kenyan and their Nigerian security counterpart. What Kalu’s lawyers described as sponsored abduction and rendition. Kalu was supposed to appear in court for the first time after his abduction, but DSS was unable to produce him during the hearing before Justice Binta Nyako of an Abuja Federal High Court as they blamed it on logistics. Meanwhile, another leg of the Prophesy by Prophet David Rauf says, as at the time Nigeria will be splitting the flag of the United State of America will come down and a red flag will be raised and a woman will be on a podium announcing the death of the American President. “We should pray for Nigeria. Nigeria shall be divided into two in 2022, February thereabout to split. And the time it will be splitting, that will be a time the flag of United States of America (USA) will come down and a red flag will be raised and when the red flag is raised, I see a woman standing in front of a podium announcing the death of the President of the United State of America. At this same time Nigeria will split into two” Apexnewsgh.com/Ghana Please contact Apexnewsgh.com on email apexnewsgh@gmail.com for your credible news publications. Contact: +2335555568093
Twitter rejected FG’s demand that Nnamdi Kanu’s account be blocked – Lai Mohammed
Micro-blogging platform Twitter rejected the Nigerian government’s demand that the account of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu be blocked, Minister of Information and Culture Lai Mohammed disclosed on Tuesday. Mohammed stated this when he featured on ‘Politics Nationwide,’ a Radio Nigeria call-in programme in Abuja, according to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN). The minister insisted that Twitter was suspended in Nigeria because the platform was being used to promote the views of those who wanted to destabilize the country. Mohammed said that it was unfair to conclude that Twitter was suspended because it deleted a tweet posted by President Muhammadu Buhari. “Twitter has become a platform of choice for a particular separatist promoter,” he said. “The promoter consistently used the platform to direct his loyalists to kill Nigerian soldiers and policemen, run-down INEC offices and destroy all symbols of Nigeria’s sovereignty. “Every attempt to persuade Twitter to deny its platform to this separatist leader was not taken serious.” The minister added that the Nigerian government had no apology to offer to those who were unhappy with the suspension of Twitter’s operations in the country. He argued that a country must exist in peace before citizens could exercise freedom of speech. Speaking further, Mohammed blamed the violence and destruction of property recorded in parts of the country during the #EndSARS protests on Twitter and its founder, Jack Dorsey. Grammys 2021: Burna Boy and Wizkid win at music awards
Nigeria Afrobeats stars Burna Boy and Wizkid have both won awards at the 2021 Grammys. Burna Boy won the Best Global Music Album category while Wizkid won the Best Music Video for his song with Beyoncé; Brown Skin Girl, from Lion King: The Gift album. Beyoncé’s daughter Blue Ivy was also a winner on the song. The Best Music Video award is given to the artist, video director and video producer. Burna Boy, real name Damini Ogulu, a nominee for a second consecutive year, won with his Twice As Tall album. The 63rd Grammy Awards is being held in Los Angeles. Traditionally billed as “music’s biggest night”, this year’s ceremony is different because of the coronavirus pandemic. There is no audience, and performers have been separated onto five stages, arranged in a circle inside the Los Angeles Convention Center to maintain social distancing. Burna Boy, 29, beat four others including the Malian band, Tinariwen. The Grammys nomination described Twice As Tall as “a masterclass in the vibe and hustle that have made Burna Boy an international musical force”. “[He] continues to torch limitations, seamlessly blending styles and genres and fearlessly fuelling the fire heating the melting pot of pop, Afrobeat, dancehall, reggae and more,” it said. The album features a wide range of international artists such as Stormzy, Youssou Ndour, Naughty By Nature, and Chris Martin of Coldplay, and had Sean Combs as executive producer. Second time lucky Burna Boy was nominated in the same category in 2019 – then known as Best World Music Album – but lost out to Angelique Kidjo at the awards ceremony in 2020. However, Kidjo dedicated her win to him, saying: “Burna Boy is among those young artists that come from Africa that is changing the way our continent is perceived and the way that African music is the bedrock of all music.” Born in Nigeria’s Port Harcourt, Burna Boy released his first album, LIFE, an acronym for Leaving an Impact For Eternity, in 2013. That album was followed by the release of Redemption in 2015 and Outside in 2018 that included the international hit track, Ye. But it was with his 2019 African Giant album that Burna Boy really hit the international scene and earned his first Grammys nomination. Often compared to Nigerian superstar Fela Ransome-Kuti, whose songs Burna has sampled generously, he has become increasingly vocal about social causes in Africa. At the height of the xenophobic attacks in South Africa in 2019, he threatened to never set foot in the country again unless the government took action, although he has since performed in the country. He was also closely involved in the #EndSARS anti-police brutality protests in Nigeria last year, setting up a fund for victims and releasing a song in memory of those killed on 20 October 2020 at the Lekki Toll Gate in Lagos. He also recently tweeted his support for protesters in Senegal who took to the streets after the arrest of opposition leader Ousmane Sonko. Nigeria got ban relief from President Biden on his first day in office
Joe Biden the current U.S President has lifted the unfortunate travel ban placed on heavyweight of West African State Nigeria and some others countries which was one of the hand work of Donald Trump during his days in office. Biden on his official Facebook wall wrote “Now the real work begins, folks. follow along at President Joe Biden as we build back better”. No wonder in his first day in office, President Joe Biden issued some executive orders collapsing some of policies made by former President Donald Trump. Among the 17 executive orders and presidential actions Biden signed on Wednesday were the order to end travel restrictions and immigration from countries including Nigeria, Eritrea, Yemen, Sudan and others. “There’s no time to waste,” Biden said before signing the executive orders in the White House. These are just all starting points,” he added. The American Civil Liberties Union, a non-profit civil rights organization, applauded the move calling the travel policy a “cruel Muslim ban that targeted Africans.” However, the ban was changed, in part due to legal challenges, and included some non majority-Muslim nations. President Biden described the policy as discriminatory and an affront to the country’s values. Obasanjo congratulates Biden, says ‘it’s a victory of good over evil
The former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Mr. Olusegun Obasanjo has described the Joe Biden victory as a victory of good over evil. “I join millions in the United States of America and in the rest of the world who felicitate with you, President-Elect Joe Biden, for your victory. It is victory of good over evil and it is not victory for you and the people of America alone, but victory for most people of the world, majority of whom watch helplessly as the world that had been steadily and painstakingly built since the end of the Second World War was being pulled down”. According to the letter, “Not that the world was perfect and equitable but it was reasonably predictable with some measure of rule of law and respect for international agreements and treaties.” The former president added that “President-Elect Joe Biden must restore confidence in the role of America as the largest economy in the world which has a very significant responsibility for the peace, security, stability and progress of the world See the full details: Apexnewsgh.com/Ghana/Ngamegbulam Chidozie Stephen Please kindly contact Apexnewsgh.com on email:apexnewsgh@gmail.com for your credible news publications.
‘You have the right to protest but not in a violent manner’ – ECOWAS to Nigerians
The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Commission has said it has noted with concern that demonstrations by Nigerian youth calling for police reform, particularly the abolition of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) of the Nigeria Police, accused of misconduct by those demonstrating, have turned violent. Scores of Nigerians and some security officers have been killed during the violent protests in the oil-producing West African nation. The Commission in a statement on Wednesday, October 21 expressed its condolences to the families and friends of those who have lost their lives during the protests and wishes the injured a speedy recovery. “While ECOWAS Commission recognizes the right of citizens to freedom of expression and peaceful assembly and protests, it also wishes to stress that those rights should be exercised in a non-violent manner. “In this regard, ECOWAS Commission calls on all protesters to remain peaceful in the conduct of their demonstrations. It also urges the Nigerian security operatives to exercise restraint in the handling of the protests and act professionally,” the statement said. It added that “ECOWAS Commission further notes that, in an effort to address the demands of the protesting youth, the Federal Government of Nigeria took important decisions regarding disbandment of SARS, comprehensive police reforms and investigation of cases of police brutality. It encourages the Nigerian Authorities to conduct the investigation rapidly.” Please kindly contact Apexnewsgh.com on Email: apexnewsgh@gmail.com for your credible news publications
Authorities to investigate ‘rogue’ Nigerian force
Nigeria’s police affairs minister says that there will be an investigation into alleged infractions by a notorious unit in the police force that has been accused of atrocities against innocent civilians and routine harassment. On Sunday, Nigeria’s inspector general of police Mohammed Adamu banned the Special Anti Robbery Squad (Sars) from carrying out stop and search duties and setting up roadblocks. The hashtag #EndSARS had been trending on Twitter, triggered by the alleged killing of a young man by officers from the unit in the city of Lagos on Saturday. But there have been investigations in the past, the results of which have not been released, the BBC’s Nduka Orjinmo reports from the capital, Abuja. People want that information rather than more investigations, he added.
