Chief of Balungu a community in the traditional area in the Upper East Region Naba John Attia (Wmaribilsonga Niitinga/Putisonne maaletinga) has said, the paramount Chief of the Talensi traditional area Tongraan Kugbilsong Nanlebetang delegates him to most of the activities as his representative, because he has seen him as a dynamic person.
However, clearing the controversy surrounding his frequent closeness with the paramount chief of the area, following residents taught that there must be a tangible reason why the paramount chief of the Talensi traditional feel so comfortable delegating the chief of Balungu traditional area mostly ahead of some other sub-chiefs as his representative.
Meanwhile, responding to the said question during an exclusive engagement with Apexnewsgh.com, Naba John Attia explained, that he is loved by the paramount chief because he sees him as a dynamic man who always stands by the truth.
“The love is because when I see the truth, I tell the truth. So, as a regent people will take my report to the paramount Chief and when he asked me about what was against me, I said yes I had done it, if it is no, I said no I had not done it. Actually, as a regent for 3 years, all regents were selling lands, make your investigation and you would find out. But for the 3 years as a regent, the paramount chief didn’t hear anything about me selling land”.
