In a statement, Al-Khomeini extended his appreciation to various groups, including the people of Upper East, TESCON, Artisanal Groups, Party Executives, Youth Groups, and Party Members, for making it possible to host Dr. Bawumia for the Youth Connect event in Bolgatanga. He emphasized that the impressive turnout has sent a strong signal that the Upper East Region is “battle-ready” for the 2024 election.

Al-Khomeini’s confidence stems from the overwhelming support shown by the people of Upper East during Dr. Bawumia’s visit, which he believes indicates a strong desire for change and a vote of confidence in the NPP’s leadership. With this momentum, the party is poised for a successful campaign and eventual victory in the 2024 election.

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia held a series of engagements with various stakeholders in the Upper East Region as part of his campaign tour. He met with the clergy, faith-based organizations, the Regional House of Chiefs, and members of the Muslim community to discuss issues affecting the region and promote his presidential bid.

Following these engagements, Dr. Bawumia proceeded to the Gbane community in the Talensi District, where he was received with a grand durbar in his honor.

The durbar provided an opportunity for the Vice President to interact with the people of Gbane and listen to their concerns, as well as share his vision for the region’s development.

These engagements demonstrate Dr. Bawumia’s commitment to building relationships with diverse groups and understanding the needs of the Upper East Region, as he seeks to become the next President of Ghana.
