Upper East NPP Communicator questioned why the Health Minister is still occupying his position?

A member of the Communication team of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Upper East Region Wilson Dabuo has questioned why the Health Minister Kwaku Agyeman-Manu will be allowed to go in his obvious acts of commission and omission? The party communicator’s post was sighted on his personal Facebook wall. His reactions came after some Ghanaians and some notable Civil Society Organizations such as ASEPA, Occupy Ghana and others have demanded the Minister’s resignation following his conduct in the recent reports by the parliament committee. It has since been established that the procurement processes even though involved an international contract, did not pass through parliament as required by law. The Health Minister says there was an urgent need to procure the vaccines and he intended to later ratify the process through parliament, Ghana has already paid GH¢16.3 million, representing 50 percent payment, according to an ad hoc parliamentary committee that investigated the controversial deal and directed that the Finance Minister should make efforts to retrieve the money. However, Wilson Dabuo, one who is known for speaking up his mind on party’s issues even radio as a party communicator has added his voice as he questioned the difficulty in letting the Health Minister go in his obvious acts of commission and omission but it was easy to let go Boakye Agyarko in similar acts of commission and omission? Mr. Dabuo added the boldness and courage with which he committed himself to those embarrassing blunders cannot be overlooked, no matter the tactfulness of defense. “I was very disappointed in the result of the election in the Upper East Region–President Akufo-Addo

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in his recent visit to the Upper East Region has disappointed some party personalities who claimed all is well with President Akufo-Addo regarding the party abysmal performance in the region during the 2020 general election. Apexnewsgh.com reports Upper East Region is one of the regions across the country that performed abysmally during the 2020 general elections. Before the general elections in 2020, politicians from both the opposition NDC and the governing NPP in the region predicted a number of Parliamentary seats both parties will capture after the final election declaration results. NDC, knowing they dominate the Upper East Region, came out with Operation 16-16 meaning that they are not leaving any constituency out, whiles the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the region strongly believes they will capture between 5 to 7 seats out of 16 constituencies. However, the predictions went in favor of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) who nearly took all the 16 seats but succeeded in capturing 15 seats in the region, leaving only one seat for the governing NPP, the Binduri seat. Even though one would have thought that the already secured 3 seats by the governing party will be maintained but unfortunately, all the old seats were lost to the NDC. President Akufo-Addo during his speech at the Bawku Naba Palace made what he what described as a  ‘frank’ pronouncement to the people of the Upper East Region during his visit to Zug-Raan Naba Asigri Abugrago Azoka II “Just as you speak frankly to me, I have to speak frankly to you as well and had to say to you that I was very disappointed in the result of the election in the Upper East Region. Especially if you have considered the work we have done in this region. But whatever the case may be, at least we have one seat in the case of the MP for Binduri” President Akufo-Addo said. Prices of Millet, maize, rice and others in the Upper East Region increasing massively- Apexnewsgh-Tv reports (WATCH VIDEO)

For some time now, Bolgatanga Municipal as a regional capital of the Upper East Region has become a place of unbearable increment of goods and services. This trending development is gradually becoming a huge canker that cannot be controlled if care is not taken by those mandated and paid with the taxpayer’s money to control such irregularities. Unfortunately, the two main local political party communicators in the region NDC and NPP have started playing politics with such terrible development in the name of ‘I SPEAK FOR MY PARTY’ without considering the majority of the needy and those who cannot afford to meet up with the growing unfortunate development. Very pathetic, isn’t it? From what Ngamegbulam Chidozie Stephen gathered when Apexnewsgh-Tv visited the popular Bolgatanga Ayia market of the Upper East Region, it appears that millet and maize saw an increment of over (95) percent between the last year 2020 and the month of June 2021. Ironically, the market women themselves were not happy with such development. According to them, the skyrocketing prices of their products are gradually becoming an impediment to them because consumers are no longer forthcoming to patronize them as usual and that is affecting their responsibilities at home as family breadwinners. That’s alarming, isn’t it? Even though Apexnewsgh-Tv crew tried so hard to avoid some political comments during our engagement with some of these traders, they still insist on blaming the government of the day for their predicaments. According to them, during the time of John Dramani Mahama and the NDC, things were better for them and everyone in need of buying their product was able to afford it. Just last year 2020, a bag of maize was sold between Ghc 120.00 to Ghc 150.00 and a bag of millet was sold between Ghc 150.00 to Ghc 200.00. Currently, as at June 5, 2021, the Price of Maize is sold in the Bolgatanga Ayia market between Ghc 230.00 and Ghc 240.00 whiles millet is sold between Ghc 340.00 and Ghc 350.00 A bag of unpolished local rice 100kg bag is sold between Ghc 500.00m and Ghc 530.00 Prices of groundnut and Dawadawa bags isn’t an exception. Watch the video: Indeed, it is gradually becoming a true reflection of a particular popular saying that ‘when two elephants fight, the grass suffers’ May those in control at the top, remember to consider the ordinary people who struggle to eat ones in a day. Even though, the governing New Patriotic Party in the Upper East Region was heavily criticized after the 2020 general election for an abysmal performance shown since the party history according to critics, especially by losing the 3 seats already secured in 2016 to NDC in 2020. Upper East Region became the first region across the country to start the process of filing for those interested in the position of MMDC, s in the region which later triggered the National Secretary John Boadu openly announced in one of his interview with Accra base station, that the national office did not sanction any regional executive to start such process. Excerpt of late Latif Solomon Yenah NPP Youth Organizer’s Interview in 2020 (Audio)

The Upper East Regional Youth Organizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Abraham Lambon in 2020 chided the Regional Youth Organizer of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Latif Solomon for campaigning in some secondary schools with government Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) meant for second cycle institutions. Mr. Latif Solomon, while monitoring the Electoral Commission’s registration exercise in some senior high schools, was spotted in a video distributing PPE to students and urging them not to disappoint President Nana Addo for the implementation of the Free SHS education policy. An action the NDC Youth Organizer Mr. Lambon described as unfortunate and an act of impunity despite a ban on visitation to secondary schools by the Ghana Education Service. But in a reaction to the NDC’s claims, the NPP Youth Organizer, now late Latif Solomon Yenah, said, his action was a kind gesture to students who were not seen wearing nose masks at the time of registering for their voter’s identification cards.
