Adongo has been a relentless champion for development, leaving a profound impact on the lives of his constituents across multiple sectors. This was revealed in a press conference organized by the constituency communication directorate led by Job Aboyom on Thursday Deccember 5, 2024.
One of the cornerstones of his work has been in the health sector. Hon. Adongo firmly believes that a nation’s true wealth lies in the health of its citizens. His commitment to this cause is evident through numerous ambitious health initiatives. Communities like Tindomolgo, Nyokokor-Bassego, and Kalbeo now boast newly constructed maternity blocks, ensuring safer childbirth experiences for local mothers.
Additionally, he has spearheaded the rehabilitation of nurses’ quarters in Sumbrungu-Amogrebissi and overseen the renovation of health centers at Nyariga and Yorogo-Kunkua. His dedication doesn’t stop there; he has also generously donated essential medical equipment to six clinics within the constituency, enhancing healthcare delivery significantly.

In his quest to promote a better quality of life, Hon. Adongo has turned his attention to water and sanitation. His efforts have brought clean and accessible water to many, marked by the successful drilling and handover of 77 boreholes across the constituency. The Bolgatanga Central Constituency Communication Officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Job Aboyom has organized a press conference to outline what he described as massive development project undertaken by Bolga Central Member of Parliament (MP) since 2017 till date to the advantage of constituents.

- We have invited you here today to make available abundant information on the development projects of our very Hon. Isaac Adongo (MP) to constituents of Bolgatanga Central and everybody in town from 2017 to date under the following key sectors, so that we get to continuosly appreciated and retained him to catapult JDM and NDC into massive victory in upcoming general elections of December 7, 2024.
HEALTH SECTOR
- Ladies and Gentlemen of the media, the Hon. Isaac Adongo (MP) is a passionate believer of the saying that the wealth of a nation is in the health of its people. For this Hon. Adongo has embarked on massive health development in Bolga Central Constituency. Here is scorecard in health projects since 2017 to 2024 as stated below;

EDUCATIONAL SECTOR
- Hon. Isaac Adongo has an inexhaustible interest in seeing to it that his constituents are well and highly educated. And so in education, Hon. Adongo has successfully executed the following;

Built Akakiya Primary School kitchen located at Yorogo.
Reroofed Sokabisi Primary School block at Sokabisi.
Reroofed a Primary School block at Zaare English and Arabic School.
Reroofed Zamstech Science Laboratory at Zamse SHSTS.
Supplied building materials for the construction of Yipala JHS at Yipala.
Supplied building materials for the rehabilitation of Atampuru Primary School at Sumbrumgu-Amogrebisi.
Constructed 3-unit KG school block at Tindonsobiligo by way of reroofing.
Supplied about 1200 mono desks to nine(9) selected Basic and Second cycle schools in Bolga Central.
Renovated 31st December Primary School at Tindonsobiligo.
Renovated St. Paul’s Primary School at Soe.
Renovated Umaria Basic School at Sabon-Zongo.

Supported about 1,010 students financially to pay their school fees.
Supplied 500 metal framed dual desks to seven(7) selected schools in the municipality. Namely; Yikine Primary School, Preparatory Primary School, Awogeya Primary School, Yorogo Primary School, Kalbeo-Tindonsobiligo Primary School, Nyarega L/A Primary School and Sokabisi Primary School.
In December 2022, Hon. Isaac Adongo (MP) supplied another 1,200 mono desks to nine (9) selected schools in the constituency, namel; Aswaj Primary School, Umaria Primary School, Atampuri Primary School, Sherigo SHS, Zaare Experimental Primary School, Baptist Primary School, Asoregobisi Primary School and Bolgatanga Central Technical/Vocational Institute.
Hon. Adongo sponsored Mock Exams for the 2021 BECE candidates with an enrollment of 2,781 students. This covers both private and public Junior High Schools in Bolga Central.
Again, Hon. Adongo went step further and sponsored the mock exams for the 2024 BECE candidates with an enrollment of 2,930 students in 79 schools. This again, covers both private and public Junior High Schools in the municipality.
WATER AND SANITATION
- Friends from the media, it is instructive to note that Hon. Adongo has also distinguished himself in the area of portable water for the good people of Bolgatanga Central. He has successfully drilled and handed over 77 boreholes.
- Closely related to the above, Hon. Adongo believes that cleanliness is next to Godliness. What has done in connection to this? He has embarked on clearing refuge dumps at the following communities in the constituency. These include;
Atulbabiisi dump site which has been completely cleared.
Nawuma Area dump site has been cleared.
Assemblies of God Area dump site has been completely cleared.
O.A. Terminal dump site has been completely cleared.
Rashadiya Area dump site has been cleared and finally, arrangements has put in place to clear the remaining dump sites in due course.
SECURITY SECTOR
- Ladies and Gentlemen, it is refreshing to note that Hon. Isaac Adongo (MP) built a befitting Police Post at Sherigo so that the good people of that enclave can go about their businesses in a safe environment. Arm robbery and other nefarious activities can no longer happen in broad daylight.
ROAD SECTOR
- Hon. Isaac Adongo (MP) has constructed culverts, reshaped roads and dredged canals for purposes of irrigation with the constituency. This consists of the following;
Sumbrumgu-Kulbia road 1.2 double pipe culvert constructed, from Sumbrumgu market to Kulbia.
Zaare West road near Lawdong International school 1.2 double pipe culvert constructed, within Zaare community.
Sumbrumgu Nayire double pipe culvert is being worked on within Sumbrumgu-Amogrebisi community.
Soe-Kugadoone double pipe culvert is also being worked on.
Yorogo Asore Kunkua double pipe culvert is being worked on within Yorogo community.
Reshaping of inner roads has done completely at the following communities including;
Bantama inner road near Doxa Court at Soe residential area.
Behind Sports Stadium inner road to Afrikids at Daporitindongo.
Great Victory Academy Preschool road to Kalbeo.
SSNIT road to Tindonsobiligo inner road within Tindonsobiligo.
Akanjuss roads through to Noah City Hotel at Zaare.
Catering Rest House/Bukere inner roads at Bukere.
Asongtaaba guinea fowl junction road through Azorebisi to Asoogoo at Azorebisi.
Sumbrumgu Police Post road to Atampuri inner road at Amogrebisi.
Tanzui/Zorbisi/Sokabisi road to Sherigo has been reshaped completely.
Zaare to Nyarega road at Nyarega has been reshaped.
- Ladies and Gentlemen, friends from the media, the Hon. Isaac Adongo has not left behind his gallant farmers in his dealings as MP. He has successfully dredged canals for purposes of irrigation farms serving five(5) communities. These are Nyarega, Zaare, Yikine, Yorogo and Sumbrumgu. Again, work is in progress to reconstruct and completely dredge the Bam Bank to efficiently serve the greater part of Sumbrumgu and Dazongo.
- Another great feat chalked by the Hon. Isaac Adongo in the constituency has been his massive erection of grinding mills proper. These communities below bear him out respectfully.

In conclusion, ladies and gentlemen, friends from the media, Hon. Isaac Adongo (MP) has consistently donated generously to all manner of people and functions in the Bolgatanga Central Constituency. One of such donations which proves outstanding is his donation of 810 tea bags, 710 crate of milk and 710 bags of sugar(50kg) to our Muslim community in the constituency since 2017 to 2024. With this solid track record demonstrated by the brilliant and articulate Member of Parliament in the person of Isaac Adongo, there should not be anybody blocking his way to being retained as MP for Bolgatanga Central.
