Meanwhile, sharing some of the importance of donkeys, the chairman of Ghana Poultry Network (GAPNET) said donkeys play a very important and crucial role in rural communities as working animals, especially by way of assisting community members in terms of farming, transportation, and some other important tasks. He believes that the shortage or better elimination of donkeys in rural communities will definitely affect local economies and agricultural practices, which automatically will become a burden to farmers and the rural people.
