Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has apologised publicly to his first wife, May Yul-Edochie. The actor on his Instagram page said his decision to marry a second wife was not to disrespect or replace her. Edochie wrote, “To my dear wife, Queen May Yul-Edochie, I acknowledge that I hurt you deeply and I’ve apologized to you countless times. “I take the blame for my actions. I agree with you that polygamy shouldn’t be forced on anyone. You never bargained for it from the beginning, neither did I. But I guess life happens. “You already know the whole story. Elon Musk to quit as Twitter CEO when replacement found
Elon Musk has said he will resign as Twitter’s chief executive officer when he finds someone “foolish enough to take the job”. The chief of Opah, a community in the Ga West municipality, Nii Ayitey Okuansuro II, has advised Ghanaian parents to desist from wasting money on funeral clothing and invest such a resource in their children’s future, especially in the area of education. According to him, education is a tool and a passport needed by every child to progress in life, whether formal or informal, and he will urge every parent to see the need to invest in them. “Our children are the future generation, and we cannot afford to fail them. We must invest in them,” the traditional ruler said. The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Bernard Antwi Boasiako popularly Known as Chairman Wontumi has questioned members how winning 2024 election is possible for NPP without members securing their Ghana Card. Speaking at the NPP Ashanti Regional Branch of the Tertiary Student Confederacy (TESCON) three days camp meeting by members of all the 58 tertiary institutions in Kumasi, Chairman Wontumi said “You are always saying break the 8 but you don’t have a Ghana Card. How can we win the election in 2024 while you still don’t have a Ghana card? If you are a TESCON member and you don’t have a Ghana Card it means you are not ready for power. Winning election 2024 is a process which starts with securing a Ghana card followed by other actions through the years ahead before the final action on the Election Day’’ he said According to the controversial Chairman, ”breaking the 8 agenda requires extra tactical and hardworking mentality by all members and various professional groups within the party to achieve the party’s agenda for election 2024. The Member of Parliament (MP) for South Dayi, Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor, is alleging that the Ministry of Finance cannot explain details of an expenditure item that cost GH¢2.4 billion 2023 budget. The MP posted on his Twitter handle, that the expenditure item which was captioned “Resource Mobilization & Economic Relations” amounts to over GH¢1 billion but the Finance Ministry cannot explain exactly what the money is going to be used for. “The Ministry of Finance has submitted GH¢2.4b as its Budget for 2023. Out of this, the Finance Ministry has earmarked a whooping Ghc1billion for a nebulous “Resource Mobilization & Economic Relations”. The Ministry cannot explain to Parliament what exactly that entails,” parts of a tweet Dafeamekpor shared read. People will call you if they believe that you offer solutions and because of that my phone is the most-called in the whole NDC. “Because I provide solutions, things that are to be handled by constituency executives are sometimes brought to my attention. “I’m on more than 3,000 NDC platforms and I don’t know how any human being can follow and post on all these platforms.
