Bawku Conflict is very unfortunate, as he calls for peace and harmony–Dr. Bawumia

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has described the conflict in Bawku as a very unfortunate one. Dr. registered his displeasure when he joined traditional leaders and the peoples of the Upper East for the commissioning of the renovated Regional House of Chiefs office complex in Bolgatanga. “I made a call for peace and harmony and also urged the Chiefs and people in the region to continue to collaborate with Government and other key stakeholders to resolve any issues that have derailed the peace and development of the Region, especially Chieftaincy disputes”. He stressed Dr. Bawumia admonished the traditional leaders, youth, the various factions, and other key stakeholders, to team up with the government and security agencies, to find lasting peace for the area for development to take place. “As a son of the soil, my heart breaks about what is happening in Bawku”, Dr. Bawumia said to the traditional leaders, adding: “The conflict in Bawku is very unfortunate because we are really one people, and we must be together and not fight”. “So, I hope that the initiatives that the government has initiated through the House of Chiefs and the Otumfuo will help us bring lasting peace to the area”. Dr. Bawumia hits NDC hard in Kumawu with these two….

Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia has used Dumsor and Ghana fowl that escaped to Burkina Faso to round up his campaign at the final rally of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Kumawu Constituency in the Ashanti Region. Pointing out some of the drama that happened during the time of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr. Bawumia pointed out ‘dumsor, as one of the reasons the NPP faithful must reject the NDC in Kumawu. According to the Vice President, “The NDC is roaming about that we should vote for the NDC candidate, do they think that we have forgotten about them or that we don’t think? He asked “Do you remember that during the NDC era, we slept in dumsor, for four years; is that not the case? Do you want us to go back to dumsor again? Or you want him to go and bring back the missing guinea fowls that escaped to Burkina Faso? During their time in office, the NDC established two factories, just two. We have established over 150”. Voters in Kumawu will elect a replacement for their Member of Parliament, Philip Atta Basoah, who died on 27th March this year while still serving his 3rd consecutive term. The biggest Mortuary in the Upper East could be found in the ongoing Agenda 111 project at the Kantanga community of the Bolgatanga East District in the Upper East Region. This was according to the assurance C&H Logistics and Askpar Limited, the contractors in charge of the ongoing hospital project in the area gave to the Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia when he visited the project site on Wednesday, May 17, 2023. The Vice President who so excited, expressed satisfaction with the level of work done by the contractors in charge of the project. He says, when he returns to Accra, he will surely report the project development to the project. “However, coming into Bolga East today, accompanied by the Regional Minister and the DCE, we are here to look at how the progress of the work done, and I must tell you that, I am very pleased with the progress of work done. All the buildings for the hospital are up to roofing level and I am assured that in a few months, the roofing will be pretty much done. Mr. Michael Omari Wadie, the immediate past third national vice chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), is of the view that the 2024 presidential election will be a contest between Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia, who he considers as a competent prospect; and former President John Mahama, an incompetent politician. Kenya borrows Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s newborn I.D digitalization ideas completely

In 2021, Ghana’s Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia announced, that barring any unforeseen circumstances, every newborn child delivered in Ghana next year will get, within a few months, a Ghanacard number. Apexnewsgh report According to Vice President, the actual card will be issued when the child is grown and the biometrics are fully formed (after age 6). Dr. Bawumia said the move forms part of the digital reforms being undertaken at the Births and Deaths Registry to make it more in tune with the times and provide better protect information on the citizens and residents of Ghana. However, after two years of that announcement by Ghana’s Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, it appears the Kenyan government has emulated the idea of Ghana’s Vice President in that direction. On Monday, February 6, 2023, Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki made a similar announcement that the Interior Ministry will be digitizing birth and death records starting March 1, 2023. He said, all children born in Kenya will soon be assigned a unique identification number at birth that will later be used in school and eventually become their national identity number. He added, newborns, will soon be assigned a Unique Personal Identifier (UPI) at birth. This will later become the individual’s national ID, social security number, health insurance number and eventually the death certificate number. “It will be their Nemis (National Education Management Information System) number in school.
