After the June 23-24 rebellion, the Kremlin announced that the group’s founder, Yevgeny Prigozhin, would “leave” for Belarus. The mercenaries were offered to return home, sign a contract with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation or leave with Prigozhin.
On July 14, the Ministry of Defense of Belarus confirmed the arrival of PMC Wagner mercenaries in a camp in the Mogilev region. The agency published a report stating that the “Wagnerians” began to train the military territorial troops of Belarus in the camp near Asipovichi.
