In a recent statement, the Upper East Regional Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Peter Ayinbisa, vehemently criticized the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for propagating false information about the Ghana School Feeding Program (GSFP) in the Upper East Region. Ayinbisa further described the NDC’s claims as malicious and rooted in their desperate pursuit of political power. He clarified that the School Feeding Program was initially introduced by the John Agyekum Kuffour government in 2005. The program’s objective was to enhance food security and reduce hunger, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goal 2. Over the years, the program has witnessed significant growth in terms of the number of children served and the financial commitment from the government. The budget allocation for the GSFP has increased, with the feeding cost per child rising from GH¢ 0.80 in 2016 to GH¢ 1.20 and GH¢ 3.20 in subsequent years. The number of children benefiting from the program has also increased from around 1.6 million in 2016 to over 3.3 million currently. This expansion demonstrates the government’s dedication to achieving 100% coverage in the Upper East Region. Ayinbisa acknowledged that there are outstanding payments to caterers, a standard practice within the program. However, he assured caterers that efforts were underway to settle these arrears. The NPP government remains committed to the continuity of the program, despite the economic challenges faced by the country. Furthermore, Ayinbisa refuted the NDC’s claim that caterers have not fulfilled their contractual obligations since the reopening of schools. According to investigations, the majority of caterers are diligently providing meals for school children, with any delays being isolated incidents and not indicative of government negligence. According to Peter Ayinbisa, in an attempt to deflect attention from their lack of constructive criticism, the NDC included unrelated issues such as capitation grants and dual desks in the North East region. He dismissed these claims as baseless, citing the NPP government’s increased budgetary allocations for education, including a significant rise in capitation grants. Ayinbisa challenged the NDC to substantiate their allegations of caterers being owed for three terms and a desk deficit in the North East region. He emphasized the government’s commitment to Ghana’s development, particularly in education, hunger reduction, and sustainable development. Ayinbisa urged the public to disregard the NDC’s statement and have confidence in the proven track record of the NPP administration. Akosombo Dam Spillage: Peter Ayinbisa eulogizes Volta Region MPs, asked if Upper East also have MPs?
The Upper East Regional Communications Director of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Peter Ayinbisa, has praised Members of Parliament from the Volta Region for their exceptional cooperation and unwavering determination in ensuring the safety of their constituents. The Volta Region has been severely affected by widespread flooding, which has forced over 4,000 residents to evacuate their homes. The flooding in the Volta Region has been caused by the overflowing of the Akosombo Dam, leading to significant damage to homes and farmlands along the River Volta. This has resulted in the displacement of thousands of people and the disruption of essential services such as water and electricity. In response to this crisis, Mr. Ayinbisa expressed satisfaction. According to him, Members of Parliament from the Volta Region have shown remarkable cooperation and a strong fighting spirit in their efforts to ensure the safety of their constituents. Their dedication and commitment to assisting those affected by the flooding is commendable. The Ghanaian government has acknowledged the severity of the situation and confirmed that thousands of people in nine districts have been displaced as a direct result of the flooding. The Global Disaster and Coordination System, affiliated with the United Nations, has also reported some injuries related to the disaster. Meanwhile, prior to the inundation, the Volta River Authority had issued advisories urging residents to relocate to higher ground. This recommendation came in response to the rising water levels upstream of the Akosombo Dam, primarily driven by heavy rainfall in the region. Further expressing his view on his Facebook wall on Saturday October 21, 2023, Mr. Ayinbisa eulogize the contribution and the fighting spirit shown so far by the Volta Region MPs towards the welfare and safety of their people. The Regional Communication Director further criticized Members of Parliament (MPs) from the Upper East Region for not been able to showcase such patriotism in the past when Upper East Region faced similar flooding disaster in the region. “I truly like the fighting spirit of the MPs from Volta. There have been perennial flooding in parts of the UER over the years, I have never heard any voice from our MPs. Lives were lost, farms washed away, landed property destroyed etc etc. Do we really have people who represent us? Mr. Ayinbisa asked. Voters will determine Dr. Bawumia’s credibility and integrity not the likes of Michael Abogro who sits outside and around the gallery making reckless comments—Peter Ayinbisa
Mr. Ayinbisa was responding to Abogro’s comment which suggests that he does not see anything unique the Vice-President has to offer the NPP and the people of Ghana after failing to live up to expectations as the head of the Economic Management Team in the last 6 years “What new do you have? You’re sitting there, you’re in charge, you’re the economist of our time, better place to manage the economy, head of the economic management team, what again do you have to offer?” he questioned in an interview on State of Our Nation. “The vice-president still sits in office because he and the president ran on one ticket and they had one vision. So how new, how radical will his new vision and aspiration be able to change things after he has managed the economy for 8 years?” Abogro said Meanwhile, reacting to the statements made by Abogro against Vice President Dr. Bawumia, Mr. Ayinbisa said, no patriotic member of the party will take Mr. Abogro seriously because the determination of Dr. Bawumia’s Integrity and credibility will be decided by those who have the voting right and not by the likes of Michael Abogro who sits outside and around the gallery making reckless comments. “I am a voter, am going to vote and I will decide the credibility issues and the integrity issues than he Michael Abogro, because he has no vote, he not a voter at all levels. Voting at the special delegate level, he is not a voter, and voting at the general level he is not a voter. So, the issues of credibility and integrity will be determined by those who had the right to vote and not people who sit outside, people who sit around the gallery and make such comments”. According to Mr. Ayinbisa, he is not surprised these comments are coming from within, because before the 2016 general elections some of them made those reckless comment about President Akufo-Addo, “some of them said, Akufo-Addo was too short he cannot be president, some of them said, Akufo-Addo will never become president in this country and I was there when some of them made those reckless and needless comments, I was there when they say they are not going to campaign for Akufo-Addo. Eventually, when Akufo-Addo become president in 2017, the same people are the ones who are milking and enjoying the government. The same people who said that he is not qualified, he is not fit, he doesn’t have the luck to become president, they have milked, they have enjoyed the presidency of Akufo-Addo but they worked against Akufo-Addo, they didn’t want Akufo-Addo to win. And am telling you that we have picked signals, intelligence, that they are working around to make the party lose so that we can go into opposition and they will now reorganize the party”. Peter Ayinbisa-Regional Communication Director NPP (Left) Abdallah Salifu-Regional Communication Officer NDC (Right)
NDC has no moral right to criticize ongoing Astroturf in Binduri–Peter Ayinbisa
The Upper East Regional Director of Communication for the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has said, the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Region does not have the moral right to criticize the ongoing Astroturf in the Binduri constituency and any other parts of the region, because they failed woefully without giving the region even a 4 by 4 Astroturf when they had the opportunity to produce a sports Minister Mahama Ayariga a resident of the Upper East Region. Mr. Ayinbisa was responding to the claim made by the NDC Regional Communication Officer Abdallah Salifu, who during an interview with Ngamegbulam Chidozie Stephen of Apexnewsgh.com on Monday described the ongoing construction of Astroturf by the Binduri Member of Parliament Abdulai Abanga as “4 by 4 Astroturf’ Meanwhile, responding further to the claim made by the RCO, Mr. Ayinbisa questioned the NDC record in Binduri as far as sports development is concerned since 1992. “He is saying that the Astroturf is 4 by 4, what is your record in that constituency in terms of sports development in that constituency? They have occupied that seat since 1992 and they have not built a 4 by 4 Astroturf facility in that constituency. Just within two and half years, Hon. Abanga has lobbied and they have brought the Astroturf facility to Binduri Constituency and he is complaining. If he likes, he should call it zero Astroturf, we all know they have not done anything for the people of Binduri they have not given them any sports facility”. “Let me put it on record, that what we are seeing is phase one of the project, phase two will come and it will contain many more recreational areas within the constituency and I want to assure NDC, by the time we are done with what we want to do Abdallah himself will run to Binduri to exercise to become more fits than he is currently. He will definitely stop going to magani and go to Binduri”. Ayinbisa stressed He said, the NDC promised to build a sports stadium in the region and they ended up doing nothing. “Mahama Ayariga was a Sports Minister and he did nothing and today, we are building an Astroturf in Binduri, We are building Astroturf in Pusiga, we are building Astroturf in Bolga and we are building a mini Sports Stadium in Navrongo. So, we are building four (4) Astroturf within this region”. “The NDC did not build any single Astroturf in the region since 1992. So, they don’t have the moral right to talk about that”. He stressed Meanwhile, pointing out some of Hon. Abanga’s contributions to his people of Binduri within just a two years interval in office, the NPP Regional Communication Director Mr. Ayinbisa said: Medical equipment comprises of beds, mattresses, wheelchairs, and some other medical equipment that I might not be able to mention on this platform. No MP for Binduri has ever presented medical equipment to the hospital and I deer them to produce any records of any of their MPs, Ministers, or Deputy Ministers having procured any medical equipment and supply to the Binduri Constituency and that is what Hon. Abanga the lone ranger of this region, the single MP for this region is doing for the people of Binduri. “The MP has supplied over 700 dual desks to schools in Binduri. Look, am here in Bongo and am looking at what my MP has done and I can tell you and bet you my last pesewas that Edward Bawa has not supplied up to 700 pieces of furniture to schools in Bongo, he has not even supplied up to 300 furniture to schools in the district. I have not seen, I have not heard that he has supplied furniture to schools in our district up to 700 and that is what the MP for Binduri has done”. he stated The NPP Regional Communication Director maintained that Hon. Abanga thinks about the Children, “he thinks about the future of children and that is what he has done in the constituency. So, if you sit in your corner you think the MP has done nothing. I am telling you on authority that the MP has drilled over 35 boreholes, he drilled a good number before buying the wreck but after buying the wreck, he has drilled over 35 boreholes”. “The claim by Abdallah that, the wreck is his personal one, what is wrong about that? Don’t we use our personal benevolence to help communities? This is an MP whose colleagues used their Common Funds or used the loans they were supposed to use to buy V-8 vehicles to have comfort by driving around the country, coming to the constituency to show off, sitting comfortably and going around the constituency. This is an MP who decided to discount his comfort by using the loan he was supposed to use to buy a V-8, he added money from his personal resources to buy a wreck to drill boreholes to the benefit of the people. What is wrong with that? He asked Meanwhile, Ayinbisa also maintained that, It is only the NDC who doesn’t do that, “they are always waiting to use government-made resources, they are always waiting for the normal allocated resources before they can do something for the constituency”. Mr. Ayinbisa told Apexnewsgh.com He shared some phone footage of medical equipment supplied by Hon. Abanga Source: Apexnewsgh.com/Ghana For publication please kindly contact us on 0256336062 or Email apexnewsgh@gmail.com
Binduri is neither for NDC nor NPP, claiming the seat is for the NDC is a fallacy—Ayinbisa’s response to Abdallah Salifu
The Upper East Regional Communication Director of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Mr. Peter Ayinbisa has said, the Binduri seat does not belong to either NPP or NDC as he rubbishes claims made by Abdallah Salifu that Binduri Seat is for the opposition NDC. Speaking to ApexnewsGhana Ngamegbulam Chidozie Stephen in an exclusive interview, Mr. Ayinbisa said: “The Binduri seat is for the people of Binduri and not for either NPP or NDC. The people of Binduri have the right by the 1992 constitution to have a representation in Parliament, somebody who represents their issues and concerns in Parliament, demanding answers from duty bearers and giving feedback to the constituents”. “So, for somebody to claim that it is their seat is a fallacy and such people are dreaming and unfortunately they are dreaming in the afternoon when dreams happens when we are asleep. Ayinbisa stressed According to the NPP Regional Communication Director, “The Binduri seat for sometime now has become almost like a swing seat, the NPP has won it for the second time and the NDC have won more of the seats, is one of the seats that you can’t say that it belong to party A or B because when you think is going to be won by NDC, it goes to NPP and when you think is going to be won by the NPP, it goes to NDC. And you know that the current Regional Minister has won that seat before and so nobody can claim ownership of that seat”. He maintained Meanwhile, he is much confident, “The people of Binduri are very rational people. They are rational in the sense that, they are looking for development, they are looking for people who will bring development to their Constituency. Voting has a meaning, for people to go and queue to register during registrations, for people to go and queue to check their names on the register, it means there is an intention. The intention is not for individual benefit, it is for a collective benefit. The collective benefit has to do with the fact that they expect their representative to bring them some considerable amount of development and if you looked at those who have represented the Binduri constituency over the years since 1992, I can speak on authority and deer the NDC either regional communication officer or anybody from the constituency to prove me wrong that there have been an MP in that constituency including our own person who was there before who have developed Binduri constituency more than Hon. Abanga. Nobody!” stressed Ayinbisa is extremely confident the work of Hon. Abanga and the NPP will pave way him in the next election. The NPP’s least GDP growth in the last years is better than NDC–Peter Ayinbisa
The Upper East Regional Communication Director of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Peter Ayinbisa has claimed, that the NPP’s least GDP growth in the last 5 years has performed better than that of the NDC. Apexnewsgh.com reportThe Regional Communication Director made the claim on Apexnewsgh.com flagship program dubbed “SPEAK OUT UPPER EAST” on Wednesday, September 06, 2022Mr. Ayinbisa said, when the NPP came to power in 2016, they inherited a certain economy and later moved from there to a certain level before COVID came. “In 2016, we have to look at the various indicators that show an economy is healthy and doing well. Am talking about the GDP growth rate, am talking about the inflation, am talking about the interest rate, and am talking about employment”.He said: “If you look at GDP, you would ask yourself is what did the NPP came to meet in 2017. What was the GDP growth rate in 2016? What has the NDC left for us in 2016? According to him, “It is based on the robustness and healthiness of the economy that everything can triumph from there.Explaining the economy the NPP inherited from the opposition NDC, the Upper East Regional Communication Director of the governing party pointed out: “In 2016 when we came the NDC had a GDP rate of 4.6 percent. So, in 2017 we moved the GDP rate from there to a higher percentage, in 2018 we move it to over 8 percent and in 2019 we came back to 6.5 percent and in 2020 it came down. And am saying this to show that even our least GDP growth between the last 4 to 5 is better than that of the NDC”. He stressedHowever, he strongly believes the Bawumia-Akufo-Addo administration wants to maintain a strong economy that will reflect in the living standard of ordinary Ghanaians. “We want to maintain a very strong economy, that is why when they left it at 4.6 percent, we increased it in 2017 to 8.1 percent, in 2018 it came down to 6.2 percent, in 2019 it went up again to 6.5 percent. He said, these are the indicators to show that a certain economy is doing well and has the capacity to contain the growth of the country, and for that matter to ensure that the people living in that economy are going about their work, and their cost of living is maintained and they are able to purchase basic things in the economy”. The level of corruption witnessed under this government is unprecedented –Solomon TTB
The Talensi Constituency Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress and a member of the NDC communication team Solomon TTB has described the level of corruption witnessed so far in the country and the recent Auditor’s General report as unprecedented in the history of Ghana. Apexnewsgh.com report The Constituency Secretary made the pronouncement on Apexnewsgh.com flagship program dubbed “SPEAK OUT UPPER EAST” on Tuesday, September 05, 2022 According to him, Corruption is aggressively growing in the country than development and has eaten Ghanaians, which is what citizens witnessing today clearly and simply mean. “That is unprecedented that we have never seen in the history of this country looking at the level of the corruption, looking at the level of financial malfeasance, looking the level of infractions in the Auditor’s General Report. It clearly means that things are really tough and the NPP since time immemorial has not put in any serious commitment to the fight against corruption and they also have a track record of allowing corrupt officials to go unpunished and history will always put us right. He stressed He further stressed that the NPP has not shown any serious commitment to fighting corruption. “You recall some couple of years ago when President Kufour was in government and decided to throw his hands up and say corruption as old as Adam, so looking at those called Dankwa, Bosia or whatever tradition, the NPP government has never shown any serious commitment in the fight against corruption and that is why we are now witnessing some of these things in this country”.He stated “In the case of Nana Akufo-Addo, the case is absolutely worse, it has never been seen in the history of Ghana. He is seriously clearing all corrupt officials, he has assumed the post of clearing agent at the Ghana port of corruption”. Responding to the Auditor’s General report, Mr. Solomon said: “We all saw Domelovu as someone who was seriously fighting corruption, but the President did not want anyone who could expose him and his government and for that matter, Domelovu will have to take an early bath in the Auditor’s General Department. However, he believes the government has recruited a lot of people as ghost workers just to loot the state. He sighted an example with the people captured by the Auditor’s General as ghost workers at the Ministry of Finance. It is because people are doing gargantuan sole-sourcing, it is because people are making payments of money to themselves, apart from that, putting ghost names in departments and various ministries. According to him, One Habibu who is working at the Finance Ministry as a ghost name took over Ghc 300,000 and the other over Ghc 500,000 for 24 months. He was the 2020 Parliamentary Candidate for Tamale North. This is captured in the Auditor’s General report which is not my saying. They have put people there and they are looting the state for no work done. He concluded Source: Apexnewsgh.com For publication please kindly contact 0256336062 or Email: apexnewsgh@gmail.com
Wilson Dabuo dares Communication Director to produce phones meant for….
A former member of the Upper East Regional Communication Team Wilson Dabuo has allegedly questioned the whereabouts of phones he claimed were given to the newly appointed Regional Communication Director of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Peter Ayinbisa two months ago for onward distribution to party Communicators. His post on Meta dated August 26, 2022, said: “From the grapevine, about two months ago, some number of phones were received in Accra by Peter Ayinbisa Ayamga for onward distribution to the Communicators of the Region. It is been long expected that the phones should have been given out by now but no one seems to have an idea of the phones’ whereabouts. Can Peter Ayinbisa Ayamga tell us all where these phones are and why the Communicators have not known about them all these days? Read full details below: Wilson Dabuo writes… 26/08/2022 Peter Ayinbisa Ayamga: The Problem of Bongo Constituency has now become the Problem of the Region’s Communication Team. An Avoidable Bad Omen. “You are the problem of Bongo” were the Presisdent’s disapproving response to Peter Ayinbisa Ayamga, the embattled Regional Communications Director of the NPP Upper East Region. His greetings to the Present were repugnant and repulsive as the President could not pretend about his hide-and-seek games in the District. At the President’s recent working visit to the Region, it was manifestly clear that the President was not happy with happenings in the Region and disappointingly, his facial expressions could not have been moderated at the sight of those who were deemed as the troublemakers in NPP in the Region. One of such obviously was the perpetual self-seeking Peter Ayinbisa Ayamga. The President could not hide his bad feelings about Peter Ayinbisa Ayamga’s manoeuvres in the Bongo District and his extended criminality into the Region. As though the President’s disappointments on him were not enough he send some of the Bongo Constituency Executives under the leadership of the Constituency Chairman to meet with the Local Government Minister to discuss possibilities for the removal of the current Bongo DCE. They were to tell the Minister that until the DCE was removed there was no way they, the Bongo Constituency Executives and Communicators could win the Bongo seat. The Minister however was much more smarter than the team who met him and they made a fool of themselves after a demonstrated defection of their intent. Again, At a recent attempt to remove the DCE, sent an Executive Committee representation led by Peter Ayinbisa Ayamga himslef to Accra to meet with the Vice President on account of plans to get rid of the Bongo DCE. They have since returned without meeting with the Vice President after several days of negotiations to see him. They left shamelessly back to Bolgatanga Region. The question I dare ask at this point is why is Peter Ayinbisa Ayamga so helpless and restless in the current DCE’s position? What is the DCE doing right that they don’t like? The above notwithstanding, Peter Ayinbisa Ayamga has now become a new-normal of a problem in the Region’s Communication Team of the NPP. I have always maintained that as much as politics is business, when your work and sacrifices have gone unrecognized, were you an unalligned party fellow, would have been much ideal. Some time ago, I wrote about the deteriorating plights of the NPP Upper East Region’s Communication team and was faced with denial and name-calling. I am happy however that things have relatively changed in spite of those cooked up denials as party’s leadership saw the need to intervene. The problem however seems to be resurfacing with Peter Ayinbisa Ayamga being put in charge. The starlings have soon began. From the grapevine, about two months ago, some number of phones were received in Accra by Peter Ayinbisa Ayamga for onward distribution to the Communicators of the Region. It is been long expected that the phones should have been given out by now but no one seems to have an idea of the phones’ whereabouts. Can Peter Ayinbisa Ayamga tell us all where these phones are and why the Communicators have not known about them all these days? Lastly, it is strite knowledge that no striking union has ever been denied their monthly payments in this country no matter the longevity of the strike. In the case of the NPP Upper East Region’s Communication team, since they went on their sit-down strike to register their displeasure in the appointment of Peter Ayinbisa Ayamga as Director of Communications, they have been denied without a reason, their monthly stipends. Can Peter Ayinbisa Ayamga tell us when the Communicators are to have their share of the ghc30,000 which is in his personal accounts? The money is their due and cannot be idled in your account while the Communicators are languishing in these hard times. We expect a query and condemnation from National leadership to Hopeson Adorye–NPP REG COMM DIR
Peter Ayinbisa, the Upper East Regional Communication Director of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has said, he is expecting the party National Party’s leadership to come out openly to condemn the ethnocentric comment made by Hopeson Adorye against Northerners. According to Mr. Ayinbisa, he believes the delegates are those who will speak. He spoke with Ngaemegbulam Chidozie Stephen of Apexnewsgh.com exclusively on Monday, August 15, 2022. “I expect the leadership of the party to condemn him and ask him to apologize to Northerners in general for that reckless comment that he made. I expect in the coming days to see the General Secretary, the National Chairman, and the rest of the executives issuing a query to him and demanding an unqualified apology from him regarding Northerners because in this case is not even about the NPP is about Northerners in general”. “Is not good for our party to be divided into those things, is not good for a senior party member like Hopeson to have to say what he said. But I believe that the delegates are those who will speak. When the time comes, they will decide who will lead this party. The delegates are very sophisticated these days, whoever they elect, at the end of the day as our flagbearer all of us are going to rally behind that person. It doesn’t lie in the mouth of Hopeson to think that we the Northerners are supposed to be running mates. In fact, I wanted to remain neutral but the fact that he insulted us the Northerners, I think what he has said in bad taste, he shouldn’t have made that comment, I condemned that comment”. “But, we are not shaking as a party we will look at what the instructions and directions will be moving forward”. “So, for me, as a Northerner am not happy he has re-relegated us to background thinking that we are supposed to be running mates. We think that we have what it takes to lead this country. NDC have had it, they had John Mahama and we too will have it”. Hopeson Adorye was captured making these pronouncements after a health walk organized by supporters of Alan John Kyerematen on Saturday. “Whenever a Danquah leads the party, the Busia side steps aside but there is a Dombo (for running mate), and whenever a Busia lead, the Danquah side steps aside but there is a Dombo (for running mate). As for the Dombos they are always there (for running mate). “If it went to Danquah, came to Busia, went back to Danquah, where should it go now, is it not Busia?” Adorye asked. Am not coming to be an armchair Reg. Com Dir, kindly resind your decision—Peter Ayinbisa to Aggrieved Communicators
The Upper East Regional Communication Director for the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Peter Ayinbisa has revealed that he is not coming to overburden anyone communicator because he is coming not to be armchair Regional Communication Director. Apexnewsgh.com report “So, for me, am not coming to be an armchair leader to come and load it on anybody, am coming to work with them, am coming to learn from them and they also learn from me. So, using your medium once again to appeal to our friends that have to stop communicating hardly because of my appointment and because of procedure, I want to urge them to rescind their decision and join the team and let us work together for unity of our party”. “Because we are all talking about breaking the 8, it means we have to break the 8 together, we need quality numbers and we need the communicators to join so that we can break the 8 together. I know none of them will want to see the NPP going into opposition, we want this party to continue to grow. So that the work we have started, and the gains we have made will be able to continue and consolidate those gains so that the benefit will come to our people. So, am urging them to reconsider their decision and join me and the rest of the team. So, that we can continue what we do best”.He pleaded Meanwhile, the NPP communicators in the region have deserted radio stations in the region following the appointment of Peter Ayinbisa as the Regional Communication Director for the governing New Patriotic Party in the Region.
