There has been an ongoing exchange of words that could lead to something ugly if security officials delayed calming down nerves at the Bongo District Assembly.

The election of the presiding officer is scheduled to take place today, but the information available to this platform says the Old government appointees at the Bongo district Assembly are angry with the step taken by the District Chief Executive Madam Rita Atanga.

According to our source, “The Bongo District Assembly is supposed to elect a presiding member today. So, the problem is that the government appointees that have been in the office for the past two years have ended their term in office and the assembly led by the district chief executive has to replace them. So, when the record was given and they had to go there and start the process, the DCE came out with a new list to replace the old 17 government appointees. our source revealed

“The old government appointees never took it kindly because they were not informed that they will be replaced. So, they will not agree. So, it is now a misunderstanding between the old government appointees and the DCE. That’s the reason for the confusion”.

In the videotape available to us, one could hear words like, you can come and destroy the party when you cannot even write your name, some say, no information to replace them, and so on.

As if wasn’t enough, someone also went remove the metre fuse to the Electoral Commission and turned everywhere blackout”
