A member of the National Democratic Party (NDC) Communication team Isaac Ayemvoa Atambila has alleged that the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) designated a V8 that is carrying a shovel and pickaxe following the President around just for the purpose of sod-cutting.
Mr. Ayemvoa popularly known as ‘UNDERSTANDING’ made the pronouncement on Apexnewsgh.com development programme dubbed “SPEAKOUT UPPER EAST REGION” on Friday, September 16, 2022.
He was responding to some developmental issues on the ongoing Agenda 111 projects within the Upper East Region as he sighted Pwalungu Multipurpose dam, and One Village One Dam as failed projects in the region by the Akufo-Addo-led government.
“We told this project in 50 months, roughly close to four years. Here we are today we are almost there and if you go to the site now, is as good as a grazing yard for animals, with nothing to show. In fact, the contractor had suddenly packed back to somewhere. Now are been told stories. There are several significants that are playing out to that particular project but I don’t just want us to dwell on this though. But we are not moved by sod-cutting. It was a political campaign promise just to get people to vote for them”.
“So, what they did was that they designated a particular V8 and in that V8, you have a shovel and a pickaxe so that any place the president traveled to and it turned to a campaign, if a chief comes out to say he wants a hospital. The President will ask, do you have a land? If the chief said yes, President will say oh okey tomorrow let’s go there, and i will cut a sod”. He alleged
