Osman Ayariga an interested aspiring candidate for the position of National Deputy Youth Organizer in the upcoming internal party election of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has informed members of TEIN at the Bolgatanga Technical University (BTU) that there is a need to activate the Jehovah’s Witness style of winning souls as a campaign method ahead of the 2024 election.
“We need to go out and campaign assiduously as Jehovah’s Witnesses campaign to win souls, we need to go out and campaign to win the next election”. He stressed
However, Mr. Ayariga said, in as many members of TEIN will be ready to be used to recover power from the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), those given the opportunity must give some level of assurance to the TEIN members that, they will not turn their back on them as usual.
“I see that what they require from you is assurance. Assurance that when they fight out of their right to bring the party back to power, the arrogance of the power will not eat our leaders. They just need assurance that when they come to you for help, you will not shut your door on them. They need the assurance that when they come to you for ordinary NSS posting, you won’t tell them that, this is not a party office but is a state office, they need assurance that when they come to you for nursing re-posting, you will not tell them that, I ran the office as a state office and not a party office, they need the assurances from you that when they come to you for a scholarship you will give them stories, this is the assurance they want”. He stressed
He said, all they need as TEIN need is to be empowered, “we won’t come chasing for the position you acquired, we are tired of every day Ghc 100.00, Ghc 200.00 or these small monies here and there, we need to be empowered”. He expressed
