The celebration of the 30th anniversary of parliamentary democracy was climaxed in Bogatanga the Upper East Regional capital.
It started with a peace walk from the Upper East Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) through the principal street of Bolgatanga and later ended at Mobile Park.
Meanwhile, ending the peace walk for the morning section, the Members of Parliament reconvened at the mobile park for the climax which saw a lot of sporting activities such as a sack race, draft, and football games.
Interestingly, the Members of Parliament present at the celebration participated in all the sporting activities and did massively well. One would have thought that the MPs are only good at making laws in the chamber of parliament.
Unfortunately, the MPs have proven that aside from making laws in parliament, they are also good at sporting activities, especially football.
The member of parliament for Nabdam Constituency Dr. Mark Kurt Nawaane, the Bolga East MP, Dr. Dominc Ayine, the Bolga Central MP, Isaac Adongo, the Garu MP, Hon. Albert Akuka Alalzuuga and Hon. Cletus Avoka the Zebilla Member of parliament exhibited massive skills in the field of play during a football game between staff of Upper East Regional Coordinating Council and Members of Parliament.
However, because of the tough nature of the game, both sides ended the game in a 1-1 draw resulting in a penalty that later went in favor of the RCC team.
However, the skills exhibited by the MPs were so massive check it out.
