Kofi Dagarti: Pull down publication and render apology to Dagara/Dagaba–Winneba Lecturer to Agyakoo

Wilson Dabuo, a lecturer in History at the University of Education Winneba and a resident of Nandom in the Upper West Region, is expressing his disapproval of a movie series titled ‘KOFI DAGARTI’ that is currently being circulated. Apexnewsgh.com The movie, produced by Honey Jones Production and directed by Richard N. Appiah, is scheduled to have its premiere on December 10, 2023. Mr. Dabuo strongly believes that the producers of the movie are wrongfully and unacceptably glorifying their work, which he believes goes against the sentiments of the Dagara/Dagabas community. “We are therefore, by this statement calling on the Ministry of Tourism, Arts And Culture and the Manager and/or Producer Official. Agyakoo  of this movie to take the necessary steps to pull the publication down, discontinue its premièring and render an unequivocal apology to the Dagara/Dagaba people of Ghana and the world at large”. The statement demands Read full statement below: This is so so wrong and unacceptable. One would have thought that in this 21st century, we have long past these uncivilities of disrespect and intolerance of one ethnic group against another in Ghana, but no, this is one clear publication, fully manifesting that we are still in the dark days of colonialism. We the Dagara people of Ghana, parts of Burkina Faso, Togo, Cote d’Ivoire and those of Mali take a strong exception to this film production titled: “KOFI DAGARTI”. We are therefore, by this statement calling on the Ministry of Tourism, Arts And Culture and the Manager and/or Producer Official. Agyakoo  of this movie to take the necessary steps to pull the publication down, discontinue its premièring and render an unequivocal apology to the Dagara/Dagaba people of Ghana and the world at large. The use of the Dagara pejorative “Kofi Dagarti” in your movie production is with significant implications. What you must know is that the term “Kofi Dagarti” is derogatory and often used to stereotype or mock individuals from the Dagara ethnic group. This is particularly common in the Asante region. The use of pejorative terms like “Kofi Dagarti” in movie productions such as yours raises concerns not only about cultural insensitivity but also about the perpetuation of harmful stereotypes and the potential impact on social dynamics. These terms we are aware were rooted in historical prejudices and originated from among European anthropologists and highly used and publicize by the Asante people who were noted to have such flirtatious attitude of discrimination or bias towards other ethnic groups and particularly the Dagara settlements in the Asante Chiefdom. These pejoratives remain debated issues and We do not want to go into that painful past of our history. Therefore, incorporating such language in your movie is seen as a deliberate agenda to perpetuate negative stereotypes, reinforce biases, and contribute to cultural insensitivity in this country. This attempt can alienate as it offends members of the Dagara community and perpetuate harmful narratives. As a Filmmaker you owe it a responsibility to exercise caution when handling cultural and ethnic references, ensuring that your work promotes inclusivity and respect. This particular production does not ensure inclusivity, it is divisive and bigotry. The inappropriate use of pejoratives can lead to backlash, controversies, and negatively impact the reputation of your movie. It is essential for creators like you to be mindful of the cultural implications of the content you produce and strive to foster understanding and unity rather than perpetuating stereotypes or contributing to division. By incorporating such pejoratives, you are reinforcing negative perceptions and contributing to the marginalization of specific ethnic or cultural groups in Ghana. Originality in movie productions should be approached with cultural sensitivity, avoiding the reproduction of harmful stereotypes and derogatory language. Let us take for example that the term “Kofi Dargati” as appeared on your flyer is used as a character name or descriptor, it may inadvertently reinforce stereotypes about the Dagara people, portraying them in a one-dimensional and negative light. This lack of originality perpetuates harmful narratives rather than challenging or subverting them. Obviously, this is not the way to entertain and educate a people of a nation with a multidimensional cultural background. Best practice, Filmmakers world wide have a responsibility to engage in thoughtful storytelling that promotes diversity, challenges stereotypes, and fosters a more inclusive representation of various cultures. Originality in movie production should involve creating characters and narratives that go beyond clichés and encourage audiences to appreciate the complexity and richness of different cultural backgrounds. This approach not only contributes to a more positive viewing experience but also aligns with the principles of cultural respect and understanding. Wilson Dabuo dares Communication Director to produce phones meant for….

A former member of the Upper East Regional Communication Team Wilson Dabuo has allegedly questioned the whereabouts of phones he claimed were given to the newly appointed Regional Communication Director of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Peter Ayinbisa two months ago for onward distribution to party Communicators. His post on Meta dated August 26, 2022, said: “From the grapevine, about two months ago, some number of phones were received in Accra by Peter Ayinbisa Ayamga for onward distribution to the Communicators of the Region. It is been long expected that the phones should have been given out by now but no one seems to have an idea of the phones’ whereabouts. Can Peter Ayinbisa Ayamga tell us all where these phones are and why the Communicators have not known about them all these days? Read full details below: Wilson Dabuo writes… 26/08/2022 Peter Ayinbisa Ayamga: The Problem of Bongo Constituency has now become the Problem of the Region’s Communication Team. An Avoidable Bad Omen. “You are the problem of Bongo” were the Presisdent’s disapproving response to Peter Ayinbisa Ayamga, the embattled Regional Communications Director of the NPP Upper East Region. His greetings to the Present were repugnant and repulsive as the President could not pretend about his hide-and-seek games in the District. At the President’s recent working visit to the Region, it was manifestly clear that the President was not happy with happenings in the Region and disappointingly, his facial expressions could not have been moderated at the sight of those who were deemed as the troublemakers in NPP in the Region. One of such obviously was the perpetual self-seeking Peter Ayinbisa Ayamga. The President could not hide his bad feelings about Peter Ayinbisa Ayamga’s manoeuvres in the Bongo District and his extended criminality into the Region. As though the President’s disappointments on him were not enough he send some of the Bongo Constituency Executives under the leadership of the Constituency Chairman to meet with the Local Government Minister to discuss possibilities for the removal of the current Bongo DCE. They were to tell the Minister that until the DCE was removed there was no way they, the Bongo Constituency Executives and Communicators could win the Bongo seat. The Minister however was much more smarter than the team who met him and they made a fool of themselves after a demonstrated defection of their intent. Again, At a recent attempt to remove the DCE, sent an Executive Committee representation led by Peter Ayinbisa Ayamga himslef to Accra to meet with the Vice President on account of plans to get rid of the Bongo DCE. They have since returned without meeting with the Vice President after several days of negotiations to see him. They left shamelessly back to Bolgatanga Region. The question I dare ask at this point is why is Peter Ayinbisa Ayamga so helpless and restless in the current DCE’s position? What is the DCE doing right that they don’t like? The above notwithstanding, Peter Ayinbisa Ayamga has now become a new-normal of a problem in the Region’s Communication Team of the NPP. I have always maintained that as much as politics is business, when your work and sacrifices have gone unrecognized, were you an unalligned party fellow, would have been much ideal. Some time ago, I wrote about the deteriorating plights of the NPP Upper East Region’s Communication team and was faced with denial and name-calling. I am happy however that things have relatively changed in spite of those cooked up denials as party’s leadership saw the need to intervene. The problem however seems to be resurfacing with Peter Ayinbisa Ayamga being put in charge. The starlings have soon began. From the grapevine, about two months ago, some number of phones were received in Accra by Peter Ayinbisa Ayamga for onward distribution to the Communicators of the Region. It is been long expected that the phones should have been given out by now but no one seems to have an idea of the phones’ whereabouts. Can Peter Ayinbisa Ayamga tell us all where these phones are and why the Communicators have not known about them all these days? Lastly, it is strite knowledge that no striking union has ever been denied their monthly payments in this country no matter the longevity of the strike. In the case of the NPP Upper East Region’s Communication team, since they went on their sit-down strike to register their displeasure in the appointment of Peter Ayinbisa Ayamga as Director of Communications, they have been denied without a reason, their monthly stipends. Can Peter Ayinbisa Ayamga tell us when the Communicators are to have their share of the ghc30,000 which is in his personal accounts? The money is their due and cannot be idled in your account while the Communicators are languishing in these hard times. IMF: NPP man lambast government leadership, questioned whereabout of the men.

One of the controversial outspoken member of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Wilson Dabuo, has questioned the whereabout of the men his party claimed they have. Dabuo dissatisfaction resurrected after the official release from the office of the President of the Republic Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo through the Information Ministry instructing the Finance Minister to engage with the International Monetary Fund (IMF). He said, “I believe the President will at this time show some leadership. Change the team A, as the country awaits the IMF arrival. Not only is there hunger in the country, there’s also a pure sight of anger!” Read his full Meta post below: The Wind of  Change that blew across Ghana in the runner up to the 2016 election was such manifest that the opposition then and now government had the goodwill of the people. Motivated by such goodwill, the citizenry were told thatthey have the men and women to deliver. I dare ask the question,Where are the men and the women? Where are they that we can’t see them at work? If this is the team A, they obviously  have not been satisfactory enough! Or it is only the President that see their respective performance? Like the Black Stars of Ghana, we always blame others for our lack of good  showing. Thus, weBlamed COVID-19 and the Russia-Ukraine war. But never thought for once that the team players are core structures in this whole meltdown. How on earth can a President with a cream of competences around him wish to play certain midfielders when indeed there are obvious injuries? I agree we turn to the IMF but until this team of persons around the Presidency are changed, like the joke of the e-levy, the IMF cannot be a panacea either.I believe the President will at this time show some leadership. Change the team A, as the country awaits the IMF arrival. Not only is there hunger in the country, there’s also a pure sight of anger! Source: apexnewsgh.com

I have no time for a known debtor and ungrateful human being, go and pay the debt you owe the dead– Sanusi fires back at Wilson Dabuo

Upper East Regional Communication Director of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Issah Sanusi in a response to Wilson Dabuo’s allegations of him shortchanging the plight of Communicators to his gains within three years and also built a mansion and about to marry a second wife, says he has no time for a known debtor and ungrateful human being like Wilson Dabuo. In a response issued by Wilson Dabuo after the disclaimer released by members of the NPP Upper East Regional Communication team on November 7, 2021, he alleged that, “…the corrupt dealings of individuals like Issah Sanusi whose leadership as a Communication Director has shortchanged the plight of Communicators to his gains within a period of three years. When a desktop employee of Vodafone has suddenly built a mansion and is about to marry a second wife, we should all be concerned about his sudden worth. For the Regional Chairman, Anthony Namoo, the only Chairman in Ghana’s parliament with only one seat, I shall devote a whole tribute to his work in the Region and why he continues to be a bad fate for the party in the Region. Wilson Dabuo alleges  Meanwhile, Issah Sanusi in his response shared with Apexnewsgh.com said since, his resignation as a Vodafone worker 5 years ago, he had since re-engaged himself as a worker with Ghana Standards Authority in charge of Paga. However, he advised Wilson Dabuo to go and settle the debt he owes the late Alhaji Sumaila and refused to pay before his demise to the family. Below is his full response “I’m busy such that I don’t have time for a known debtor and ungrateful human being. In any case, I have never been a desk officer I was head of customer care executive at Vodafone and resigned 1st February 2017 and received my full benefits before becoming a Director. Even a well focus laborer can build a home let alone someone who has never become unemployed since I became an adult, maybe a well-known debtor who has no credibility might be thinking building a home or house is difficult but well determining personally is able to do so. So if I were him I would have been worried I have not been able to settle the late Alhaji Sumaila debt before his demise though he knew Alhaji was in a bad situation but he refused to settle him. So I will advise him to come and settle late Alhaji’s wife and children they will be much grateful to him as for Esther and co he can think of settling them later. Next time he tells you I’m a desk officer at Vodafone tell him I’m grateful though I left Vodafone 5years ago and now with Ghana Standards Authority in charge of Paga but I will still be better than a worthless incredible debtor” Issah Sanusi alleges  Apexnewsgh.com/Ghana/Ngamegbulam Chidozie Stephen Please contact Apexnewsgh.com on email apexnewsgh@gmail.com for your credible news publications. Just In: NPP Man accused party communication Director of shortchanging the plight of communicators to …

Wilson Dabuo a disowned member of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Upper East Regional Communication team in his latest response to the disclaimer issued against him by the Regional Communication Team members has further accused the Regional Communication Director  Sanusi Issah of shortchanged to the plight of Communicators to his gains within three years. Apexnewsgh.com reports However, in a disclaimer earlier issued by members of the Regional Communication team on November 7, 2021, they disassociated themselves from Wilson’s allegations against the regional communication team and further disowned him as their communication team member in the region. “It has come to the attention of the communication team of the NPP in the Upper East Region that one Mr. Wilson Dabou made certain wild and disdainful allegations on the 26th October 2021 on various platforms regarding the plight of the regional communication team members. As a communication outfit of the party, we wish to state unequivocally that the said personality is not known to us as a member cannot be said to be speaking for on our behalf.  We, therefore, wish to collectively disassociate ourselves from such misguided comments he made against the affected individuals and invariably the New Patriotic Party”. The regional communication team disclaimer said. However, Mr. Dabuo said, he will continue to speak truth to power as he further claimed that due to Mr. Sanusi Issah strategy of shortchanging the plight of communicators to his gains within the period of three years he has put a mansion and about to marry a second wife. “ I will continue to speak truth to power and speak out the ills of our party; the corrupt dealings of individuals like Issah Sanusi whose leadership as a Communication Director has shortchanged the plight of Communicators to his gains within a period of three years. Wilson Dabuo stressed Below is the full response Wilson Dabuo writes…. Re: Disclaimer To the Allegations Levelled Against the Communication Team of the NPP By Wilson Dabuo. As I was about to retire to bed at about 8pm last night, a piece of a write up titled the above headline was posted to me. After 30 seconds of glancing through it, I wanted to treat it with such great insignificance until I saw the signatories. Indeed, the occupants of our present society today is full of pretensions. That notwithstanding, I would rather be known in life as an honest sinner than a lying hypocrite and a pathological sycophant. As usual of me I would have ignored it and treated it as elementary, but upon a second thought, I thought that it is important to point out the hypocrisy and dishonesty of the team I came to join as a National Communication Team Member since 2015, until my recent relocation in May 2021. However, there are questions needing urgent attention: what exactly are they disclaiming? What investigation had been carried out to disclaim the claims I made? Since when have they realised that they do not know Wilson Dabuo as part of the Upper East Regional Communications Team and that anything he says now is borne out of naivety and illusion? How could someone who do not understand the modus operandi of the party structure Communicate for same structure on daily basis on all radios in the Region? While at these questions, let me deal with some inaccuracies in the rather pathetic statement. The title of the write up is misleadingly illustrated. It must be put on record that the claims I made in my release were not claims against the Communication members/team of the Upper East Region ( my apologies to them should anyone felt offended) but claims which were directed at the Regional Communications Director, Issah Sanusi and his collaborator, the divisive and controversially vindictive Regional Chairman, Anthony Namoo, whose management of some kind of assorted items and money have led to the deteriorating plights of the communicators. When a thief wants to gain fame, they widen their horizons to catch  some sympathy. But, that is exactly what they’ve succeeded with this statement by forcing the signatories of these disgruntled individuals of the Communication team whose idled complaints were louder than a faulty train system. Another embarrassing display of dishonesty and may be a closest of its description is the clear manifestation of sycophancy, seeking to create the  impression that they do not know me, Wilson  Dabuo, anywhere in the Region’s Communication Team. Like seriously? This is an insult to the evidence out there in the  Region, in particular to you the media men and women and your listenership in the Region. It insults your intelligence as Media Houses. Ridiculous! Who corrupted these guys? Frankly, I have very respected friends among the signatories, man like Johnson, Joseph Singh and Edmund, and thus my conscience incapacitate me to describe what I feel about the entire statement. As for Samuel Akonga, I can understand his nature. He’s a human in a wolf’s clothes, he behaves as a priceless prostitute who teams up with colleague communicators and later sell them out. Very restless with information. He is struggling for loyalty in the Region, and anyone dealing with him should do so with great courage of caution. I understand, he single-handedly wrote that pathetic statement. I believe it! The statement speaks volume of his grammatical deficiencies. Otherwise, there are two great teachers I know in there who speaks very well and certainly wouldn’t write up such cheap words. JUST IN: Wilson Dabuo disowned by Upper East NPP Communication team members

The communication team of the governing New Patriotic Party in the Upper East Region has disowned Wilson Dabuo as a member of their Regional Party Communication team. Apexnewsgh.com reports According to a statement issued and signed by leadership members of the Upper East NPP Regional Communication team on Sunday, November 7, 2021, they have collectively disassociated themselves from what they described as misguided comments made against the affected individuals and invariably the New Patriotic Party on October 26, 2021. Wilson Dabuo in a statement release on October 29, 2021 and copied to the media and national party office with the title “The Deteriorating Plight of the Upper East NPP Communicator, Consequent to a Profiteering Puppet Communication’s Director“ According to the disowned Wilson Dabuo, “Sanusi the Regional Communication Director is one of the biggest disappointments in the scheme of communicators’ disappointments. Communicators just pretend all is well! Under his leadership, which conveniently formed the basis of his description as a Profiteering Puppet, the consistency and regularity with which the remittances came from the presidency, the Vice President and the National security Minister, began to witness a dwindling effect and to some extent could be described as a drought in perpetuity”. He further claimed that “From an earlier remittance of ghc800, it came down to ghc350, then to ghc300 and then to ghc200. In this trend, however, it will take the members three months or more before the latter could be paid. Sometimes, it becomes clearly impossible to find out the source of the money because of its irregularities. You dare not ask for clarity. When you do, he would tag you with suspicion”. He also added “Overall, a disturbing scenario is the under declaration of the President’s total amount of money by Sanusi Issah (from ghc25,000 to ghc15000) to be remitted to the team every month. What about monies that came monthly from National security? And of course, the office of the Vice President? These are exclusive to the many fulfilled promises by party’s individuals from the Region”. However, after making what the regional members of the communication team described as wild and disdainful allegations regarding the plights and activities of the regional Communication outfit.  Members of the Upper East Communication team entreat the general public to treat Dabuo’s allegations with utmost disdain. The communication team is of the believe that such illusive statements as espoused by him were borne out of naivety and lack of clear understanding of the modus operandi of the party structures. We entreat the general public to treat his allegations with utmost disdain. UER: I don’t handle party money, i only give the communication team a piece of fatherly advice —Lawyer Anthony Namoo

Upper East Regional Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party Lawyer Anthony Namoo said, he only gave the communication team a piece of fatherly advice and do not handle party money as accused by one disgruntled Wilson Dabuo. Apexnewsgh.com report According to the Regional Chairman, who was accused by a former member of the regional communication team Wilson Dabuo of collaborating with the Regional Communicator Director Sanusi Issah in making life difficult for communicators by way of squandering money meant for them. Lawyer Namoo said the allegation by the former communication member is baseless because as a party chairman, he doesn’t handle party money. He spoke to Ngamegbulam Chidozie Stephen of Apexnewsgh.com exclusively. “Communication Team money doesn’t come to my hand, it doesn’t come to the regional secretariat, and at the regional secretariat, the treasurer handles money. Money doesn’t keep long in my hand, if money comes to my hand the treasurer takes it. So, communication team money doesn’t come to me”. “The phones Wilson talks about, I never even held the phones to myself. Somebody gave them 54 pieces of phones and as a regional chairman, myself and my executives suggested to them that once the base of the party is at the constituency, they should make sure that at least each constituency received 2 and that is 30 and then, the 24 left they can share it among the regional communication team. So, I don’t think this one is anything”. He said “I remembered once telling them that, anytime somebody comes and give them substantial money, don’t share everything, you keep some for a rainy day and this was a piece of fatherly or brotherly advice. Like for example, somebody comes to greet and maybe say, take Ghc 20,000.00 and give to the communication team and they sit there and shared among themselves and I said, I know sometimes, it will take time for money to come so why can’t you keep like, if somebody comes and gives let’s say Ghc 20,000.00, you can keep Ghc 5,000.00 and share the rest. Later on, somebody may have a funeral, outdooring, or marriage ceremony and you use the same money to help yourselves but am not sure the advice was followed. He stated Lawyer Namoo said, he is not the kind of person that is too hungry for money because he is pleased with what God has blessed him with. Meanwhile, responding further to the allegation of changing the original phone brands donated by the Buffer Stock CEO to the regional communication team, Lawyer Namoo directed the accuser Wilson Dabuo to go back to his home town Upper West region and verify whether the phone brands were changed and not because same was donated to other regions of the north and not only Upper East. “The Phone that the man gave the communication team was across the board, he gave some in Upper West, Upper East, Savanna and North East Region. So, they were the same type of phones, somebody is going to give you a phone and you don’t know the kind of phone the person is bringing, so were you going to mobilize phones of that quantity to change? Because, the phone was given in a programme in the full glare of all constituency executives, we were over 100 people and it was received and handed over to the communication team. If Wilson doubts to brand of the phone, he should go to his home town Upper West and find out whether it wasn’t the same phone he gave. UER: “I gave Wilson Dabuo a brand new motorbike, I gave him a phone and pay his debts–Sanusi Issah

The Upper East Communication Director of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Sanusi Issah has refuted the accusation and allegation made against him by one Wilson Dabuo a former member of the Regional Communication team, says Wilson Dabuo benefitted a lots from his leadership. Apexnewsgh.com reports Mr. Dabuo had earlier accused and described Mr. Sanusi Issah as a weakling leader who could not fight for the interest of communicators in the region. He later accused Mr. Sanusi of collaborating with the Regional Chairman to change the original brand of phones donated to communicators by the Buffer stock CEO in 2020. “…the fact is that, as a Director in charge of communication of the region, you are part of the executive, it is a fact that the constitution mandates the executive to appoint but, the appointment of the regional director of communication comes with the support base of communicators, we supported him thinking that he would have come in to be a man of himself but he is shown, he is a weakling and could not fight for the interest of communicators in the region. And so, he is been manipulated here and there and used to do things that go a long way to affecting the motivation level of communication in the region. Mr. Dabuo said. Meanwhile, when Ngamegbulam Chidozie Stephen of Apexnewsgh.com seeks the response of the accused in the person of Sanusi Issah, the Upper East Communication Director of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) he said, the whole thing started after he took Wilson Dabuo out from the Regional Party Communication platform. He refuted the accusation against him as the NPP Regional Director of Communication as he stressed, that is only God that will be the judge between himself and the former regional communication member Wilson Dabuo “Is only God that will intervene between myself and him, only God knows what I have done for him as an individual and as a member of the communication team. I gave him a brand new motorbike, I paid his debts, I gave monies for him to repair his car. “Now what is the issue?. You are no longer here in the region, when he made a certain comment, i told him, I want him to stay away for a while and i will see what i can do and immediately, he came and informed me he had a job at Winneba that he will be packing to Winneba. So, if you are living at Winneba, what business do you have as a communicator in the Upper East Region? Even in Winneba he texted me that I can still help him with some coins if I have, with some words like ‘hard-working Director’ bla bla. “I took him out of the communication platform and he gave me a message to explain why I took him off and I was even about to tell him, because he is no longer in the region and because that has been the situation for any communicator outside the region Bediako was even a founding member of the communication team in the region and was removed from the platform, Salahudeen we took him out of the platform, Inusah and co were removed. So, why will (WILSON) own be different? He questioned According to Mr. Sanusi, he will not reduce himself by engaging a character such as Wilson Dabuo who has benefitted a lot from him individually and as a Communication Director through his excess demanding skills and ungratefully decides to attack him in the media. He said Wilson Dabuo has a lifestyle of buying things on credit without making payments which will normally result in people following him up and down for their monies which he will never pay back and later (He) Sanusi end up paying the debts on his behalf. Responding to the allegation of not taking care of the communicators, Mr. Sanusi said he was not trained to be going around shouting the help he is rendering to colleague communicators which he Wilson Dabuo is a good example. “I gave Wilson a brand new motorbike, i gave him a phone, as for money I can’t even talk about it. He goes to patrol station to buy fuel and he won’t pay, there are people he still owes, so why will i be worried about such a character”. he asked Apexnewsgh.com/Ghana/Ngamegbulam Chidozie Stephen Please contact Apexnewsgh.com on email apexnewsgh@gmail.com for your credible news publications. UER:NPP Communication Director accused and described as weakling leader by Wilson Dabuo

The Upper East Regional Communication Director of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Sanusi Issah has been hit with accusation as a weakling leader who does not care for the welfare of members of the communication team in the region by one Wilson Dabuo a former member of the Upper East Regional communication team. Apexnewsgh.com reports According to the former NPP Upper East Regional Communication team member Wilson Dabuo, as far as handling affairs of communicators is concerned, Mr. Sanusi Issah the party Regional Communication Director hasn’t shown leadership, he hasn’t shown that kind of motivation or even to stand up for his colleague communicators. Mr. Dabuo made the alleged accusation and allegation during an interview with Ngamegbulam Chidozie Stephen of Apexnews Ghana on Wednesday, October 27, 2021. He said “…the least you talk about Sanusi the Upper East Regional Director of Communication the better. He is one person that has actually disappointed everybody as far as handling affairs of communicators is concerned, he hasn’t shown leadership, he hasn’t shown that kind of strength and motivation, he hasn’t shown any level of leadership that where there is a need for him to stand up for his colleague communicators. He is not doing such a thing. It is weakening to actually mention his name as a Director”. “The fact is that, as a Director in charge of communication of the region, you are part of the executive, it is a fact that the constitution mandates the executive to appoint but, the appointment of the regional director of communication comes with the support base of communicators, we supported him thinking that he would have come in to be a man of himself but he is shown, he is a weakling and could not actually fight for the interest of communicators in the region. And so, he is been manipulated here and there and used to do things that go a long way to affecting the motivation level of communication in the region. He stated And I tell you that in his tenure as Director, communicators only appear on radio to talk just because they love the party, but if is to actually take the consideration they received from Sanusi, they will not actually go for a radio programme and I tell you on record. So, it still remains, as usual, sacrificing for your party. For how long is our communicators going to be sacrificing for our party that is in power and we are not getting anything out of it?” Mr. Dabuo further accused the Upper Regional of the governing NPP Chairman Anthony Namoo and the Regional Communication Director Sanusi Issah of changing the phones brand that was donated by the buffer stock CEO to the communicators somewhere in 2020 within 24hrs at Blue Sky Hotel. “This Director is weak and he is in bed with the regional executive particularly the Chairman and when anything that comes… you remember an issue with some phones that were given to communicators? The phone came and the brand got changed who did that Anthony Namoo collaborated with the Regional Director of Communication and they did that, I tell you. Because we were aware of the brand that came, within 24hrs from the source where the phones were delivered at that particular spot at Blues Hotel the brand of the phones got changed to something that could not last a month. And, I can tell you that those who benefited from those phones will tell you that the phones didn’t last for two weeks. Meanwhile, the very person that brought the phone also gave them the executives the same brand. So, how come the communicators were not able to get the exact brand that was given, how come? In a very strange manner, communicators had their own changed.  “But because we were in an election year, nobody wanted to talk and we silent it like that but the communicator lives in pain with such experiences. If you had leadership who would stand for the ordinary people that he is serving, I do not think these things should be happening and among the communicators in the Upper East Region”. He stressed Mr. Dabuo further told Apexnewsgh.com that there are so many things that are happening and yet people cannot talk because when they talk, leadership will silent them and treat them badly. Upper East NPP Communicator questioned why the Health Minister is still occupying his position?

A member of the Communication team of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Upper East Region Wilson Dabuo has questioned why the Health Minister Kwaku Agyeman-Manu will be allowed to go in his obvious acts of commission and omission? The party communicator’s post was sighted on his personal Facebook wall. His reactions came after some Ghanaians and some notable Civil Society Organizations such as ASEPA, Occupy Ghana and others have demanded the Minister’s resignation following his conduct in the recent reports by the parliament committee. It has since been established that the procurement processes even though involved an international contract, did not pass through parliament as required by law. The Health Minister says there was an urgent need to procure the vaccines and he intended to later ratify the process through parliament, Ghana has already paid GH¢16.3 million, representing 50 percent payment, according to an ad hoc parliamentary committee that investigated the controversial deal and directed that the Finance Minister should make efforts to retrieve the money. However, Wilson Dabuo, one who is known for speaking up his mind on party’s issues even radio as a party communicator has added his voice as he questioned the difficulty in letting the Health Minister go in his obvious acts of commission and omission but it was easy to let go Boakye Agyarko in similar acts of commission and omission? Mr. Dabuo added the boldness and courage with which he committed himself to those embarrassing blunders cannot be overlooked, no matter the tactfulness of defense.
